  1. Hello MzR360, I'm sorry you are getting this transitional crash on your Ship. Would you be able to send me a copy of the affected save file and the crash files that should have been created from the crash to support@obsidian.net? I'd like to take a look and see about getting you back on track here. If needed, you can find instructions on where the files are located here. Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing your playthrough.
  2. Hey Zepelo, I'm sorry you've run into this issue on Port Maje island. I haven't seen this one before either. I would first try to play without the mods to see if it works. Mods can make the strangest unrelated things occur so it's worth a look see. If that doesn't fix it, would you be able to send me a copy of your save file where this is occurring to support@obsidian.net along with a link to this thread as a reference. If needed, you can find instructions on where the saves are located here. Thanks Zepelo, and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
  3. Hello Axiomaticon, I'm sorry you are having these issues with lockpicking in your playthrough. Would you be able to send me the save file that is having this issue to support@obsidian.net along with a link to this thread as a reference. Once I have that, I'll take a look to see what's going on in your game and see how we might resolve this for you. Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing your playthrough.
  4. Hey everyone! As it's been a year since the release of Deadfire, we have come to the point of moving on to newer projects and ramped down the Deadfire staff as a result. We will no longer be fixing any issues we deem to be non-game breaking. At the moment, we are only aware of a few potential issues for some users that can prevent player progression and have come up with solutions to these issues. If we find that there are any progression breaking issues going forward that prevent gameplay, we will look into finding workarounds or potentially hot fixing them and adding those to this list. The following are the known issues and their workarounds. Players with general performance issues, freezes, or crashes, we have compiled a list of diagnostic steps that have worked to varying degrees for other users. You can find the list with some instructions listed below. Reduce graphics settings Restart game Delete or move excessive saves Disable Unity Console mod - if applicable Remove Unity Console mod - if applicable Verify Integrity of Game Files - Steam - GOG Reinstall Deadfire Change PhysX settings to GPU instead of Auto Install the Special K mod with recommended settings Update graphics drivers Update operating system Check for faulty RAM - Steps to do this can be found here Roll back graphics drivers Reinstall operating system Mac users who are having graphical issues where large sections of the map are white, it has been found that if you save the game and load the new save file, the map will go back to normal. Players have reported Nungata disappearing from Serpent's Crown and being unable to turn in quests. This is not a bug as she leaves the area during the quest The Final Maneuver and will return to her normal location when that quest is resolved. If you run into an issue different than the ones listed above that prevents you from being able to continue your adventure through the Deadfire, please feel free to let us know in an email and attach any screenshots, output_log.txt files, save files, and crash logs that may assist us in helping to resolve the issue. Should you need information on how to obtain those files, you can find instructions here. Please send these emails to support@obsidian.net and we will do what we can to get you back on track. We at Obsidian want to send our heartfelt thanks to this wonderful community for being so supportive of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire! We hope you will continue to enjoy Deadfire for many years to come and hope to see you in the next great Obsidian adventure!
  5. Unfortunately we were unable to get NVidia to provide us support for this issue. While trying to get that support, we worked with various users who had these graphical issues and collected a list of solutions that worked for them. If you are still having performance issues I highly recommend trying out the solutions listed above as they've helped a lot. I'll edit the post to have the list here instead of using a link to them.

  7. Hello PeterDarby! I believe the support team should be able to take care of that for you Could you relay that message to them by emailing support@obsidian.net along with your Account Name and 4-digit number or PlayFab ID(PFID#) which can be found at the bottom of the OPTIONS>SETTINGS menu? Once they get that information, they should be able to fix up the account or any other Pathfinder related issues you might have. Thank you for supporting Pathfinder Peter!
  8. Hello again everyone! We wanted to let you all know that we added a new Two-Factor Authentication feature for the Obsidian websites and forums. This is a recommended feature for those of you that want to have a more secure browsing experience when visiting any of the Obsidian sites. All you will need to do is enable this feature in your account settings and connect an authentication app. You can find instructions below to help explain what this process will look like. Go to https://forums.obsidian.net/settings/ and click Password located under Overview. Click Enable to set up the Two-Factor Authentication. Download an authentication app and connect your Obsidian account by scanning the provided QR code. Once you've done that, you should be all set and even more secure! If you run into any issues trying to set up your Two-Factor Authentication, please feel free to email us at support@obsidian.net. We hope you enjoy your browsing experience with this added security!
  9. Hey everyone! If you see this, then welcome to the new and improved Obsidian forums! We hope you all enjoy the new style and features that were added to this update. Should you happen to run into any issues, please let us know on this thread so we can get to fixing them. Thank you for your patience during the downtime and continue being incredible to each other!
  10. Hey everyone! We ended up taking the forums down for part of the day today to begin the upgrading process. As you can see, we brought them back up for now while we finish the upgrade later tomorrow to make the final push and get it all live. We expect the forums to go down again for maintenance tomorrow(April 24th) at around 2AM PST. The forums will be down for a good amount of the day, but we hope to have the upgrade finished by the end of the day for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for your patience and support, and we'll see you on the new and improved forums! Thanks again!
  11. Hey everyone! Just an update to let you know that the QA team was able to pin this down and the issue has gotten a fix for the next patch(coming soon). It is currently undergoing testing to make sure everything is the way it should be and that it doesn't break something else. Thanks again for all the help!
