I'm in Gullet and a group of thugs approach me. We are starting a fight and those random NPCs dont even runaway and walk into my AoE. Seriously? And that caused me to kill them. So we have smart NPCs who light to walk into the middle of a fight and get themselves punched. What the heck? On a separate note on returning storm, spell and abilities effects. Compared to the sound and effects in first PoE, i don't heard the sound of a storm and also even any sound of thunder strike? What the heck? It doesn't sounds like thunder at all. Just what happened here? It's really disappointing as i'm big fan of returning storm.

Stuttering and low FPS especially in outdoors like Fort Deadlight, Queen's Berth, etc. Any chance in getting performance optimization or introduce more visual settings that we can remove AA, shaodws, etc.? Why so limited visual settings?

Prior to the release, it was not appropriate to comment on the party character change as many would say your opinion have no basis if you have not played it yourself. After playing the game now that it has released, i would say i'd still prefer 6 party character. I love the options for the formation, the added flexibility to add the 6th member (be it gameplay or for storywise). Now with 1 party member reduction and 3 returning characters: Pallegina, Aloth and Eder that i really want them to be in my party for every playthrough, the party composition really limited my flexibility. Another point i would like to make is the multiclassing. Multiclassing supposed to address the issue of having 1 lesser party character. But i felt the multiclassing in Deadifre is half-cook. It is not there. They have taken out the flexibility and the greatness of single player class we have in first POE into multiclass and subclassing it which greatly limited character development. 1 skill per level up for both classes really limit flexibility especially for casters. The other issue that i have more problems with is combat clarity. I came to understand the party reduction, the spell/talents and visual effects have to be GIMPED in favor of combat clarity. This greatly saddened me. It seems to be they have overdone it where these abilities have to be in short duration and in favor of clarity on screen. To me they have failed in this section greatly. I'm wondering why in MOBA games like DOTA we have 10 characters we dont have this combat clarity issue but we seems to have the need to gimp visual effects and even SOUND effects for a 5 party characters SINGLE PLAYER game and it's not done professionally. Of course this is just my opinion and i hope to see more improvements incoming over the course of the longevity of the game.

not only wizard. i feel it's almost all druid, cipher and priest. deadfire is supposingly to be the successor to pillars 1. i'm feeling that the game gimped at this moment with poor choices for each level up. multiclass supposingly should be more fun compared to singleclass options that was available in pillars 1. by going multiclassing/subclassing the choices are even more severely limited. it's such a shame. due to this, i'm feeling first pillars are more fun and more superior than deadfire.

props to those who like it. on the other hand.. i'm seeing myself running (with fast options) all the time. and the running is really awkward. much more awkward in deadfire (and even worst with a cat companion). i hope they can fix these bad animations. i purposely switched to a wolf instead of a cat seeing how bad it sprint

I cant find where is the dig site. And i can't leave the island. Spoken to the governor. How do i get to the digsite? -
First off, loving the game. It's beautiful. It looks totally like a new game. Really big improvements compared to the first PoE where i can't describe with words. Below are some of my gripes - No UI scaling. Everything looks big. It's good if you were to play it on TV. I'm playing with monitor. - Very few portraits. - Female body. I know what you did there Obsidian . Not that i care much but you pander. Elf is still short and no customization for height. - Not many godlikes variation and customization. Really - Awkward pet animation when running especially the big cat. It looks worst if you toggle Fast/Running. - Pet icon covers the main character portrait. Worst than first PoE. With 1 less party character, can't you make the pet icon on top like an ability? - Not sure if it's just me sound effects character mainly has some kind of effects (echo or something) - Anyway to toggle/disable the force center camera? - Now i've seen it with my own eyes, i don't like the water-colored portraits and widely used for all characters in dialogue. - They have the same animation as you walk in mud when you walk in water. I rather you dont be obstructed when walking in shallow waters. Just walk/run normally like in first PoE. Perhaps add some water splashes? - No options to choose pet colors or different variation? I want a white lion or a black panther. No such options? - UI aesthetically i prefer the first PoE. Looks far more beautiful. - I can't re-customized my character hair, head and skin color after game started. Why? - I missed the 6th character and nothing Josh can't do to change what i love. - Everytime you create a new character.. i hated the slow walk for you to reach the Pallid Knight. - Combat is so slow. And i play POTD and i kinda hated difficulty still based on ACC as the main factor. Let me explain a little. For melee characters 1.1s attack, 4s recovery? And you will MISS all the time early game if you play POTD. Combat is not fun when you miss all the time and you just wait there and die. - Ranger sharpshooter. The penalty is sooo steep (-10 DEF and +50% recovery correct me if im wrong). For like increase ACC and +2 PEN? What i'm pointing is the penalties outweighs the benefits. Which make the class underpowered. - I want a button to preview my skilltrees for my single/multiclass. I can only view it on level up? - Character creation, you need to undo (click previous) for so many times to change your gender/race,etc.? This looks like very bad UI desgin. - The walk on foot map to leave the island. I was stucked in Port Maje and couldn't progress! Until i notice what i need to do. Here's what i like: - If you have companion (ranger pet) there are slight mention of your pet. These are minor addition but it's brilliant! - Loving the Valian slang? Ado,Cue,Bazzo, etc. it's awesome! - Loving the living world. The world is so much alive. I'm loving it. - The VOs are top notch. Loving the fully spoken dialogues too. My hats off to you Critical Role. - Met the first companion priestess and i'm loving her already <3 - I like the health/endurance and per encounter design. - Loving the music, the ambience, the lighting, the visuals, the art. The game is almost a masterpiece! - Loving the stealth system, sleight of hand. My final verdict: 9/10. If all above being addressed, it will be 10/10. Still updating the list as i've played.

Scavanger Hunt GOG
Archaven replied to Lord_Mord's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
All they said is they are "working on a solution". I imagine what will eventually happen is they will just wait a month or so (maybe less) then make those items a free dlc. Yeap but no following update after that sounds really moot. -
now the game has released. any news for gog players or i'm missing something?

gamespot giving an 8.. that's really an average score for me. shame on them. but again i dont really trust these reviewers. if i'm good at writing i probably few hundred times better than the reviewers do with their job. most reviewers i see is that they play the game for the sake of just reviewing the game. they don't even have passion for games they reviewed for and hence giving a low score.
