Torment: Tides of Numero Uno
There were three stretch goal companions that were scrapped, the second city hub was reduced and many of the elements were merged into another location (this doesn't bother me, personally, but it is worth noting), crafting was abandoned, and worst of all, no Italian localization. There was no communication of any of these changes and buyers (people who helped Kickstart it, really) didn't find out about them until someone data mined the beta.

Torment: Tides of Numero Uno
I'm of two minds about this game. On one hand, I really hope its good but on the other, I'm still upset about the lack of communication from the devs after making so many design changes compared to the stretch goals of the original Kickstarter.

The Kickstarter Thread
Looked interesting, even though I never understood the rules of American Football (or why it's even called football, but meh), then I noticed a controller is required. So much for that This particular genre let's you brake all the rules, so someone who doesn't know them might be pretty good at it, while football fanatics like me who try to play using existing rules as I know them, usually get their @$$es handed to them. I'm a hardened Madden player (not so much in the last decade) and I don't think I've ever won a game of Blitz.

Content Stretch Goals
the_dog_days replied to Mygaffer's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)This could lead to hilarious results given Josh Sawyer has basically confirmed your pets from POE will transfer over and the fact that I've got a petting zoo's worth of critters. They'd have any new map strip-mined within a few minutes.

Stretch goal discussion!
the_dog_days replied to TheisEjsing's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I've been very pleased with the stretch goals so far. Instead of promising a bunch of new in game assets, they've focused on allowing you to farther customizing your gaming experience.

Pledging on Fig
the_dog_days replied to pcdorney's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Obsidian is looking into way to use PayPal, but as of right now credit card is the only thing working. I do think that they will have something worked out before the end of the campaign, though, because there are a lot of people who are in the same position you are. I hope that helps.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
That's not borrowing, that's scratching off the barcode and reselling it. Sarcasm aside, I find it ominous that they would barrow from DBZ. Dragon Ball was always more of a fantasy than a sci-fi (Akria Toriyama retconned a lot of the world building to give a nod in the general direction of sci-fi-, but that's beside the point). Mass Effect 3 already leaned too heavily towards fantasy for my tastes and I don't see using DBZ as an inspiration as a move back towards a more sci-fi storytelling format.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Anybody else thinks the new aliens look like they were designed by Akira Toriyama? I mean, that guy's even got a power level scouter. I understand BoiWare has some new, young blood, but they should send out a memo to the art team not to ripoff too blatantly from DBZ.

Romance
the_dog_days replied to Skyleaf's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)That's because they are mini-games, complete with their own hidden stats. It makes me wonder if self-awareness on the part of CD Project Red led them to come up with the sex cards in TW1, because at least that mini-game was transparent. I'm pretty sure all the cringey wiafu Japanese dating sims are aware of this, too, which is why they are so blatantly horrible.

The Funny Things Thread
I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Thank you, old guy, doctor who owns the puzzle, show host who took the old guy around, physicist who couldn't answer the question, Ring Puzzle Association guy who fulfilled the old guy's his dying wish, and most importantly, the magician who tried to hoodwink us.

the_dog_days replied to Gairnulf's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I don't you can be of a relaxed and reasonable opinion on the Internet.