  12. Hey everyone, As an update to my investigation into this, I'm still having trouble reproducing these issues reported about afflictions. I've been testing weaknesses, strengths, suppress affliction, and pounding enemies and friendlies alike with multiple afflictions at once and haven't gotten these to reproduce on the Live build. I'm looking into having someone else in house take a shot at this to see what they come up with, but so far it's hard for me to tell if this is fixed in the next patch without being able to get it reproduced prior. It was mentioned to use Fugue Spores on the Giant Cave Grub, but that is an enemy ability, so I used Tenuous Grasp instead, the Confuse properly upgraded to Charm, and I got the boss on my side Another thing I want to be sure of while we continue to test this is that no one is using mods while testing this. If you have been having this issue and you can turn off any potential mods you may have and try again and let me know, that would be amazing. Thanks everyone!
  13. Hey everyone, Sorry for this graphical issue on your Mac versions of Deadfire and thank you for reporting this and supplying screenshots. We will take a look into this issue to see what we can come up with as a resolution. If you notice this in other areas, please continue to post about them here so I can look into those as well. Thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience this causing your playthroughs.
  14. Hey Rockfish! I think this save is a bit earlier in the game as it has the Watcher, Eder, and Xoti in the Engwithan Digsite and Xoti doesn't have those spells yet. Thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble it has been causing your playthrough.
  15. Thank you everyone! Sorry for being so quiet, it's been very busy managing a bunch of things, but as this is a major issue we want to prioritize it. We think we this one should be resolved in a patch, but just want to be sure and without the ability to reproduce it I can't be as sure as I would like to If you happen upon any good saves or steps of reproduction, or if you have video of this occurring to display that, that would be amazing! Thanks again for all the amazing help you all have been on Deadfire!
  16. Hey everyone! We just wanted to let you know that we will soon be updating the Obsidian forums. The update will give the forums a fresh look and add some cool new features. Users will be able to more easily navigate the forums, customize their profiles with cover photos, and keep track of new leaderboards to see who is contributing the most liked content. We wanted to update things a bit while also not making a dramatic change, so the forums will have a sense of familiarity while also improving the overall navigation and aesthetic. We expect to have the updated forums up in the next week or so and hope you enjoy the new Obsidian look! Check out some of the example photos below to see what some of the new changes will look like. Forum Main Forum Post Blogs Leaderboards User Profile We hope you enjoy the new look and wish everyone an amazing week!
  17. Hey Andkyng! I'm so glad everything is working well for you again If you run into any other troubles, please don't hesitate to reach out to us again. Thank you for your support of Deadfire!
  18. Hello tdz, I'm sorry you're stuck in the scene. If you could send me a copy of the save prior to the combat and one after combat, I'd love to take a look at it. If needed, you can find instructions on how to obtain those saves here. If you could send those to me at support@obsidian.net along with a link to this thread as a reference I would appreciate it. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience this has been causing.
  19. Hello MugBubule, I'm sorry you are getting these crashes. When the game crashes it should generate a folder labeled with the date and contain the crash.dmp, error.log, and the output_log.txt file. If you could get me the most recent folder with those files as well as a save file where this is occurring, I'd love to take a look and see what might be going on here and what we might be able to do to get you adventuring again. If needed, you can find information on how to obtain those files here. If you could send those to me at support@obsidian.net along with a link to this thread as a reference, that would be amazing. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
  20. Hello Wiklash, I'm sorry you are getting stuck during this scene. Would you be able to send me a copy of your save file so I can take a look and see what might be occurring and potentially get that straightened out for you? If needed, you can find instructions on how to obtain the save files here. If you could send that to me at support@obsidian.net along with a link to this thread as a reference, that would be great. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
  21. Hello Ser Renely, Unfortunately we haven't been able to solve this issue yet. In the meantime I've been creating saves for users JUST after the axe hits the ground so that they can continue the combat without running into this. Would you be able to send me your save file so I can get this set up for you? If needed, you can find instructions on where the saves are here. If you could send that to me at support@obsidian.net along with a link to this post as a reference, I'd be super appreciative. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
  22. Hello Andkyng, I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble getting Deadfire to launch. The most likely reason from what I've seen is a networking program called Citrix. Other users mentioned that their Citrix receivers had updated and prevented them from launching Unity based games from Steam. Upon either rolling back the update to the receivers or uninstalling the program altogether, they have all been able to play their games again. I'd suggest trying this, as it has helped everyone with this issue so far. I'll link a forum post about this below. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/108037-crash-directly-when-starting-the-game/?p=2133513 This should resolve the issue, but if it doesn't, please let me know so we can look further into your particular case. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience this has been causing.
  23. Hey Oter2k, If you send me your save file I can see if I can try to get that item in for you. If needed, you can find instructions on where the saves are located here. Just send that along with a link to this thread as a reference and I'll see what I can do Thanks!
  24. Hey everyone, Generally speaking there is usually something wrong with the game files where a repair, as suggested, or a reinstall can fix the issue. If you still continue to have the issue would you be able to send the save file to me at support@obsidian.net along with a link to this thread as a reference so I can take a look at it. If needed, you can find instructions on where the saves are located here. Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience this has been causing.
  25. Hey Feral, Just wanted to let you know, I got your email and sent the save over to one of the Area Designers to get the Journal sorted out. Just awaiting that fix and I'll send it on back Sorry for the wait and the inconvenience this progression blocker caused.
