I'd probably just equate them to the people here in the States who also believe we had a glorious past that they want to return to rather than believing they are true ideologues. My mother-in-law is still friends with them and she says it's a rosy retrospective type scenario.

Well, foreign policy remaining relatively static under previous administrations doesn't really reflect Trump's policy, if you can really call it as such. I mean, if you want more Russian and less US/Western influence, and I know some people who do*, then it's good for you but really Trump is too mercurial to have a policy beyond deferring to Russia and only caring about what you can do for him. *MiL has friends who want Russia to control Eastern Europe so they can LARP the good old days of the USSR

He's back but just on Mondays. The rest of the week has the correspondents hosting the show. According to Roy Wood Jr, a former correspondent, Hasan Minhaj was going to be the new host until that article came out about him.

About to give up on NBA 2K24 because it's too frustrating and I'm not opening my wallet to lessen the frustration. I only play MyCareer because it's like a basic basketball RPG and so I figured I'd try to edit the sliders because I don't ever play against other people but the game closes as soon as you open any modding tools and if you have them open when you launch the game then instead of opening the game it opens a webpage saying they don't allow any tinkering. So, yeah... if I paid more than a few bucks for this game I'd probably be pretty upset instead of just disappointed.

It's a glorified mobile game and even has event passes now. You know, pay 10 or 20 bucks for better and best rewards from in game events. At least there's no unskippable ads this time around.. at least none that I've seen.

NBA 2k24. Not sure if it's only because I suck with the timing in this game or if it's because of the way the game is designed (to sell VC) but I'm really struggling in my MyCareer game. I can't beat most of the challenge quests and my point guard is as responsive as a brick though not nearly as agile.

Bought NBA 2K24 from a shady key reseller so now I'm re-installing Steam and downloading the game.

I made steak on toast. Cooked the steak in herbs and butter, as is our way, and then sliced it and put it on toast and drizzled the butter pan sauce on top.

That thing is 4 feet long! I mean what's more likely, I'm misreading the measurements or that's a comically oversized tape measure and the largest bug in the world. It's obviously the latter.

Took my son to Monster Jam and Grave Digger won its 200th event. I was slightly dreading it but it turned out to be super fun.

See what I mean ... Embiid's injury pretty much ends my wife's fantasy bball season. She's leading the league but has lost her best player and two of her next best in Embiid, Morant, and Bane.

This has been stuck in my head for about an hour so this is me trying to get it out Not there's a Eurodance mix on and my wife is jamming out. I called it Eurotrash and the fake offense was priceless. I actually know most of these songs better than my wife because 90s dance music was my mom's jam. She rolled from disco into dance music. Anyways, now my son wants Michael Jackson videos.

There's a comedian I feel the same about even though this is the food part of the post. Sebastian something or other I think. Something about him I find off putting and can't get past to actually experience the comedy. The guy who takes his shirt off is the same for me. I can't get over my initial disgust.

For breakfast my son and I had a sirloin steak with over easy eggs and toast. My wife isn't a fan of steak for breakfast so she didn't want me to make a plate for her but she kept picking at my plate.

You'd think not but it's not the first common sense thing that's had to be regulated.

I kinda feel bad that Embiid is probably going to miss out on MVP but I do agree with the rule in general. Needing to play in at least 80% of your games to get season awards is reasonable to me as a fan. I might be okay with a few exceptions but I've been to several games where most of the stars are sitting out and it really sucks.

Grilled chicken quarters. Marinated overnight in mayo and Japanese BBQ sauce then grilled with a sweet honey BBQ sauce. I served it with rice that I cooked with a slice of bacon. I cheat on rice and make minute rice in the microwave... I don't like that about myself either but it comes out perfectly and quickly every time. I served it with a side of halved cherry tomatoes and salt and vinegar chips that I made in the air fryer. My son ate an entire quarter by himself and my wife thought it was the weirdest pairing I've ever done but then cleaned her plate and half of mine.

Just killed my entire party with pain channeling overflow damage. Something tells me that's not supposed to happen. E: curious if anyone knows if the skills that block burst damage to your party work with all AoE attacks? I guess I can test it with Toybox tomorrow... not that I expect it to help with the bugged pain channeling, just got me curious.

I'm pretty sure, or at least I hope, that for something like this, you are correct. For other things like smoking and sugar, I think it has come out that those industries knew the dangers back in the 50s/60s.

I'm pretty sure that the show ended or he was off before the allegations came out and he lost pretty much everything. He's still in the intros but every episode featuring him has been removed.

I'm sure I've watched some stuff over the last month or two but most of it slips my mind. Here's the stuff I remembered. Dave Chapelle and Ricky Gervais stand-ups - These are probably the worst I've seen from either comedian. Iron Chef America - My son is addicted to this show but it's funny how Hulu doesn't show any Mario Batali episodes. I get that he's a sex pest but my wife likes Italian food and I'm looking for ideas. I'm a monster, I know... he typed while listening to the Thriller album. e: We watched part 3 of Lupin as well and might start Echo next
