Possibly my ears tricked me, but it gladdened my heart to hear themes from shadows of Amn echoed in the PoE1 soundtrack: Thankyou!' This bothers me when I hear it actually, I get what they were trying to do but it just feels like a rip off. As it's a rip off of that piece of music.

In DnD the gods come and go and chop and change over time. Mortals have become gods, hell you can become a god at the end of BG2. Don't think it's too big of a deal, but apparently the intro of Deadfire has Eothas destroy your keep and take your soul or something? That's more of a reason not to worship him anymore, after how much money you put into that keep and he goes and nackers it!

BG1 and 2 at least had companions paths! Don't remember their names, but if you had some evil chars, they would fight the order-good ones or leave your team for good. That was also cool. Yeah I like some little choices which seem kind of... organic? Dunno if that's the right word. Where you're not thinking of the gameplay outcome of the choice, you just do what feels natural at the time because you're probably not even aware there's an implication of the choice... or something.

Multiple paths and choices are overrated. How much choice did BG1/2 have really? Not that much, and they were awesome.

The music that plays in the Iron Flail compound is pretty awesome. Sounds like ****s about to hit the fan at any minute.

Saying 'One of the best/highest/etc' is such a vague comment it doesn't actually mean anything. And who gives a **** what metacritic says? My favourite game might be your pile of fecal matter. And vice versa.
