  1. Hi, I'm toying around with Rekvu's items. Is there a way to get injured on purpose besides walking into traps or getting knocked out? For example: can I get an Acute Rash by throwing some poison on myself of something? Wasn't there a weapon that puts injuries on enemies or so? I can't find it.
  2. I just discoverd yesterday that the sword "Hel Beckoning" does the same as Grave Calling, but with spirits instead of vessels - and it summons a different kind of imp: instead of Grave Imps it summons . You can summon will-o'-whisps or phantoms and kill them with Hel Beckoning, creating Hel Imps. Unfortunately both types of imps doe the same damage type (corrode). Both weapons also belonged to the same character once (lore), so it's kind of cool to use both I guess.
  3. I'll focus on self buffs and applying Mule Kick in an AoE. I usually use the Bracers that give you more Discipline (basically two additional Mule Kicks or one additional Clear Out later on) and two Rings of Overseeing as well as Aloth's original armor. Once I get Spirit Lance I will use it with Mule Kick, else WotEP. Later, once you get Clear Out, you can deal massive AoE damage on cramped mobs (Pull of Eora or Arkemyr's Dazzling Light used like Spark Crackers) because Clear Out will do a Primary Attack on every enemy in range - and the Primary Attack of the Spirit Lance includes the crush AoE. So if you hit 5 enemies with a huge Lance circle and Clear Out cone they will each get hit by 1 pierce attack and 4 crush attacks. This also leads to Cleave very often. This does not work with WotEP though. It will not proc its cone AoE with Clear Out. I believe Wahaī Pōraga works.
  4. Oops - forgot to report that I added the build. Also forgot to update the date in the title. Will do later. Sloppy me...
  5. Yay! Trinkets finally! Nay! Powerful 1/rest ability! That sounds a bit uninspired. But better than an empty trinket slot, right? Maybe there's more to them than just the per-rest thing. I hardly ever use the per-rest charged items we have in the game so far. I mean it's basically 1/encounter as long as you have food and don't give a damn about immersion (unless you roleplay a narcoleptic of course). But still feels meh every time I see them. Changing how a class (or ability) works would also be a nice effect (see Path of Exile's Keystone passives). Something different that opens up more build variants. Ach, now I have to go and figure out how to build a narcoleptic character who sleeps all the time. Damn you, unrestrainedly meandering steam of consciousness!
  6. Her subclass would be pretty nice for solo. Too bad you can't solo with Xoti. In a party she has to be the no.1 damage dealer to make her subclass worthwhile. But as you said: doesn't matter much since she's still a monk.
  7. I was using her with Fist/Tuotilo's Palm and that worked pretty well. Wahaī Pōraga in second slot for the times she gets surrounded. Wahaī Pōraga with Force of Anguish or Skyward Kick is fun. Stunning Surge as well. For the single target enemies Fist and Tuotilo's were good as well.
  8. The basic assumption (the relation between enemies' weapon damage and party's health pool) is correct though. You can withstand a lot more hits after some levels because your health climbs faster than enemies' damage does. Also healing options get added which are basically additional health. That's why you'll encounter more and more enemies in one encounter the further you go. That's also why high AR is more beneficial in the early game.
  9. Console: giveitem ITEM_MISC_Bathing_Attire<tab>There are three different ones (02, 03 and without further number). One of them makes you go completely mirke-style (aka naked).
  10. I think one of the upcoming DLC includes a kind of arena:
  11. Afaik you can type "cloth" into the search field and you will see only cloth armor (if you filtered the stash for armor already).
  12. You can use the third unique spear (also Huana name) as backup. It has Pierce/Slash.
  13. I had success with Wahaī Pōraga + Gouging Strike and Toxic Strike first, then switch to Apex Ward setup and watch them die while riposting.
  14. Gilded Enmity doesn't scale with Iron Skin or Spirit Shield afaik. Citzal's Spirit Lance + Bleak Walker's FoD on the other hand... What happens with White Flames if you use Spirit Lance and hit multiple foes?
  15. Stalker's Patience is really good as well. But it's Boreal Dwarf themed - so no option for my pure Mataru who only uses items of Huana origin.
  16. Disengagement attacks are really clunky and unreliable to trigger. In theory your idea works - but atm it's a bit fiddly to intentionally trigger disengagement attack by leaving the enemy. Also I had lots of problems with Riposte + Disengagement attack (miss). Sometimes I have the impression that it doesn't trigger at all. Maybe that got fixed though. It was right after release when I wanted to do a disengaging Riposte build. In order to reach higher deflection but still do good Riposte damage you can use Akola's Apex Ward. It has an enchantment that does a crush Riposte on miss (25%). If you then also blind the enemy you can expect a lot of misses. But I don't know if crits with Akola's Riposte counts for Skald's phrase generation.
  17. "Every pub" does not include the one in the Lighthouse in Ondra's Reach if I remember correctly. I guess because theoretically you could skip that quest and there would be no pub then. Armor in early game is always plate for me. And potion of Spirit Shield. Belt of the Royal Deadfire Cannoneer is really nice.
  18. Retreat back behind a doorway so that only one enemy can attack you in melee. Cast Chillfog on the ground multiple times, always use Inspiring Radiance with Durance (it stacks with everything), then Combusting Wounds. Use Iconic Projection with Durance and implement + Blast with Aloth to trigger more Combusting Wounds. Level 4 is rather early though. Def. bring Kana Rua. He can use Soft Winds of Death and Ancient Memory to support passively and White Worms as soon as an enemy died in the group in front of the doorway. You can cast it over and over again on the same corpses. Turn off the gib option in the game menu. Gibbed enemies leave no body, which is bad for White Worms but also some other reasons (body parts like Skuldr Ears for example won't drop sometimes).
  19. It plays pretty nicely because you can apply Arterial Strike and Gouging Strike in an AoE from stealth in a second - and then just escape/evade around (fooling rushers) and attack more (either with Spearcaster or with rod if enemies still clump together). The fun with spearcaster is that you can immediately escape/evade after shots because it has no recovery (only reload). So jumping to a safe distance, reloading, shooting and jumping away right before they reach you is cool.
  20. Because you have Mirrored Image you can take a few attacks. It's not that bad at higher levels. But sure - pretty squishy. But one could easily change the stats and not gimp the damage much.
  21. Unbroken/Streetfighter doesn't get Mirrored Image (which stacks with Fighter's Vigorous/Refreshing Defense) and thus might be somwhat squishier. But it's of course pretty easy to get flanked. Stats could look like: MIG: 15 CON: 15 DEX: 08 PER: 15 INT: 10 RES: 15 or so. I also discovered that "Harpooning" of Mohora Tanga spear really scales with survival: not only the bonus damage, but also the PEN(!). I got 16 PEN with 20 survival. That's a lot of overopenetration...
  22. Dps wise Abydon's Hammer is not the best weapon. No lash (which is multiplicative damage), no speed, usual base damage. There is no universal "best" gear. It depends a lot on your character. For example Munacra Arret can have a bigger impact on an encounter as the Maegfolc Skull.
