If one of those completionists knockes on my door with all of them (including the Sawyer one) but without the KS, and didn't cheat... then we can talk. But since that will never happen, who cares. There are more than that one that prevent you from 100%ing. And we all know if you care that much you cheat anyway, since "e-peen justifies all" Me, I just stand at the sideline and laugh at you guys. Sure, I like going for achievements too, but I have barely any 100% games... it's just not worth going for those that are annoying, just those that add to your gameplay by trying something different. *shrug*

I always think of Rangers as ranged... dunno what a stupid system would make them melee dual-wield. If it's only D&D you probably should complain to them, not Obsidian. But otherwise let me know what other systems are oblivious to the role of a Ranger. Almost reminds me of how people think "Rogue" is a 'DPS class' due to modern RPG's handling them like that rather than proper freakin' rogues. Adjusting rogues everywhere to fit that definition would be foolishness at it's finest.

Of course DA:O was also a spiritual successor to BG, so asking this is the same as asking one to BG, or PoE. I guess it all goes down in the details, why did you like DA:O more? * Darkspawn A, B, C and D rather than the lush bestiary? * Game playing itself (funny people hated this about Dungeon Siege, but praise it to the heavens about Dragon Age. Silly gamers.) * Sex scenes? * Gay loving? * People who all fawn over you with 5 dialogues? * A horrible 3D engine with pretty much always *something* blocking your view? * MMO "heat" system where everyone naturally goes to the highly armored guy who screams 'attack me'... that's some good AI, right! All very natural? * Overpowered 'best of the game' items put in your inventory at the start. Cause that's not balance breaking at all! Anything else? Really? To me it looks vomiting ommoting ugly. I hated Oblivion, too dumb compared to Morrowind (haven't tried Skyrim yet). DA:O wasn't too bad, but nothing to write home about. And they ruined the sequels rather than building on what good they got. NWN? Heh... I also look for a little more in my RPG. It's sad that that forces me to go to Kickstarted RPG's however since the AAA+ RPG experience is rather hollow and bare. Hopefully they change, but I don't have much faith on that. Probably single-player since Bethesda engines handle team-based games extremely bad. Also Pillar's entire budget would probably be needed for Physics alone. I'm sure if they used the Gamebryo (still is in Skyrim, right?) the game would be a LOT less good. Maybe around the level of Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga. But not PoE good. Play a game called "Sacrifice" and get back to me how organising a RTS/RPG team in first person works. (spoilers: Poorly) Approximately 77000 people disagree with you... you know, the actual people that backed this Project? Also, PoE is beatiful compared to other RPG's around (Dragon Age ugh). That's the beauty of handpainted 2D verses usually rather bland looking 3D. Passed us by how exactly. Except that's what AAA+ companies want you to think so they can push lowest commoditor crap on you with excessive handholding, wouldn't want people to start thinking, listening or being creative. The best RPG's of 2014 and 2015 are old-school kickstarters. Make of that what you will... NWN(2) is very ugly, so is DA. That just leaves TES. But it's prettyness can't hide the blandness that is it's gameplay. Morrowind is by terms prettier than Oblivion, just because of it's artstyle being unique rather than generic. Wasn't too thrilled with The Witcher II either. What's the use of all that graphical power if it can only grant us the most bland of environments? Tiny bland environments. Yay graphics :/

Well, loaded save and then saved again to test 1.0.4, sadly it seemed only about 0.4MB was shaved on my savegame (still giving 7.2MB at the end) Checking the Summoned(clone)'s they shaved off about half (from 4400 to 2000), but 2000 is probably still too much. Probably best saving with a new game rather than using an older save?

