  1. Hey everyone! We ended up taking the forums down for part of the day today to begin the upgrading process. As you can see, we brought them back up for now while we finish the upgrade later tomorrow to make the final push and get it all live. We expect the forums to go down again for maintenance tomorrow(April 24th) at around 2AM PST. The forums will be down for a good amount of the day, but we hope to have the upgrade finished by the end of the day for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for your patience and support, and we'll see you on the new and improved forums! Thanks again!
  2. Hey everyone! Just an update to let you know that the QA team was able to pin this down and the issue has gotten a fix for the next patch(coming soon). It is currently undergoing testing to make sure everything is the way it should be and that it doesn't break something else. Thanks again for all the help!
  3. Hey everyone, As an update to my investigation into this, I'm still having trouble reproducing these issues reported about afflictions. I've been testing weaknesses, strengths, suppress affliction, and pounding enemies and friendlies alike with multiple afflictions at once and haven't gotten these to reproduce on the Live build. I'm looking into having someone else in house take a shot at this to see what they come up with, but so far it's hard for me to tell if this is fixed in the next patch without being able to get it reproduced prior. It was mentioned to use Fugue Spores on the Giant Cave Grub, but that is an enemy ability, so I used Tenuous Grasp instead, the Confuse properly upgraded to Charm, and I got the boss on my side Another thing I want to be sure of while we continue to test this is that no one is using mods while testing this. If you have been having this issue and you can turn off any potential mods you may have and try again and let me know, that would be amazing. Thanks everyone!
  4. Hey everyone, Sorry for this graphical issue on your Mac versions of Deadfire and thank you for reporting this and supplying screenshots. We will take a look into this issue to see what we can come up with as a resolution. If you notice this in other areas, please continue to post about them here so I can look into those as well.   5. Hey Rockfish! I think this save is a bit earlier in the game as it has the Watcher, Eder, and Xoti in the Engwithan Digsite and Xoti doesn't have those spells yet. Thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble it has been causing your playthrough.
  6. Thank you everyone! Sorry for being so quiet, it's been very busy managing a bunch of things, but as this is a major issue we want to prioritize it. We think we this one should be resolved in a patch, but just want to be sure and without the ability to reproduce it I can't be as sure as I would like to If you happen upon any good saves or steps of reproduction, or if you have video of this occurring to display that, that would be amazing!   7. Hey everyone! We just wanted to let you know that we will soon be updating the Obsidian forums. The update will give the forums a fresh look and add some cool new features. Users will be able to more easily navigate the forums, customize their profiles with cover photos, and keep track of new leaderboards to see who is contributing the most liked content. We wanted to update things a bit while also not making a dramatic change, so the forums will have a sense of familiarity while also improving the overall navigation and aesthetic.   10. Hello MugBubule, I'm sorry you are getting these crashes. When the game crashes it should generate a folder labeled with the date and contain the crash.dmp, error.log, and the output_log.txt file. If you could get me the most recent folder with those files as well as a save file where this is occurring, I'd love to take a look and see what might be going on here and what we might be able to do to get you adventuring again.   12. Hello Ser Renely, Unfortunately we haven't been able to solve this issue yet. In the meantime I've been creating saves for users JUST after the axe hits the ground so that they can continue the combat without running into this.   13. Hello Andkyng, I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble getting Deadfire to launch. The most likely reason from what I've seen is a networking program called Citrix. Other users mentioned that their Citrix receivers had updated and prevented them from launching Unity based games from Steam. Upon either rolling back the update to the receivers or uninstalling the program altogether, they have all been able to play their games again. I'd suggest trying this, as it has helped everyone with this issue so far.   18. Hello Ontos, I'm sorry you are running into this back screen issue. I loaded up your save and tried transitioning to the World Map and it seemed to work out fine. I would recommend attempting a repair of the game files or reinstalling Deadfire to see if there are some corrupted or missing files causing this issue. If that doesn't work, then I would try updating your graphics drivers and your computer's operating system. I updated the save where I was on the World Map after clicking the button from the deck of your ship in case you wanted it. I'll leave my Google Drive link here.   20. Hello DJzolla, I'm sorry you are having issues with the leveling system. Usually there would be a + symbol on the character portrait that you can click on to level your characters. You don't happen to be using any mods that may be affecting the game as well would you? If so, I'd try turning them off and seeing if that helps fix it. I'm sorry if you've been running into a bunch of bugs during your playthrough. It is not our intent to have the community find bugs for us, but we do greatly appreciate all the help everyone has done to help make Deadfire better than it would have been without all the reports and feedback. Deadfire is a pretty large game with so many things that change depending on how people play or what choices they make that every extra bit of help makes a huge difference.
