  1. the long fist has the highest base damage of any weapon (same as arquebuses) in the game once maxed out. it also scales better then fists on the same levels. its basically like a gun that can be spammed at dual wield melee speed. i was playing around with my 21 might monk and had 33 - 48 as listed damage.. if u stack more damage buffs and add the monk's natural lashes the damage is insane. pretty sure it will be nerfed. the other 2 skills are kinda bad though.. the kick would be decent if it was full attack and resonance doesnt last long enough to be effective.. maybe on a dragon it might be useful after u get like 20 hits on him.
  2. yea but who needs to spam torment when your base damage is so high. just stack turning wheel and lightening strikes and high might and u can prob easily get 50+ damage from non crits.
  3. well monks get ranged fists that has a 24-36 base damage and +20 acc... (pretty sure its bugged) that last a whopping 30 seconds for 2 wounds..
  4. charge seems useless for an ability that is such high level. it might be useful early game but late game ur characters are so strong and have so many cc and nukes that they dont need fighters to tank for them.
  5. obviously if u got a lot of spells and willing to spend it there is very little tactics needed. if u are fighting with just per encounter spells pre level 9 using the door choke point is probably the eaisest way to control the enemies.
  6. upstairs of salty mast.. kill the guard of the gentleman's club u get exceptional leather + pair of exceptional stilletos very nice gear for the start of chapter 2 and saves u gold.
  7. dw sabre was the best pre 2.0 but now 2h has the potential to outdamage them. their speed can be matched with enough attack speed stacking and their damage is slightly higher. Also there are weapons with Annihilation available for 2handers. granted it takes a lot of potions and can only be done late game but the potential is there. also no dwing Annihilation will only give +50% not +100% weapon mods only apply to their swing and not the one in the other hand.Only stat that carries over i believe are + might.
  8. I havent completed the game in 2.03 yet but currently replaying it as a rogue. going 2h early game is terrible dps wise (dw with a plate attacks faster then 2h naked.). Just toss the heaviest armor on your rogue and let him go beat stuff with DW. Late game when u can spam potions and stack attack speed, u can respec to 2handers. also i would ignore resolve altogether. the best way to survive is to not be targeted. If you wear heaviest armour and have a decent hp pool the enemies doesn't seem to want to go for you over the other front liners (i use eder and pallegina). Even if they target you it wont hurt that much with 20+ DR. Max all dps stats, rest in constitution, dump int + resolve would be my recommended stats. yes your will saves will be godawful but you can have your reliable paladin bail you out of CCs.
  9. For 2.01, the day 17 pair, gauntlets of accuracy & blunting belt, aren't in Raedric's Keep, main floor, desk & bed anymore. I know the days in which these items appear in-game are different from hilfazer’s list, but the order in which they’ve appeared always stayed the same. Here, the day 16 pair skips straight to the day 18 pair, missing the day 17 pair. Anyone kind enough to confirm this? I’m building an on-crit barb PC so the gauntlets are essential. This is very frustrating. works for me i got the +5 and belt on day 17. Version 2.03 ill also add on day 11 you can get a blunting belt on the first floor of path of the endless (crates in the room next to maerwald with spiders) anyone got the specific day for gauntlet of swift action?
  10. make sure you look at the enemy DR and carry 2 sets of weapons with different damage type. Later on you will run into enemies with immuninty to damage types. For example if you run forest troll you would switch to piercing weapon then when you run into lurkers you switch to slashing. for an early estoc go east of black meadow and pick up the companion there. he carries and estoc.
  11. there was a mod that lets u dual wield them on nexus.. not sure if it works anymore
  12. i have read all your posts.. Do you really think you are open minded when trying different classes/playstyles? that post you made about trying the monk class is laughable and just about the most close minded thing ive read on these forums. this topic really needs to be called best class suited for brindle88's liking and personal playstyle.
