Good to know thank you, I haven't been able to recreate and it has been working good the last few days. -
[3.0] Game crash on reload
bringingyouthefuture replied to bringingyouthefuture's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
Just wanted to update - the crash happened again, it happened after I was defeated and tried to load a save before the game screen reset, and took a screenshot of the error, will test to see if I can recreate. -
Hmm, am not into fancy gear - DOS2 is too dependent on gear - perfect example, use one of the numerous holes in selling items to vendors for unlimited cash and the game becomes a cake walk - I mean interesting how they used gear to balance the game but becomes easy to break the balance. I would argue that DOS2 unique skills lend to fun playing, but not sure it is as interesting as POE.

v3.0.0 is now available on the Beta Branch
bringingyouthefuture replied to Cdiaz's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
Is it a bug that I started all the challenges (minus Magrans') last night and expert mode wasn't enabled, I had to turn it off the tutorials were driving me crazy ... if its not a bug you can play them without expert enabled -
So in regards to Berath's Challenge - or this may be in the base game too, and again not game breaking, but I was playing a Ghost Heart ranger, and everytime my Ghost Animal companion died from an enemy attack I got the message in bold type and large across the bottom of the screen "So-and-So Has Died" (not the exact words). Since it is a ghost and the animal is dead, it can't die again - just for the record ... !! Oh and I will now make it official - you should only be able to repair and enchant weapons at a vendor!! I officially request that you make the enchanting menu a store option ... it would make it soo much cooler to play Abyndon's challenge. Otherwise liking the changes - only played the sea cave so far with Galawain's, and not noticing much of a difference in difficulty so far, but that could change as I go through the game. Definitely making it a different kind of fun.

Second time this has ever happened, game crashed on reload, I was in the sea cave area after starting the game at Vilario's Rest. Was reloading a bunch. Windows gave me a Visual C++ error message. Didn't have a crash folder but included a Save Game and Output log. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1gEdGSbqnUbGRbaYsZYZNZ53cztVuKGNO Let me know if I can provide any other information.

Ship combat is awesome and so is the VO - the problems are minor and the game breaking ones are often fixed rather quickly (in most cases) - funny though I started reading the forums for POE2 awhile back and got the sense that the game really wouldn't be finished until after all the DLC's came out - but I can see if you didn't get that sense from the plethora of comments about how Obsidian often updates and tweaks the game someone would get frustrated. My problem is I really like Obsidian games over all others too so I don't really have a choice. I played POE1 first time years after its release, and the experience was seamless from start to finish, so I am guessing that after all is said and done, so will this game. Ugh!! Off-topic ... my best bet is the DLC and update get slightly delayed but in the meantime they do a 2.1.1 - I will put 5 dollars on it ...

This has been a hard to reproduce bug for me, but often my party will hit a section of the game while sneaking, usually with overlapping visual layers, and will disappear completely. [Kind of like Serafan struck with his Wild Mind, but it doesn't last once I moved away from the area which was causing me to disappear] Once was in the Treasure Trove in Dunnage - I was sneaking to steal a chest and passed in front of two red cones that marked an NPC area of sight, and also passed behind a table and then I disappeared. Another time while sneaking in upstairs in the Wild Mare - I passed slightly behind I forget what a statue, column?? But disappeared again. Anyway - both saves didn't reproduce so not sure I can recreate. Not game breaking at all, but curious if anyone else has experienced.

We should get the code change as a mod - say with instructions where to place the file and make it downloadable ... that might make it super cool!! I could probably do it myself, but I am ... well ... um! lol a little nervous about posting a mod on Nexus mods (never done it before). There isn't one right?? Haven't checked in a few days.

What!!! Don't you dare take Eder away - then I won't be able to have him killed saving my Watcher from Xaurips ... serious though I disagree with this post 100 lol. The more I play the game the more I enjoy it - that can rarely be said about an RPG / video game - and a lot of that is due to the writing and characters, combat and nuance (and the God's challenges). If anything I hope Obsidian keeps pushing the envelope and trying new things - if they don't do that they won't exist!

I remember when first reading about the game, I swear it mentioned the game would start at Defiance Bay and you would have to secure your own boat etc to sail off after Eothas - I thought that would be really cool, and think that is a good way to start a sequel - it would have been fun to cruise around Dyrwood a little.

No modded game data files will be loaded, so you won't be able to change what icons or model visual data the armor is pointing to (well, the change won't be loaded in Magran's Fires). However, you could find the names of the icons that the Reckless Brigandine is pointing to and override those icons in a custom atlas as described in this tutorial. You could override them with any image you like, including the images from the normal Brigandine. daarik.png Ty! Ty! Ty! something to do over the weekend

Hey! Sorry, very new to the mod world - question for anyone who can answer, does this: "Mod data that doesn't affect gameplay (atlases, portraits, strings, images) will be loaded when playing God Challenges" Mean I can change the Reckless Brigandine thumbnails and animation to look like a regular Brigandine? I like the armor but not so into the Huana Brigandine look, and have modded it to look like the regular Brigandine. Want to do the God challenges and would love it to work. Any help greatly appreciated!!

I could really get behind afflictions being subtractive rather than just having them removed!! That sounds like a great mechanic. I like the idea of enemies resistant to certain attacks (wait isn't it like this anyway??), but totally immune except to one type of damage - seems like too much - I could get behind having it limited two a handful, but only one seems like it makes it harder for little return - I mean I really hated BG2 and having to cast multiple remove magic spells in encounters in the expansions, it became the default for fights often - that being said if the game included this type of encounter in a limited form I think I could get behind it!! More crafted encounters!!! I mean I have said this before - bring back the Sandblights that wiped people out in the backer beta. That way we can talk about the game being too difficult.

Hehe ... Magran's - I don't use the AI at all, so am interested in this challenge as it is opening up my horizons, look forward to playing Berath's - sounds like after reading this forum it is the most challenging for people (meaning good job), and now am interested in playing it - I like the idea of having to embargo players to keep other players alive, and the need to keep the Watcher alive - great job for thinking outside the box. Skaen's - this one I like because it makes the game more realistic, again sounds like a lot of fun Abydon's - peaked my interest the most, again hits on something more realistic, though repairing weapons should have to be done at a smithy, either way I am carrying an axe for barrels I really like the idea of limiting the affect of consumables, limiting empower, somewhat open to the idea of per rest spells, having wounds last a set amount of time say 3 - 5 days versus resetting them on rest, the idea of no resting seems pretty good, constant fog while sailing (though still have access to maps). Of course always interested in harder encounters too! Edit: Ondra - aggressive factions ships with beefed up crews that are out to burn your ship on the open seas!!!