I definitely deny such vague accusations. Balance, AI and Path Finding are by themselves meaningless terms. Balance especially. The balance of spread of rats could be wrong for all I know. You need to get more in depth since "IMPROVE GAMEPLAY" or "IMPROVE GRAPHICS" are definitely not terms that you should use to give your argument weight, it just makes people ignore you. Specify rather than generalise. For example I really hate how the enchantment system makes drops less interesting, since most are simply just pre-enchanted, nothing more, making finding new stuff rather unexiting since you can craft them yourself. I could simply have said "There's a problem with loot!" and I doubt anyone would have got my actual reason for such by that line. And yes, we've had a lot of people on the Alpha Protocol forums suggestions "fix bugs", "improve graphics", "fix the stealth system" which are really all useless feedback. Funnilly 90% of the times coming from someone who hasn't played the games but just read a review. It's why 3rd party responders on 'issues' really need to be ignored IMO. There are plenty of people who don't get something, then rant and others take that as fact (example: Shooting in Alpha Protocol). Sorry, but that's just the way I think about it, and as you can read I have my reasons for that. I read approximately 3000 posts on Steam about KOTOR2 crashing for everyone using Windows 7 64-bit. Guess what operating system I use. Guess how many changes I had to make to get KOTOR2 working 'out of the box'... I rest my case. D:OS is also getting a big balance patch, MMORPG's and RTS constantly gets balance patches. No, it's no indication that something is gravely at mistake, it's simply what happens after release and you let a million rabid players loose. Also many threads exist on D:OS forums about AI, path finding and balance. That's just the nature of the beast; being a RPG forum. I would be shocked if *none* of those threads existed. Players complain, you know. Want their favorite buffed, something they see as too powerful nerfed, sometimes want to force others to play as they play and no other. That's all in all a generic day on the PoE forums... Did you already read some of the doomthreads about 1.0.5 rebalancing? They're FUN! ("Balance should be altered by mods. The game is dead with these changes! Mark my words, 1.0.5 will kill PoE!") EDIT: I feel sorry for you. I really *really* do. Probably something like this Pretty, no? (No)

Ehm, yes it does? Imagine you wrote "Eothas is a poopy-head". Then voiced that. Then wanted later to change the character to actually like Eothas, the options are; 1) Delete the entire line. 2) Re-hire actor for a new line ($$$) 3) Rewrite the convo but leave the faulty VO (which is rightfully classified bug then). How, honestly, can you say without animations VO isn't limiting. It is, it *very* much is infact.

I read exactly what you stated... you didn't get to level 3, so barely got any impression on the game, then went to forums and took things that you could not *possibly* have confirmed as thruth's (no one's exeggerating on forums!!!) and now come to complain about issues you only know from 3rd parties. You know what that reminds me of? The many Alpha Protocol threads where people suggested 'improvements' or complained about it NOT EVEN HAVING PLAYED THE GAME.

Possible Bug in Sanitarium
Hassat Hunter replied to teh_elgee's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I've been able to get maximum disposition to Defiance Bay even after the massacre. And I'm only being a jerk to Luj1 since he's been a royal pain in the neck everywhere on this forum. If not I would've responded in a kinder way. -
Unnecessary features
Hassat Hunter replied to Awathorn's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Talking about time limits I recently started playing DX:HR again. Yeah, you guessed it. Also bad memories of Alpha Protocol and Deadfall Adventurer's where you get the choice between left and right. No clue what's main and not. And of course the path closes behind you *and* it auto-saves so you can't go back. Yeah, those were DEFINITELY the moments I loved the game most rather than cursing it and if it and wanting to punch whatever gameplay developer thought this was infact a *good idea*... -
Damn, and here I thought I could retro-actively bill tens of thousands of people and start swimming in cash, sending lawyers out to all those damn people that refuse to pay. My beautiful bubble... gone

Well, it's not their in the first place, but still triggers the auto-pause. But seems you simply didn't get that because no auto-pause for said event.

Features that were scrapped.
Hassat Hunter replied to Veynn's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
That's not crafting. Nope, it would be something better. I still scratch my head sometimes wondering why "we" dropped the excellent BG2 approach for the utter crap that's called crafting in modern RPG's (PoE included). -
Features that were scrapped.
Hassat Hunter replied to Veynn's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Sadly, they didn't scrap enough. If only crafting and enchanting didn't make the game. Instant 3x better. 4x maybe even... Okay, I dare say 5x! EDIT: Also, on durability... D:OS had it much more severe and punishing in the earliest beta's, getting gradually weaker per update till it's just an inconvience that could might aswell not exist in the game so pitiful it's role have become. Why? Because players (rightfully) hate it, and developers pick up on that. Getting a new good weapon isn't very helpful if a dozen hits later you need to switch to another, carrying 10 spare weapons around just to use when your original broke? Not good gameplay. You want them cause they differ in their properties, to match enemies strengths, not as upkeep for durability. -
Hey, we're on the OE-boards here... where looting more than 1 body at a time is something that needs to be sabled down with RIGHTEOUS POWER straight away. Since it was somehow bad. Me, 8m area loot and never looking back. Personally don't really see this patch being all too big as promised. Rather hate the 'reset teammate' option. If you want a blank slate we got adventurer's at every inn. Why need to make our teammates too? Isn't them beiing pre-made part of their charm? Deal with what you get rather than get whatever you want, no matter if it makes sense with the character? Don't really know items, spells and etcetra by name to comment on all balance changes. Bug fixes are good obviously, as always. Guess I just expected... more? Or am I being too harsh/unrealistic? Maybe PoE is so bugless that it needs such small patches and then call it big? If so, a lot of people on this forum are lying to me about bugginess...