  13. How am I clouded minded on my thinking, I suggested barbs where weak at the start of this thread and when people vouched for them I went and built the builds they suggested and posted my response from experience gained trialing the barb. We have not said the fighter is the most op build we have (almost ) unanimously agreed the wizard is, again go back and read the whole thread do you even know what you are posting anymore? read topic title. then read your first post
  14. im not saying you dont play potd. the point is u dont try what people stated works for them because you are close minded in your thinking so you keep posting and saying how bad things are when their opinion differs from yours. if fighters were the "most op" class in 2.02 why were they buffed in 2.03?? clearly im missing something.
  15. dude i only play on potd. dont knock it until you try it. the way u instantly hate on certain classes and play styles shows your inexperience in the game.
  16. u do know that armor recovery is a useless stat in many situations. u pretty much go naked or super light armor as rogue/rangers. I played my rogue with an enchanted cloth almost the entire game. my ranger was just naked. Also Attack speed % is better then amour recovery because it can be applied with and without armour penalties. rangers and monks do more damage then the fighter (they have sustainable atk spd buffs). Fighters arent even close to the level of rogues in terms of damage. Also second chance seems to be nerfed to being once per rest making it kinda crappy. now surviving and taking hits fighters is way better then every class except monk. (not counting casters)
  17. fighter changes are not in game and its not just a display error. i saw the combat rolls for discipline barrage and its still +10 acc instead of 15.
  18. mate we have all acknowledged the game isn't made for pvp read the entire thread. And where not talking about stealth where talking about the rogue ability shadowing beyond the point is the entire time you are bending the rules in the imaginary pvp scenario to favor the rogues. because pvp doesn't exist people will just bend the imaginary settings anyway to favor any class they want.
  19. game isnt made for pvp. there are no invisible enemies so there is no stealth detection mechanic. using invisibility as the rogue's trump card is plain stupid to be honest since there are no skills made to counter it because enemies dont use it. every class can just stay stealth indefinably if there is a pvp fight. No characters would start a fight unstealthed and no one would break stealth because they cant find each other leading to a stalemate 100% of the time.
  20. if u land a lot of damage on the monk in a 1v1 with the rogue u will be hit by a massive rooting pain and might be forced to back off. All the monk has to do is land one force of anguish and its over with the chain ccs. Monk also can survive the initial barrage with a lot of defensive skills and splitting into multiple clones which the rogue cant deal with with the lack of ccs if he used them all on the monk already also con being % based doesnt mean u lose more but u also keep a lot more. thats why barbarians can get away with low con easier they dont get one shot / bursted down as fast.
  21. right now monks are better then fighters in almost every way. there is a reason why next patch is buffing fighters.. the fighter's hp regen is only really useful in act 1. In act 2 u can rush shod of faith and they will almost never go down after that. monks do amazing amounts of damage and can soak up a lot of damage. problem with rogue is surviving in group battles with a lot of mobile fast melee, ranged and casters. You really have to depend on your other party members on landing their cc. its not all about single target damage dealing in this game. CCs, aoe, and staying alive is important as well. also barbs can get away with low con better because of their higher base endurance and savage defiance. im not hating on rogues (if u look at my post history im always saying how strong they are) but saying they are clearly better then barbarians just because they can do damage is kinda silly.
  22. ..213 crits and 254 hits is not 84% crit. u add it up to find the % so it 213/(213+254) anyways that screen is misleading because if u use aoe heals like shod in faith everytime u heal it will add to the hit count. Im sure some other spells count as well. it also does not display misses
  23. on potd enemies come in huge groups instead of just 1 or 2. carnage alone makes a barbarian one of the strongest damage dealers in game because of this. they also have access to an easy 53+ attack speed which comes into play late game when u can really start stack attack speed to exponential amounts.
  24. attack speed builds are godlike late game once u have enough of it. u can interrupt like crazy since most melee got high perception now and u attack every 1 second or so.
  25. barbarian yell only seems to target one person instead of aoe. carnage sometimes randomly stops working (not sure what causes this) characters charge forward a bit even if u do use frenzy running into melee range (if u are using extended reach) to manually use frenzy u need to set the AI a certain way and can only be activated after u attack once. i really want to revert back to 2.0 without having to do full install..
