  1. I have had incident #1 recently - I just kept moving on, thought I did receive something but it just wasn't going to show until I needed it lol.
  2. Yes! Super excited about the update - just in time to finally finish my entire playthrough (no more starting over!!). So what does "is being reworked" does that mean in a future patch??: Path of the Damned Endgame TuningPath of the Damned is being reworked to give a better experience for mid and higher level end game content. Can you survive the increased difficulty with your party?
  3. Hey! Not the best but gave it a shot, still working on my versions - someone else maybe can knock them out if you don't like.. no judgement
  4. Interesting I felt the same thing about the 1st Pillars - they abandoned puzzles, riddles and hunting for more in-depth narrative, which at first was strange but in the end I super enjoyed the game more than any other RPG out recently (i haven't played all of them by a long shot). I can't say 100 percent for sure and it could be just because of my commitment to POE2, but I am enjoying it more than the first and it goes even another step towards making the game simple. My best guess it that it is most likely for younger people playing for the first time which is awesome Not sure how the game rating and nudity plays into that ...
  5. Thank you I tried searching for it in the forum but couldn't find the previous one Should have searched campfire ... I will add I have only experienced the lack of interaction with Maia, Tekehu, Pallegina and Eder in the party - my normal composition where I do experience the spirit dialogue it is with Aloth, Xoti, Eder and either Serefan or a custom Paladin. My guess is that it is either because of Tekehu or Maia?? Worth it to check out maybe. AH
  6. I just played some of Poko Kohara on PoTD since they reworked it months back, I was level 10 going in and they did a great job on the combat encounters! Enjoyed it a lot. (yes this post is coming very late ...)
  7. Honest, what is with all the California comments? I mean if you said the US I would get it, but serious I wish people would be critical of the really horrible things of CA ... like McDonald's or Taco Bell ... Or building cities in the middle of the desert and sucking water from the Colorado river ... I mean honest
  8. Hey experiencing a bug for the first time in the Storms of Poko Kohara / Terns of the Trade quest. Upon finding the Vailian Trading Company abandoned camp, I go up to interact with the spirit campfire that normally leads to a cut scene where you see the spirits of the expedition have a quick dialogue, except there is no spirit dialogue. Not sure why not Not game breaking but thought I would post - here is a save game. https://drive.google.com/open?id=14J6tp-4z5OjkQOaxEt5yYK04ZxCGvXWf
  9. Sorry was being a little sarcastic - I meant the game is great fun, but I don't like how the characters can basically fly. And I only meant it was clever because
  10. Actually I noticed there is few items that don't show on the summary for "current effects" but I think I am still receiving the benefits - so maybe they aren't supposed to show?? EDIT: Just one to confirm I tested the Boots of Stone and yes the resistance from Firm Foundation is working - it just doesn't show up under current effects. Am okay with that but would be nice if it did
  11. Yeah I found if you play Deadfire like a traditional RPG where you go do everything right away to figure out what to do next, you end up running around as a messenger for the first half the game - it is a game that definitely plays better following the loose narrative and picking up side quests along the way from one place to the next.
  12. I still can't get over how all your characters can fly around, I mean game is great fun. Best part in DOS2 is how they dealt with sleeping - or lack of sleeping I should say - kind of clever.
  13. I second this I hope they all make off like bandits, more likely then they will come back after any non-compete clause ends The risks are substantial. Obsidian have had a few close calls in the past and being based in Southern California drives up their costs significantly. Huh? That's like an anti-California talking point straight from the Libertarian playbook ... It's not like they are based in downtown Hollywood - I mean Irvine is kind of like ... well anyway its nice down there lol ...
  14. Hmm interesting, unfortunately I first noticed on the streets of Neketaka
  15. Hey! Have Boots of the Stone equipped but it isn't showing Firm Foundation resistance on the Character summary sheet? I will investigate more as it could be conflicting with an Eder attribute (but I don't think it is), but wanted to put it out there - I still could also be gaining the benefit which I will check too - sorry for the poor post, but either way it isn't showing on the summary for Current Effects. Here is a save: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BE7Z3whH9RxetBP-l_k290oo7KkX1eUd And here are two screenshots.
