Tbh, the bigger factor for being less efficient in gaming in higher age is lack of time for practice in conjunction with having lot of RL stuff on mind all the time than getting older.

NWN2: EE or Icewind Dale 2 Remake - a possibility?
Mamoulian War replied to Melusina's topic in Computer and Console
After seeing how has Beamdog enhanced NWN1 (mostly with the price hike) I would not be very sure to to want to see them enhancing NWN2 as well... -
It's very individual, some people have nausea, some people have problems with motion stability, and some do not have a problem at all. I have nausea from VR only when I am tipsy, but I am not able to play VR stuff while standing.

Xbox also tried to force Kinect, and we all know how it ended. VR costs a lot, and bundling it, would lead to PS5 being to expensive compared to competition IMO. Edit: also OLED on DS5 and DS5 being as big as DS4 according the article makes the article to me not very plausible. Also 6TB SSD, would hike up the price of the unit to the 1000bucks area, which makes the article even less believable.

Doing slow progress in Tales of Vesperia, and trying to stream the thing, but stupid twitch mutes in every video one music for few minutes, which btw loops the whole time... That muting feature is pretty stupidly done... Besides that, I love the game

I miss the option “Still on my backlog”. I feel so excluded :’(

And first three races done in the GT2 career part of Assetto Corsa. I really like BMW Z4 GT3 car, compared to few previous beasts. Three races on first place in four attempts. So far my best Assetto session My three best races on twitch https://www.twitch.tv/videos/362164089?collection=Qf8vjkqicBUncg

A little funny take on AAA publishers Jim Sterling presents! Seven Deadly Sins :D

There was also complete pack on PS3 released by NISA. All 3 on one BluRay. The original versions not the Vita re:birth remakes.

Finally finished the GT1 Quick Races in Career mode in Assetto Corsa. I found out, that I really hate McLaren MP4-12C GT3 car, because the rear wheels are always sliding away for me, and with combination with Mugello circuit, I've spent 2.5 half hours to win the race on Medium difficulty, before I had to give up and drop it to Easy All other cars in the championship are very good for handling even in base setup. All I've needed to win was Slick Soft tyres and little bit of practice. If anyone is curious, here are 3 today's races : https://www.twitch.tv/videos/359809701?collection=Qf8vjkqicBUncg

For freebies, last I knew, Audacity, noise reduction feature. It likely won't be perfect (too much can make the other sounds wonky) but it may reduce it enough for you to tolerate it. I haven't fiddled with that stuff very much tho, so I'm not an expert. The general concept is to extract the audio from the video as a .wav, you have to find a short example of just the noise (a segment without any of the actual game noises in it) so Audacity has a reference point to run an auto filter. Or you can just try to manually choose some settings. When you're done, put the audiotrack back/replace the original track via a video editor. There's probably tutorials on YouTube or other, somewhere. Through my "pc speakers" your video isn't that bad - eg the game noises can be easily heard at a lower volume setting where the white noise feedback sound isn't really that audible. But I'd guess headphones is where it's very noticeable even at low volumes. Thanks for help, I've played little bit with your recommendations, and I've got this in the end: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/358671863 Unfortunately, the quality of video went down as well during the editing. The sound is little bit ridiculous now, but still much better Thanks again.

Yes. Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 was real gem!

Guys and gals, anyone with knowledge of video editing can help me out (or with streamer OBS software)? I have started for my own fun do do some streaming, and planning to upload some of my noobie videos later on youtube, but my PC somehow fails me with sound stuff. I have noticed it only today, and it ruined my Xenonauts video, with weird backsound from my MIC, even if it is disconnected. I would like to ask you for an advice, if it is possible to remove that annoying and stupid sound with some free video editing software, and how to do it, because I fail at the knowledge how to repair it Because I would like to repair it and reupload the cleaned version again Many thanks for any help. Here is the link to the ruined video https://www.twitch.tv/videos/358433148

And first game of 2019 finished just few minutes ago I have finally defeated Xenonauts after long break I've taken, when I've moved to my new place, two years ago. The game is excellent tribute to original Xcom games, and I've enjoyed it, despite some of the missions with Reapers were frustrating, because even if I ended my turn with lot of TUs saved for "overwatch" shots, most of my agents in most cases started to shoot at them, after they killed someone already. And that was actually the main reason, why I took such a long break from the game Despite this big flaw, O can't wait to see the release of second game, and hope, they will make it less frustrating

Yes, it is called Legacy of Fire, unfortunately, it was made in OGL 3.5 rules and not PF rules, so game adaptation will probably never happen Maybe in the future, once I get a driving job with a more regular schedule, some of us forumites can get a Legacy of Fire p&p game going over the interwebs via roll20? I'm feenin' for some Arabian Nights roleplaying. I am up for it, just most of the time, it is impossible for me to find good schedule for EU and US timezone cooperation

