  1. Resting should only be allowed in certain areas and there should be a finite amount of uses of some kind of 'injury kit' per rest. Basically like Dark souls with bonfires and estus.
  2. Wow, someone on this forum actually put 'git gud'. Yeah obsidian probably shouldn't take any notice of this place.
  3. Maybe if there was some kind of partial injuries, basically make it work identically to the split health of the first game but represented via injuries since apparently so many people couldn't understand it in the first time.
  4. Maybe give it a few days, let it digest and that. The new systems may grow on you.
  5. 'It's personal preference what you prefer.' WELL SAID GOOD SIR!
  6. This is embarrassing, can't you do this privately? There is a private message function I believe...
  7. To quote a message from one of the developers in the Linux topic.... ' Hey (you bunch of forgiving gamers) We currently have no plans on releasing the Backer Beta outside of PC (Steam, and GoG). The final release of PoE 2 will be supported on PC, Linux, and Mac. Sorry to all Mac & Linux users - SKing [EDIT] If you backed expecting there to be, we apologize this wasn't more clear. You can definitely hit up (Obsidian Support) and you can receive a refund in regards to this.'
  8. Hmmm... after reading all these comments my interest in the game has plummeted. Question: IS THERE A WALK TOGGLE?!
  9. It's an unfortunate reality of the world.
  10. I was excited for this in WoW, but I kind of wish they never put it in. It gets rid of the uniqueness of items when you can just make them look like anything. I think that the look of the item another part of deciding whether to use it on top of stats and that. Eh, I'm probably alone on this. So I hope they don't, I know it's my choice to use it or not but it still feels like things are devalued. Maybe if there's one rare consumable in the game or something which allows you to do it.
  11. I second sallets, basically all kinds of historical helmets should be included. Some of the helmets were pretty damn ugly in the first game. Helmets are awesome. I love a good helmet!
  12. Anyway back on topic, this is about HELMETS. Bascinets, we need bascinets.
  13. Lindybeige does a good video on the subject of staffs as weapons. Watch it if you care, don't watch it if you don't! Those are your options.
  14. Interesting read. Most of it was obvious. I thought there would be a higher turn out from UK/Europeans, maybe we didn't get the memo. Yeah I was surprised at the low turnout especially for the UK (since we share English as our primary language). I'm wondering if information about this kind of thing going on is not passed on as well here or if Europeans are less likely to bother with surveys? I know quite a few people who have played Obsidian games, not one of them seemed to be aware of the survey and didn't mention it if they did know about it. Might bring it up sometime with them to see, or maybe I might just not bother. I think we are just too apathetic.
  15. No. I kind of like the more down to earth rods instead of over the top silly WoW-esque staffs.

  17. Before reading on this forum I had 0 interest in this Ydwin character. Now I want to murder her as soon as I meet her in game. Discussions are helpful and productive!
  18. Am I the only one who think BG2 was nothing special? I like PoE more than BG2. Heck, i liked BG1 and IWD1 more than BG2 Then you are truly lost!
  19. OK PoE isn't anywhere near the level of BG2. Superficially maybe.
  20. Yes, Dragonfall was better then PoE. In fact the writing was on a much higher level, I'm not sure Deadfire will even reach it.
  21. I do think having too much freedom/open world makes me lose interest. Replay-ability and open worlds seem to be all the rage. I don't like how linearity is pretty much always considered bad now, if a game is linear it can be much more focused if it's story heavy. I find it difficult to really get into the story of Skyrim. You're just left to get on and do whatever, which can be enjoyable in it's own way however I really have no interest in the story as it hold's little weight due to the open nature of the game.
