  1. Wonder if they'll do something like the Dragon Age Keep for Inquisition. That's probably the best option.
  2. Yes, what the hell? Aloth just tells you his entire life story within moments of meeting. A slight change could have made it much better, he should have invited you in the pub for a drink after saving his arse. Then after having a few beers he divulges his life story and you decide to travel together. But instead you're just stood on the side of a street and within a few seconds he follows you for eternity.
  3. Same. You join up with them whilst working on the same quest but when that's done they leave to carry on with their lives rather than immediately dropping everything to join you. I understand why this wouldn't be popular in this sort of game, but I'd quite like it. Dragon Age 2 did something like that. Your companions were scattered here amd there in the city and, when not adventureing with you, they did their own things, some of them would interfere with the main story, some would be quests for you to help them if you'd wish and other would resolve to a relaxing conversation and asking your oppinion about how to handle or how do you think they handled their personal problem. Ithink it was the only good thing in DA2 Now this (Wormerine's) is a new idea, a very interesting one, imo, but it might be better for a more single-person oriented rpg, were your would not need to plan a party composition in order to play through. I actually think Dragon Age 2 is a good game, sarcastic Hawke is so awesome that it doesn't matter it's all set in about 3 locations. The companion stuff in DA2 is pretty good, just hanging about the pub and trying to get Aveline on a date.
  4. Your poll is biased towards your own agenda. ''another boring human'' Why are humans boring? I hate that stupid non argument 'Why would you play as a human you are one in real life?'.
  5. Have you nothing else to do in your life? Go do something productive.
  6. Yeah that's a good point. People on here like to get a bit too excited, hoping for the greatest game that ever was and all that.
  7. Let's all hope Ydwin's story ends with her gory demise.
  8. I hoped the Stronghold in the first game was more like Suikoden. But it pretty much would have had to be the main part of the game. I'm not too bothered about non linearity, having a more focused story is usually more interesting to me. Baldur's Gate 2 was probably too open at the start, could have done with gating some stuff off I reckon.
  9. I'd like a conquistador style helmet. A Morion? Did they have them in the first game I forget.
  10. Since companies don't provide us with free demos these days, a few watches of different "let's play" youtube videos are highly recommended before any buy, imo. Personally, after withstanding the camera of NW2, the worst camera ever, imo, and that of DA:I, I had no problem with DOS2's camera, which I don't find any bad at all actually. OK good point, NWN 2's camera is horrendous. How did they release the final game in that state?! And it's never been fixed! I shall attempt to try it again, maybe it just requires some getting used to.
  11. Whenever I tanked I always had to have my helmet on, when arms or fury helmet was off but cloak on!
  12. I bought Divinity Original Sin 2 after some of the glowing comments by people on here. The camera annoyed me so much that I stopped playing after 45 minutes and have had no desire to put it back on!
  13. Why, though? Pillars is niche. It's a game with a comparatively narrow appeal and doesn't really hide it. Why do we need to keep pointing it out at any opportunity? It is what it is! It's own special creation.
  14. I never want to see the word niche again. Everyone is obsessed with it on here.
  15. Game changer? Come on mate get a grip. Some of you lot get a bit too carried away.
  16. Yeah I kind of prefer being a regular adventurer in games, instead of a chosen one/king/commander of an army/etc. In NWN you're just a guy, apparently someone who was talented but just a guy.
  17. Already have this topic... I've been replaying again recently and I do agree that the pages of text describing things get's old really fast. A portrait should be enough to describe what someone looks like, I believe they are giving all NPC's portraits in Deadfire so this should be rectified? Or the way that character actually acts and talks should be enough. I don't remember this amount of descriptive text in Baldur's Gate. LESS IS MORE!
  18. Does seem a bit of a missed opportunity.
  19. Maybe so, as long as you explain what more hardcore means. I am! *can No, I mean I am explaining, right there at my post Hardcore - broken bricks, rubble, or similar solid material used as a filling or foundation in building.
  20. Never used a pet once in the game. Fair enough for those who like that kind of thing but it just feels like WoW or something, are they going to add pet battles in Eternity 3?
  21. Having a game is only there to justify not doing more productive things.
  22. You've pushed me one step closer to purchasing it! I haven't played the first but this looks pretty good, not sure if it's worth waiting a few weeks for the obligatory patch.