  16. I am experiencing this too, have been for awhile
  17. I have been playing PoTD with an experience reduction mod (25 percent) and it set to only scale upward, and it is keeping the game interesting so far - at about level 8 and just finished Hosango - off to Tikawara next and then beyond. So far the battles have been really good - just playing with the NPC companions no custom characters, curious to see what happens when I hit the later levels, and where it is when I hit them I also can't vouch but hear the expansions are really good, and the mega bosses are tough; and I played briefly the challenges and they add some more difficulty in various trade-offs. (If it does pan out that the later game with the mods tend to get easy, I might also add the Deadly Deadfire mod later, I am hoping Obsidian does another pass on difficulty in PoTD - which would be really amazing!!! ... ) EDIT - I don't min-max or read the forums on power builds etc ...
  18. get a torch or use the starting saber torch and keep it on a melee character, try fighting only during daytime, or use a stealthy scouting party member. Doesn't solve the "problem", when trying to do a ranged solo play. You can't hold a torch (or light source) and use most ranged weapons. (pistols excluded) What I need is a mod with a bow / crossbow / arbalest with a light source attached. LOL The trick is that summoned weapons often provide some extra light, and also don't need to be repaired - they start to hold a lot more value in Skaen's and Abydon's. Is there still the bow summon for Wizards - the Blackbow?? High level spell and not sure it glows ... I thought about the cost as it is crazy expensive, but I think the challenge is to keep you from using your best weapons and also to suffer in combat with broken weapons/armor - so let's not be too hasty in taking them away ... though I think your idea could work - especially if they kept repairing weapons to merchants in towns, and added the reduced the price; and make them available later ... might be too much in terms of changes to game mechanics though so I might be dreaming.
  19. I am not having the issue with the open world vs narrative contradiction - while not perfect each and every step so far is pretty logical in the narrative and even exploring - can't say the same as for the amount of time that passes though!!!! - but Eothas challenge fixed this ... The same can even be said for POE1, BG2, BG1, IE1, etc ad infinitum, DOS1/2, FF, DQ, Ultima open or semi-open world RPG - time seems to pass - months, years, days, lol there literally is no solution for this accept for what I have read PF:K did - put a timer on quests, which is a good solution and would force Deadfire to address this in the narrative, which in terms of the Eothas challenge, well its a race against the clock ... Honest, you just cannot argue that CRPG games do not suffer from this, and if you get into the realm of one over the other well if you ask me BG2 is the worst (just to make the die hard BG2 fans go into death threat mode) ... jk!!! I usually just ignore it, get to a point in the narrative where it seems like I can explore and go for it - Deadfire gives you this chance. I mean it is one of those things that goes along the lines of the ability to wipeout every NPC in the game, sometimes you just do it because you can EDIT: However this being said there are many motivations for letting time pass that make sense in the narrative, and time and again I am happy and surprised by the writing that lends to this,
  20. I have noticed some of the guards do, just not sure which ones and how many.
  21. Wait there is a walk pace button ... it is in the game options. Horses would be cool - like as a companion ...
  22. Okay!!! So I played the last fight in the Oathbinders Sactum ... it was a lot easier with the mod, so I think on early levels it is just making the game a little easier. Can't say anything for later levels I am guessing that 7 levels of penetration is too many, maybe keep to 4 or 5 - need to find a middle ground. When I get over level 12 on this game will test it again on some battles ... I will say that with the experience reduction mod set to 25 percent less on PoTD - I have been having a great time - at level 8 right now
  23. @Hayte you are officially my favorite person for today !!!
  24. So ... A Bigger Fish I am fighting to clean out the Raitai sailors - Shrimp and his crew - but annoying there is an invisible Royal Weathermage in the corner - he/she will take AOE damage but is non-targetable. Just wondering if feature or bug. I can send a save if necessary.
