  1. Whenever I tanked I always had to have my helmet on, when arms or fury helmet was off but cloak on!
  2. I bought Divinity Original Sin 2 after some of the glowing comments by people on here. The camera annoyed me so much that I stopped playing after 45 minutes and have had no desire to put it back on!
  3. Why, though? Pillars is niche. It's a game with a comparatively narrow appeal and doesn't really hide it. Why do we need to keep pointing it out at any opportunity? It is what it is! It's own special creation.
  4. I never want to see the word niche again. Everyone is obsessed with it on here.
  5. Game changer? Come on mate get a grip. Some of you lot get a bit too carried away.
  6. Yeah I kind of prefer being a regular adventurer in games, instead of a chosen one/king/commander of an army/etc. In NWN you're just a guy, apparently someone who was talented but just a guy.
  7. Already have this topic... I've been replaying again recently and I do agree that the pages of text describing things get's old really fast. A portrait should be enough to describe what someone looks like, I believe they are giving all NPC's portraits in Deadfire so this should be rectified? Or the way that character actually acts and talks should be enough. I don't remember this amount of descriptive text in Baldur's Gate. LESS IS MORE!
  8. Does seem a bit of a missed opportunity.
  9. Maybe so, as long as you explain what more hardcore means. I am! *can No, I mean I am explaining, right there at my post Hardcore - broken bricks, rubble, or similar solid material used as a filling or foundation in building.
  10. Never used a pet once in the game. Fair enough for those who like that kind of thing but it just feels like WoW or something, are they going to add pet battles in Eternity 3?
  11. Having a game is only there to justify not doing more productive things.
  12. You've pushed me one step closer to purchasing it! I haven't played the first but this looks pretty good, not sure if it's worth waiting a few weeks for the obligatory patch.
  13. I think the weakest part of the game is all the soul reincarnation malarkey.
  14. If big head mode is in, this should be. I imagine less people will have used big head mode. What absolutele nonsense including that bollocks.
  15. In my playthrough Ydwin and Bonteru will assasinate Tekehu. How do you like them apples? I don't like that sound of them apples..... what am I gonna do?!
  16. I'm going to murder this character as soon as I meet her now. SEE HOW YOU ALL LIKE THAT! BAHAHAHA!
  17. Tbh we know her backstory which is very interesting but the sad truth is that most people went ape**** about her for fapping reasons Okay let's take a moment to be fair and insert some perspective. People were excited for a number of reasons. Her design, regardless of however many people will swear up and own it is "anime", is actually very good. Her background makes her out to be one of those potentially crazy Edwin type characters which was really absent in Eternity 1. Durance is really just a self absorbed ****, and Hiravias is just a horndog. Neither are really that slightly crazy, but definitely evil, mix. She is the only pale elf team member of any variety, and lots of people like pale elves. No, mercs you hire at the inn don't count. She is the only person who can be a rogue at level one other than Eder. Unlike Eder, it actually makes sense for her to have rogue levels. This is potentially the biggest reason for those of us who care about the lore of the game, she is the only party member option from either game that is actually an Animancer. A profession you REALLY should have had represented in Eternity 1's party, since most of your team didn't care, or was against it. In fact, was anyone other than Pallegina pro animancy? Yes, promancers wanted a female elf option. Get over it So yeah, there are some good reasons people liked her as a character and wanted her to be more than a sidekick. 1-5 points were the things that made me think she is the most interesting among the sidekicks (or even the new companions) but I didn't go crazy about her. It's just basic info. None went crazy about any other sidekick And let's be honest, most of the comments had to do with her looks mate So basically... most of the backers are horny teenagers.
  18. What does anyone even know about this Ydwin other than one picture? Why do you care so much?
  19. Yes, there were too many American voices in Pillars. I think maybe every voice was American? It's kind of off putting in this kind of setting. I know it's a bit of a cliché now having everyone sound English but it suits it.
  20. Who? Dunno if you're joking but... Voice of Gorion and Minsc, amongst many other various. Also Winnie the Pooh, Pete from different Mickey Mouse/Goofy shows and that. Voice acting legend.
  21. The lack of Jim Cummings, Cam Clarke and Jason Marsden really made this feel like a Kickstarter game. Obsidian please try get Jim Cummings to do some VO!!!
  22. I believe the same thing happens in Shadowrun Returns/Dragonfall/etc. That's a pretty good way to do it I reckon.
  23. Aye, sometimes I'm really in the mood for sci fi, sometimes fantasy. Actually really getting into Persona 5 right now, nice change of style.
