  1. i haven't gone that far on the monk but wouldn't a single handed spear user (left hand slot) monk be stronger if you going torment spam then traditional barefist? they share the same weapon class so u wont be wasting any talents with weapon specialization. U get +12 acc on both hits of the torments reach's full attack. +5 acc on the aoe and one of the full attacks. Disadvantages are that without wounds and torment spamming he would be incredibly weak and ur attack rate with torment will be slower. However u will be more accurate and potentially hit harder due to critical and weapon mods. custom spear from the caves can have some nice bonus (+1.25 damage when attacking same enemy as ally)
  2. Does anyone know for sure how the game determines which target the enemy attacks when there are multiple people engaged to it? I know initially it will stick to the person who first engages the target but it often will switch to another target especially if its in engagement range. its kinda frustrating when im trying to get hit as a barb or a monk and the enemy refuses to turn around or im playing a rogue and flanking them just to have them turn around and eat an attack in the face.
  3. i think crossbows are the best choice for rogues problem is the unique ones are deep in the endless path i also like pistols because of ducanale pistol with the .5 extra crit modifier. You also get one with 1.2 speed modifier (which doesnt work) for free early in act 2. though if speed mod works the choices might be different depending on how its implemented
  4. u can go the best of both world and use a sabre. Only 1 base damage off two handed weapons. Can be wielded single handed for early game accuracy boost or dual wield for massive speed boosts. there are some amazing sabres btw with critical damage mods which I think are one of the better mods in game provided u got someone to debuff enemy defenses.
  5. 2 biggest problem with rangers are: pet sucks and die really fast on potd. lack of damage modifiers making them horrible with bows (im guessing most people that complain about damage are using bows) but yea i dont doubt that if u stack proper amount of speed and accuracy on them they will do good damage granted the pet is alive but u put a bow on them or having your pet die will lead to abysmal dps.
  6. i also have flanking effect dissapearing early. Not sure what triggers or causes it. I am sure it is not just because of phantoms/teleporting.
  7. Biggest choice rogue gotta make is weapon . Unfortunately at first I thought Borresaine was the easy winner until i found that the stun status that it gives on critical hit just freezes people in place with no additional effects. Its not the stun status that causes massive deflection penalties and trigger sneak attacks. So damage wise it isnt good. It is good for locking people down for a long time if you are being overwhelmed. also increased weapon speed mods doesnt work on weapons making the rain not so useful.. so u are basically left with lenas or cloudpiercer for good bow choices for damage. if you are going heavier there might be better choices.. I havent really played rogue archer after the Borresaine disappointment. Hopefully the speed mod is fixed next patch.
  8. sorry to single u out but this is soo wrong and i dont want others to be mislead... the game's damage mechanics do not work like that not even close.
  9. decent game but with many flaws. too many obvious bugs making it to gold, unclear and poor game mechanics that doesnt make much sense. its just not very fun the way its designed. its very bland and dumbed down. they need to stop writing so many in game books and actually have proper documentation available in game or online.
  10. i really like the human racial for barbarians because they drop hp pretty fast when frenzy is poppped and go below 50%. They just need to use savage defense to get back to full hp and have +7 accuracy and 1.15 damage modifiers. However monks dont have an amazing self heal so they have to rely on moon godlike's racial to survive (maybe with a draining weapon it can work). I do love the monk and they do destroy most enemies super fast with torment spam. However they do run into issues with enemies with super high dr since they are lacking damage modifiers.
  11. my guess u are in that area before the first town. After entering you are fatigued so you stats are lower then usual so make sure u rest. Also unless u going for a solo run dont stay and fight all the encounters there. Go to the next area(town) and pick up a companion or 2 (also will most likely take you to level 3) before coming back and clearing the place.
  12. couple things.. where does the aoe come from?? (im guessing you meant DOT not AOE) when did rangers get sneak attack to get the 1.5x damage from hobbled enemy? am i missing something?
  13. there is no reason to go 2h unless you going to use extended reach weapons. A tall grass rogue is extremly powerful and can survive well in potd.
  14. this is pretty interesting. I did some initial testing to see what works and what doest with torement reach. early game i think the best way to get the most out of torment's reach is to use offhand weapon with + 5 accuracy (empty main slot) the +12 one hand bonus accuracy applies to both hits of the full attack (fist damage + 12 accuracy at the start of game = awesome) the +5 accuracy applies to all the aoe damage and one of the attacks from the full attack if you use a dagger u can still have relatively fast attacks relativel to dual wielding and can almost spend wounds as quickly as you get em i tried weapons like maces/stilletoes with dr reduction properties but it doesnt apply to aoe damage nor the second hit from the full attacks.
  15. U can grab and abuse the figurines as soon as act 2 start and make your way to tidefall if you want it early. It wont be easy especially on potd difficulty. the shade and beetle figurines are available for free as soon as you can step foot in defiance bay. THere are also a couple more for sale. the shade figurine is at the vallian embasy in first fire (locked chest 8 mechanics) the beetle figurine is in a hidden cache near the theater in copperlane
  16. 2 useful things really early game that can help make things easier might not be weapon but u can get a plate armor right when u get into guilded's vale by killing the backer standing near the entrance to eothas. There are nobody (other then some kid who doesnt seem to care) near him to witness you murder him so there is no rep loss/people turning hostile. Really useful early game for dealing with wolf and boar packs. also a free pistol for killing the fire godlike at madmr bridge if u dont want to waste enchants on dissapointer or want to sell it for gold
  17. for 2h rogue from my experience I would max intel especially if u gonna make use of Tall Grass and other on hit status. If u dump intel (3/4 itel) the prone only last like 2 seconds making it almost useless because u cant get in another hit before they get back up. I would also have higher constitution and just dump resolve and perception. Mages, shadows, archers, and other enemies with big range tend to want to target those with the lowest HP. (at least that is what I notice with my rogue) Max str, dex, intel, rest in con dump res, per tho with this build ur dialouge option is severely limited so i dont recommend as your first playthru
  18. Just a warning about Aedirin's wrecker I have been playing around with the Borresaine's crit to stun mod.. It doesnt give deflection penalties on the stunned target and it doesnt trigger sneak attacks for my rouges. It however freezes the enemy for almost 12 seconds with my 19 intel rogue. also given ranger's stunning shot talents I think that weapon is no better then a normal suberb bow. I would not use hold-wall or The Rain until weapon speed mods gets fixed. I would play around with Lenas,cloudpiercer, wendgar, and good friend as im not sure which one works the best. This game is very buggy so u wont know what mods work and which ones doesnt. (EX:Coordinating not giving damage bonus according to other topics).
