  1. I've experienced this for a long time (since Sept. 2018) and also reported it. But it seems to be difficult to reproduce it. Some playthrough I see it all the time, on the other not at all:
  2. Speaking of cheese: What about Chanter/<whatever> with Grave Calling, using the good old "kill your own skeletons for foe-only Chillfogs" trick? Would for example trigger Brilliant Tactician all the time, deals damage, reduce enemies' ACC... also those Chillfogs triggers Avenging Storm by the way (like Blinding Smoke and basically all attack rolls that originate from weapons I guess).
  3. I'm not sure if they disqualify you if you use this bug or cheese with Brilliant/Stealth. It's not intentional and this might not be "in the spirit of the challenge". Maybe one could ask first if this is viable before dumping hundreds of hours into it? Because it is tempting.
  4. Thinking about Abydon's Challenge I remembered my solo run with a melee Geomancer who summoned Concelhaut's Draining Touch for his Essential and Substancial Phantoms. It won't go away after a hit when on a Phantom and it can then attack pretty reliably with +12 ACC (one handed), high base damage - and targets Will by default. Would it break with Abydon's Challenge? Do summoned weapons break?
  5. What also was strong on solo PotD for me, compared to most other builds I tried was a melee Geomancer (Stalker/Wizard). But I didn't try the megabosses with it. Was real smooth will all other bosses - without any resting bonuses and consumables.
  6. I also can't remember seeing anything. I thought that maybe at least the paladin orders have some heraldry - but I found nothing. The only thing is the gods' symbols - and those I used for the priest subclasses (except Gaun because there is no official one that I know of). That made Priest subclasses' icons very easy.
  7. Maybe they could have left the cursor unchanged and still allow disarming the trap.
  8. If depends how often Xoti gets hit. If she does get hit often I would wait until you can take Enduring Dance and then retrain, not before.
  9. If you know any sources that show symbols of paladin orders or other subclasses please let me know. I tried to find source material but only found basic stuff (e.g. that Pallegina's order has five suns - surprise surprise).
  10. If you want to bombard your own tank (or more precisely the enemies he keeps engaged) with AoE spells like Fireball and such then yes. He will not get hit much but if he does the dmg reduction is significant. Then it's the best option. Against melee attackers the generic medium shield can be better. But on the other hand the unique large shields are better again.
  11. I also wanted to suggest: just make it longer prone so that the overall "downtime" is identical.
  12. All styles work with ranged weapons. Two Handed Style works for the two handed ranged weapons, Two Weapon and One Handed Style with the one handed ones. Refreshing Defense is the Upgrade of Vigorous Defense (active ability). The Wall is the modal of the Large Shield Proficiency. Dance of Death --> Enduring Dance is very good. Once you ativate it you will immediately get 1 wound and +3 ACC (after 3 secs you already have 2 wounds and +6 ACC). No problem using moth Mortification of the Soul AND Enduring Dance. Enduring Dance does not count self damage, only damage that gets through attack resolution (attack roll vs. defense and so on).
  13. Afaik that's not a bug but by design. The goal is to enable you to spot traps by yourself (as player) and disarm them with mechanics. So high PER is helpful, but not mandatory. Nearly all traps are designed in a way that you can see them without highlighting them. Small graphical hints that show that there's a trap. At least there was a video very early in the beta phase with Josh explaining that you are able to disarm traps without spotting them with PER.
  14. I don't think you have to do two seperate mods for RtwP and TB...? Do you mean this particular fix (Arcane Archer) or the whole Polishing mod?
  15. Sounds more and more like Monk to me. Funny: I never read about Cantor in these forums. It seems to be a very unpolular multiclass. But it has two renewable resource pools (out of three), can call summons with both, has self buffs, passive healing, AR debuff, PEN buff, AR buff, hard CC, needs no weapons, could empower an invocation per encounter (Singing Scimitar) - maybe that's helpful in some cases? What it lacks is Resonant Touch and WotW. But is has good passive heals and resistances and whatnot...? Another point: Do you also think that Turn Based mode might be easier than RtwP? Think about dumping DEX and being able to "cheese" a bit more in general due to less playtesting (and thus less patched out OP-ness). For example a Black Jacket is very nice in TB as I read: You can switch to an offensive setup before attacking (like dual fists) and switch right back to full tank mode (Large Shield + Dagger or Hatchet). This is great even without any use of Discipline. You could use Monk/Black Jacket and use Monk's wounds as resource mainly and Discipline in emergencies? Like pulling Vela back with Out of Fire or so... Just an example - the per-rest Discipline might be too harsh. But I guess there are more of those gaps in TB mode now than there are in RtwP mode - where most of those things got patched out (remember Soul Blade + Whispers of the Endless Paths and such).
  16. Well arquebuses do have a very long reload phase. Even with two stacks of TS it will still feel long compared to something like Frostseeker - especially if you activated the modal. But in general TS's speed bonus should affect all weapons equally.
