How Soul Annihilation’s Damage is Actually Calculated
Try Wizard/Soulblade with Citzal's Spirit Lance. One attack = full focus, Soul Annihilation with the lance (raw damage in an AoE with weird numbers) is still superpowerful.

Dual Great Sword wielding - yay!
Yeah, Druid + great sword isn't a dream team unfortunately.

The Obsidian Boards' Build List - Last modified: 22-October-2018
The patch version is listed with every build. If you seek only builds with a certain patch, e.g. 1.2, then you can simply hit ctrl+f to open the browser's site-search and type "Game Version: 1.2" into the search field. You can then jump through every build for patch 1.2. Same with builds for companions (search "Pallegina for example"). Or solo builds (search "Solo: Yes"). It's quite simple and effective. I will not put the builds in chronological order - because this order may change often: as soon as somebody updates his/her build. That would mean I would have to go and check all builds all the time (or receive messages about that) and then I'd have to manually re-order them accordingly. Please understand that I don't want to do that. Unfortunately I can't use Javascript and HTML in my posts. Then I could provide a sortable list. But as it is I can only use the static bbcode that the forum allows.

numbers under spells
You can check your action speed bonus when right-clicking on your weapons or spells and hover over attack/cast time and recovery time. Usually it's also displayed under "current effects" on the char sheet (press C).

Buying Rust's Poignard
When he escapes you simply go to the entrance of the narrows (south east). There you will see him entering the caves. You can follow him into a secret cavern and end the fight there. You don't have to kill him in the first fight and prevent his escape. I think that's nigh impossible with a low level party.

Buying Rust's Poignard
Ha - I didn't even know you can get it peacefully. Always attacked him on sight in the last couple of playthroughs (attempts).

What Weapons Have Elemental Damage Types? (Like Lord Darryn's Voulge)
Caedebald's Blackbow: corrode Concelhaut's Draining Touch: corrode Firebrand: burn Kalakoth's Minor Blights: burn, freeze, shock, corrode Eccea's Arcane Blaste: raw I think that's it. Boltcatcher gauntlets can add a shock AoE to critical hits.

Boeroer replied to AndreaColombo's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Me! The Spiritual Fists for the Woedican Priest are already enough to make my mouth so watery that I can only wipe it dry with a charsheet of a playable version of a Priest of Woedica!

Building a Barbarian. To Multiclass or Not?
Heart of Fury is awesome. Being able to use it makes playing a single class Barb worthwhile. It also works with ranged weapons, even reloading ones (Fire in the Hole + Hand Mortar is pretty hilarious with HoF).

How does Recall Agony Works!

How does Recall Agony Works!
You can see it popping out of enemies' heads as red numbers after receiving direct hits (not DoT ticks), I think that's all atm.

petition to make 2 handed weapons relevant
Boeroer replied to Ancelor's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I think adding a damage bonus (max roll or additive dmg mod) for two handers is an easy and good approach. For single weapons I would add a bit of crit damage on Full Attacks. In both cases you can explain it with taking your time (that dual wielders use to apply two attacks) to deliver a more powerful/better aimed strike.

Crit Chance comparison
Speaking of RNG: Sometimes I really have the impression the game is messing with my rolls in the early game. I roll so many sub-10s... I mean really a lot. And that's my impression in every started playthrough now. First I thought "man, the ACC/defense ratio must really suck at this poiunt" - but looking at the log it doesn't. I just roll 1 to 9 like all the time.

Building a Barbarian. To Multiclass or Not?
That is the most inapplicable statement I read in this forum for a long time. For example: against single targets Barbaric Retaliation is great. Againt mobs Heart of Fury is great. Instrument of Boundless Rage is powerful and adds a nice ranged alternative... and so on. A single class Barbarian will reach very powerful abilities a lot earlier than a multiclass one. E.g. Blood Thirst. He will also deal more damage with his Barbaric Blow because he will have a higher Power Level which adds base damage to its attack. Combined with MIG, Superb or even Legendary, Obe Stands Alone, maybe Blooded the difference is noticable. I personally find multiclass Barbs more interesting (I'm also playing a Warlock atm and it's great), but a single class one surely is powerful because of his great high level abilites, his faster progression and his higher PL. On the othr hand an advantage of a multiclass (besides the obvious reasons like synbergy effects) like Barb/Fighter, -/Rogue, -/Paladin, -/Monk or -/Ranger is that they can get +4 resource points from the Devil of Caroc Breastplate (Fighters even +2 additional from bracers) and +2 attribute points and skill points from the Chamaeleon Ring - while a single class Barb "only" gets +2/+1. If you don't plan to use those items it doesn't matter at all of course.

Crit Chance comparison
Fighter and Rogue have the same starting accuracy - so no difference on that part. Maybe gear is different? Or you debuffed more with Monk/Rogue than with Monk/Fighter before actually attacking with Stunning Surge?

phantom pain, secret horrors, mental binding, tenuos grasp
Ok. That's not stacking how I'd define it, but I understand what you mean.

Question about Spell-chance mechanic
Correct. But Blast hits (the area of effect explosion that Wizards can add to all implements) do count. So a Wizard with Blast can trigger on-hit or on-crit effects pretty often. Even more so if he uses Deleterious Alacrity of Motion before attacking.

Dual Great Sword wielding - yay!
Yes, you simple type giveitem Pike_Citzals_Spirit_Lance for example and you got yourself a permanent version of that lance that scales automatically with the wielder's level. It is the same object that you would summon - but when you summon in game the ability/game engine makes sure that it disappears after its duration. If you use the console to get it there is no "summon management" involved and the weapon is like any other.

[BUG v1.22] Concelhaut's Draining Touch becomes a permament weapon on Essential/Substantial Phantom
Hi, to reproduce: Cast Concelhaut's Draining Touch Cast Essential Phantom. It will get Concelhaut's Draining Touch as a weapon (copied from you) Essential Phantom can hit with Draining Touch as often as it wants to - it will not disappear. Related: Cast Kalakoth's Minor Blights Cast Essential Phantom. It will get the fire version of Minor Blights. This will have no duration and no cycling and will stay active as long as the Phantom is active. Cast any summoned item Cast Essential Phantom. It will get the summoned item which will not expire until the Phantom vanishes. The underlying Problem is always the same: the current item with all its properties gets copied - but not the effect that "governs" the item. In most cases that's not a problem, but with Draining Touch it gets cheesy.

Beta Patch 2.0 is live...and so far it looks more like a 1.5
Boeroer replied to Purudaya's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Or to damage enemies as a full tank which can contribute to the party. This is not a solo game and thus not every ability has to be viable for solo.
