Just finished reading the Beyonders by Brandon Mull. (Yes, it is YA, and no that doesn't bother me.) It's probably my favorite epic fantasy trilogy in the last decade. Very good stuff.

I've never played the gold box games so I started on Pool of Radiance yesterday. Aside from using the ten key to navigate up and down in the menus, the UI, while not pretty, is surprisingly easy to use.

As I understand it, reducing the size of development teams after a project launches is pretty standard. And I wouldn't expect BioWare to commit to a MEA sequel just yet anyway because in all likelihood, with all the other projects they having in the works, it would be another five years or longer before it came out.

Worst bug I had was during one leg of Jaal's quest where the game hard crashed to desktop and when I rebooted and reloaded I somehow loaded into an area that was created for a specific cut scene and wasn't meant to be playable or accessed by any other means besides activating the cut scene. I had to fast travel out and from then on the performance on my PC tanked.

Any time someone mentions goosing the first thing I think of is middle school. Back in middle school there was a pack of girls who went on about a six month kick where they would constantly try to surpise one another with goosing.

Japanese games do a better job with ending in general (and this is coming from a guy who doesn't typically like jrpgs). Sometimes they go a little over board with the act three lead up and they're infamous for 'shadow bosses', but on a case per case comparison they blow wrpgs out of the water for endings.

For ESO there's individual level scaling now. So if you're in a level 5 dungeon at level 15, for you all those enemies are effectively level 15.
