  1. if you mean Darya Dugina then possibly. I don't think anything was ever resolved with that, Russia said it was Ukraine, who denied it, and some other group took credit but not everyone believed them.
  2. It's higher level and more epic than Through the Ashes and even has its own alt-mythic system. It ties back into the main story and as you do more "adventures" the timeline moves along and you hear about what the commander is up to. The 2 major NPCs (gnome and tiefling) are back and they added a third, an android bard lady who immediately tells you she's not for romancing. They added some interesting mechanics and even the new puzzles aren't completely terrible. Difficulty is all over the place but if you've been playing these for a while then you probably already know how to easily game the system... though I'm a big proponent of just lowering the difficulty if you aren't having fun.
  3. I beat the Lord of Nothing just a few minutes ago and I really enjoyed it. I was surprised that it wasn't super buggy, though not bug-free, and I could complete it with no major issues. I liked the almost mythic system they put in and think the 3 NPCs from this might be my favorite of the bunch. Curious to play through the main campaign to chapter 5 and see what they added. E: I don't like that you can't stack dragon bloodlines anymore. I can still easily delete things but I had a groove and they're making me switch up things, the bastards.
  4. I'm trying to play it but GOG says I don't own it. Then I go to buy it and then GOG says hey, this is in your season pass. Repeat.
  5. Trying to explain Baywatch Nights to my wife. I wonder if it's as bad as I remember it. I wonder if it's streaming anywhere.
  6. Thanks, I thought it was me or my network.
  7. It's football so I automatically assume they're all domestic abusers and sex pests. That way I can be impressed when they approach normal levels of decency instead of almost always being disappointed. Probably mentioned this before but I had a cousin who played pro ball and he definitely checked both boxes. e: Now that I think about it, one of my dad's best friends played briefly for the Cowboys... his relationship with his now ex-wife and kids makes so much more sense to me now.
  8. I took some of the pork shoulder that I cooked down a couple of days ago and threw it on the grill and smoked it for a bit. Then we made tacos out of it.
  9. I actually did but I don't like PvP games and the fact that you can lose everything
  10. We have digital ID in Colorado but it's entirely opt-in and it holds state licenses like driving, fishing, hunting, and agricultural stuff. You can put other stuff in there if you want like COVID vaccination records, vehicle registration and titles, and insurance. I don't because I'd rather hand a cop a piece of paper or plastic rather than my phone but my COVID stuff is in there. Online taxes and voting by mail, in this state, since voting is by state, we can do without that. I just had to give my SSN and phone number which they already have.
  11. I made chili a few days ago and today I'm going to render a pork shoulder down in the pressure cooker and make fideo sopa con puerco.
  12. Supreme Court attempts to address ethics concerns with new code of conduct but leaves many questions unanswered Though I prefer the Fox News headline, Supreme Court adopts modified ethics code after pressure from Hill Dems.
  13. That reminds me, I need to get back to my Devil run.
  14. That's true but they were also some of my very first RPGs along with the original Fallout games, I mean, BG2 and ToB anyway. I still haven't completed BG1. That said, Icewind Dale 2 was my favorite of the IE games when it came to mechanics. I'm not big into TTPRGs (because I had no friends that were into it and probably no tables that were into it either) but I liked the games that were based on D&D 3.5 the most and why I really enjoy OwlCat's Pathfinder games.... and even with those my game is heavily modded with tons of additional options. I also recognize that my affinity for "spreadsheet games," as my wife likes to call them, makes my preferences less mainstream and accessible. Unfortunately, I like what I like so I'm left with slim pickings.
  15. None that I know of. Some of the streamers that already have the full game have put out some build guides and whatnot but I don't know how spoilery they are. This thread is fairly light on spoilers though. Mostly just stuff you'd know if you watch any of their promotional videos.
  16. I'm trying to get into it again but it's just not crunchy enough to keep me engaged.
  17. I know @Guard Dog doesn't come around very often anymore and @ManifestedISO hasn't been around in forever but happy birthday nonetheless.
  18. I got the snip. I also got sick, real sick, but not COVID according to the home tests.
  19. I know the Avengers from Married... with Children. Al Bundy wanted to see Emma Peel kick really high or something. It's probably been 30 years since I saw that episode so I may not remember it 100%. E: I looked it up and it was about 29 years ago. Crazy the random stuff I remember vs all the meaningful stuff I forget
  20. Yeah, I live in the US where we now* have a patchwork of laws regarding abortion and not everyone can afford to travel to a neighboring state (or if in the deep south cross several states) to get the care they're seeking. The best way to reduce abortions is to improve sexual education and provide free and super low cost contraception. The problem here is that a lot of places teach abstinence only or sometimes nothing at all. Because you know, if you don't teach your kids they won't figure it out. Shady story time. I think I've mentioned before that went to Teen Pregnancy High School. It was the school that all other schools would ship their pregnant students to because we had the best programs for teen moms because our rate was super high. Even before high school we had two girls get pregnant between elementary and middle school and a good handful more get pregnant in middle school. Anyways, so many stories I heard were simply because they didn't have access to contraception. Sex is going to happen no matter what so the best thing you can do is set kids up for success. * We always had a patchwork but it was technically legal everywhere even though some states made it a hard as they could get away with.
  21. I've been watching Loki season 2. I don't know if this season is just way better or my taste has gotten worse but, aside from a few obvious plot related stupidity moments, I've been thoroughly enjoying it. Easily my favorite Disney show yet.