Quite on the contrary -- it impresses me (and puts to shame as well) - if you do your games so meticulously, then how do you do your taxes? Haha. For some reason, I have started to make little bit verbose list of my finished games in 2015, and every time, I finish some game, I add it to the list with few words and impressions, so I can remember it much better later The reason might be, that I still remember Doom cheat codes and Mortal Kombat 1 moves and Fatalities from late 90's when I've played the games, but I can't remember some details from the newer games. Maybe the new games are just less exceptional, than the older ones, and are not so worthy to remember And the taxes, well, I am happy, that accountants at the company, where I am working, are doing that for every employee

Because it is the end of 2018, I think, it is good time to post some summary of all the games I've played and finished this year, hopefully the length of it does not offend you 2018 10 games – 4 GoG games, 1 PS2 game and 5 PS3 games 1 - January 28, 3:45 - My first finished game of the year became Shadowrun Dragonfall - Director's Cut. I had the game in my backlog despite having it almost from day 1. I have moved, bought PS4 and Project CARS, so I have pushed to play it further and further, until last Xmas. In the end, I loved the game even more than the original and can't wait to play the Hong Kong game. But few other games need to be kicked out of my backlog first 2 - April 10, 20:15 - I have finished blind walkthrough of Tales of the Abyss on PS2. The game started little bit slow, because I was overwhelmed by the amount of the text, which was thrown at me, even for jRPG standards. In the end, I still have enjoyed the game, and spent almost 80 hours while playing it (2 and half months of real time due to crazy work schedule). But still, I can only recommend the game to every jRPG fan, which have not played it yet. 3 - May 12, 19:00 - Finished today the first Torchlight with Alchemist on Normal difficulty. Fun and short game to play in between other games, or just to have some relax 4 - June 24, 17:45 - After the developer was so kind to fix the bug, which I have encountered in the final bossfight, I was finally able to finish StarCrawlers. Very enjoyable game for me, despite few small bugs. Developer also provided new free update for the game, which added hacking to it, so there is big motivation for me to play the New Game + again in a near future 5 - July 5, 23:45 - After rage-quitting 6 years ago on Capra Demon, I have just finished Dark Souls for the first time on PS3. When I have finally decided to go against the Gwyn, I was surprised how fast he killed me . After 10 or more tries, when I was never able to make more than 25% damage to him, I have decided to try my luck with summoning white phantom. I was lucky and found one guy, right at the start of the Kiln. Two people against Gwyn was just short execution. I have chosen The Dark Lord ending. 6 - July 28, 17:15 - I have finished Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on PS3. This time, I have used more casting focused character, and finished every quest line, joined every covenant and picked up every item possible which could be acquired in NG. I have also played DLC for the first time, and the fight with Kalameet was one of the best bossfights I have ever had in a computer game. Just epic! This time, I have chosen To Link the Fire ending. 7 - September 2, 14:15 - My NG+ run of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on PS3 is finally finished. I have now every item and equip, besides two soul boss upgrade items, which I am still missing for Platinum Trophy. I have chosen again To Link the Fire ending. After 139 deaths :D . 8 - September 3, 1:00 - After aproximately 197 hours, I have finished Platinum Trophy run of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on PS3. NG++ speed run for last trophy took me around 2,5 hours, because I have forgot to get Large Ember in the Depths. Silly me. 9 - October 25, 1:15 - Third and final playthrough of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory on PS3 is over. Almost 240 hours spent over 5 years, to get the Platinum Trophy and the True Ending. Little bit grindy, but the combat and story was still silly kind of 4th wall breaking fun, because I was not trying to speedrun the trophies. 10 - December 8, 20:00 - After 53,5 hours, I have finished another PC game from GOG: Battle Chasers: Nightwar. The final battle made me sweat, because I was not able to kill final boss at level 29. But after 15 minutes of grinding, and finding nice Attack Bonus Shrine, I have defeated him on the next try. I love the art style and really enjoyed playing it, so I hope the developers will make next game soon, which will continue with the story.

Played more Assetto Corsa today. And I have finally finished the H1 Hypercars career. The biggest challenge for a noob like me was Pagani Huayra on Monza. I spent about 2 hours to master that car so I could win the Medium AI Quick Race. For the sheer comedy factor, I am putting here my stream of last hour of my "driving". Best watched to, while listening to Benny Hill theme https://www.twitch.tv/videos/356318614 If you want to skip all the laming, and see the final golden race, just skip to 47:30

Thank you sir, it is very much appreciated

Looks like the developer knows how to bring immersion to its audience through physics engine.
