Rogue can be pretty nice as well. Shoot some Toxic Strike, Gouging Strike, Arterial Strike, zoom in with Escape, cast Pernicious Cloud and zoom back out (needs Caroc's Breastplate for additional Guile maybe). The DoTs all work in an Aoe and stack with each other (and Deep Wounds). Maybe another order would be better, but you get the idea.

Why Monk? Monk doesn't have Monastic Unarmed Training. It's for all OTHER classes than monk. Also: not the fists make monks so good. It's their other abilities. So, Monastic scales the same with multiclasses or single class BUT it is actually scaling with a kind of single class PL progression. That does mean that if I wanted to get a nice PL boost with Monastic UT as a multiclass char I should take a Nature Godlike or Death Godlike Brute? Wellspring of Life/Pallid Fate: +1 PL / +3 PL Corpse Eater: +2 PL from certain kith meat food Tactical Barrage: +1 PL Something like that? Will have to try that out

Not during a whole playthrough, but partially. Also as Priest/Mage Slayer and Troubadour/Mage Slayer and even Wizard/Mage Slayer. With his innate spell resistance, Xoti's Lantern (and high Religion), Spell Resistance and stuff (stacks multiplicatively though) you can become pretty impervious to magic attacks and at the same time can stop casters. That's the whole point. If you don't use potions and scrolls in a party anyway (like me) it has not many drawbacks but locks down casters completely after a few hits.

The same way you can get two permanent one handed scaling great swords from Citzal's Enchanted Armory. I reported that bug some time ago but it wasn't fixed. Same thing used to work with the Breastplate + Form of the Fearsome Brute: you could keep the breastplate then (scaling, 0 recovery penalty). But that got fixed.

Actually I find druids pretty great because they can fulfill four roles with only one class: - debuffing/CC - melee striker/ranged striker (Fury) - nuker - healer Debuffing spells are good. They used to be better strikers in PoE, but still acceptable. As nukers they have those convenient spells that are powerful but foe-only - very convenient. As healers they are top notch. Also Greater Maelstrom is very powerful. Pollen Patch as well. So two of the highest PL spells are great, which is more than I can say about other single classes.

Barbaric Smash (refund on kill) works nicely with Bloody Slaughter - if you use Barbaric Smash with dual mortars on groups of enemies where some individuals are near death. The crit chance is higher and the crit damage even more. Since dual mortars Full Attacks generate lots of hits but the dmg per hit is low this is beneficial. The chance is higher to kill somebody with the Full AoE attack and get the refund. Also helps to apply Blood Frenzy on those who got crit but didn't die yet but are at the brink. They then drop afterwards. That won't give you a refund for Barbaric Smash but will still trigger Bloodlust and Blood Thirst. Oh and by the way: Heart of Fury + dual mortars + Avenging Storm (Heaven's Cacophony) is really fun. Vengeful Defeat as well. Combine with the Phantasm-Cape...

Yupp found that one too some days ago, searched all over it while fighting fampyrs, unfortunetly no antler there, that's why i started this topic, cuz i couldn't find enything in the web about that darn antler. The bartender usually has Antlers and Vithrak Brains (important for Devil's Breastplate). The fampyrs you (can) fight don't.

I played a Corpse Eater as spell-only Warlock. The PL bonus from kith meat food is great, but the rest is not. Flesh Communion's effect is good but takes too long (run there, 3 sec cast time) and it's fiddly to use (have to really hit a tiny spot with the mouse and there's no highlighting - run around enemies and catch disengagements). The +1 Rage cost is too bad for the most part of the game. The nice cheap stuff like Frenzy, Lion's Sprint and Roars costs double (!). I would always prefer a Berserker with Caroc's Breastplate/Modwyr/Svef/Infuse with Vital Essence With Boundless Rage the +1 isn't such a big deal. And single class Nature Godlike Corpse Eater with Stone of Power, Prestige and kith meat food would have a per-encounter PL bonus of +5(!), but you have to get there...

FoD is good with anything that has decent dmg bonuses. Like Rogue or Helwalker for example. If you can stack some more lashes those will multiply your dmg bonuses big time. For example: Dragon's Dowry (30% burning lash) + Bleak Walker's FoD (+40 ACC with ring and modal, +2 PEN from Scion of Flame and Spirit of Decay) + Sneak Attack + Deathblows + Assassinate + Two Weapon Style + decent MIG pulverize most enemies.

Correct - Carnage is not nearly as powerful as in PoE and thus it's not a big loss if you don't use it. Frenzy, Bloodlust and Blood Thirst are pretty great with a ranged weapon - although Blood Thirst only works with recovery, not reload - so only pick it when using bows and implements. Barbaric Blow works with ranged weapons. Heart of Fury also does (which is pretty weird but nice with Hand Mortar + Fire in the Hole or Waterschaper's Focus for example). Some "minor" passives like Threatening Presence are also not bad for ranged characters.

Stats as usual for casting: high MIG, PER and DEX. If you want to use Alacrity that's also fine, but Frenzy lets you use more Fireballs and/or Bounding Missiles. Fireballs are pretty good at high levels with lots of PL bonuses (from Magran's Favor and Sun & Moon: +4 PL). I also use a large shield in the second weapon slot (and weapon and shield style) so that I can stand in my own Wall of Flame without harm (until I get Rekvu's Scorched Cloak). Wall of Flame + Combusting Wounds is crazy good but takes long time to cast - that's why Frenzy + Bloodlust is nice for example (and Fast Casting as passive later on). I even use this guy naked at higher levels. No good for tanking but can hold his own well enough with the usual defense buffs from wizard and Savage Defiance. For boss fights I use Casita Samelia's Legacy (I maxed Intimidate anyway). I'm sure there are more powerful combos with wizard - but it is fun and finally you can achieve cast times that don't make you yawn.

Actually priests have freeze spells: Iconic Projection. They lack lightning based spells? Check again! Edit: Ach let me help you. - Warding Seal - Spark the Souls of the Righteous (ok here Heart of the Storm will only benefit the priest's own shocking aura, not that of allies) It's not much but it's there. They should simply allow all elemetnal PEN talents for priest. I mean there is a freeze spell every priest can take, so...
