  1. the second hit of the whisper of endless path isnt considered melee. so any bonus that applies solely to melee wont work on the second hit and anything hit by the cone. it will only apply on the first hit. also when u trigger cleave u will land one hit instead of double damage. still a nice weapon tho.
  2. it always depends on the build and what equipment u are gunning for. since there are a lot of recovery bonus items i think dex for the most part is pretty weak but perception is stronger due to lack accuracy buffs and equipment.
  3. Heartbeat Drumming? According to the wiki, it works on melee weapon crits, so not bows. It's really hilarious if fighter/monk is the best bow user. except berserker can do everything the devoted does better damage and speedwise. just need to control that confuse which isnt hard. to me it comes down to sharpshooter vs berserker
  4. this one i cant seem to figure out. anyone know how long it lasts? i thought it was until the next rest but i saw it go away before i rested. i also tested in wating in town for days, level ups, and map transitions and i still cant figure it out,
  5. i noticed this too. i was excited also when i saw the unique pistol had a stacking -15% recovery enchantment available then become sad when it made little difference.
  6. thats up to u. to me the extra attack from driving flight and much higher accuracy far out weighs devoted bonuses to me to me accuracy is the most important stat since its hard to come by. u can find gear with tons of recovery bonuses. triggering swift flurry is what u want and driving flight and higher accuracy gets it done frost seeker or not accuracy not stacking is not a bug. its always been like that. rangers like the first game is only class where all their acc bonuses stack with everything else. otherwise there be no reason to go ranger. (also +5 per doesnt stack with other per buff so its not exclusive to fighters.) a lot of classes look better on paper but when u go in game to see what stacks and the available gear it changes. recovery penalty and boost might sound big but when u are getting gear with 15-20 recovery bonuses it changes also.
  7. devoted 10 accuracy from stance does not stack with any other boost making it useless unless u dont run with a buffer or use monk dance (if u use a cleric level 4 spell it overrides it) ranger gets 10 mark, 5 marksman, 10 stalker (all stacks with cleric spells). then another +20 from accurate wounding shot (only applies to initial 3 shot arrows) sharpshooter gets 15 hit to cri from their passive. i didnt go into recovery since there are ton of gear and buff that can lower it to similiar amounts. the 10% penalty from ranger isnt much. accuracy on the otherhand is in short supply.
  8. i always thought the difference between power levels at level 20 was 2.. how come monk seem to have 4 difference. i know there is passive u can take at 20 that increase it by 1 but that still doesnt make up the difference.
  9. Devoted+monk - bcs he have more pen, more dmg, more crit dmg, more hit>crit conversion then ranger+monk, when ranger have only 10 hit advantage. Best ranger is fighter, sad but true. ranger has 25 more accuracy and driving flight. devoted only has slightly more (10%)hit to crit if u go sharpshooter but 25 lower accuracy. now berserker is a different story but u gotta pump him full of drugs and food so he doesnt blow up your teammates. ranger is underestimated their exclusive accuracy buffs stacks with everything. im not counting +20 from wounding shots since other class have +accuracy from skills(not sure if any goes to 20). running around with +45 accuracy mid/early game is huuuuge.
  10. spiritshift had an insane base damage in the first game and could deal out the most single target dps probably if u can find ways to land hits. his only weakness was his base accuracy but that can easily fixed in the first game with afflictions and buffs. in this game base damage doesnt change and u only get % damage increase. also monk fists are slightly better. just make a 2 druids one multiclass and one that isnt multiclass, take both to 20 and u will have ur answer. i tried this day one if i remember right the pure druid was stronger so that means its powerlevel. doing it on just one druid wont tell u anything (whether it scales from powerlevel or character level)
  11. u cant get acc and massive deflection debuffs in this game. ranger can get 25 (10 from mark and stalker and another 5 from marksman) + 20 from spells (level 4 priest) for auto attacks add +10 for wounding. i looked thru the debuff list and i dont see anything big. not like the first game where u can almost take the enemy's deflection to zero. thats why ranger is a good class over fighter if u want to abuse this since accuracy isnt easy to come by anymore and hit to crit is always good.

  13. found another hilariously broken combo sharpshooter/helwaker with frost seeker (heath orlan) crit city (this is all from one attack with swift fury) https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/931561028383403096/253B43C34C7B57BAB0635D1C87F1E70DB30579EF/ this is level 7 nowhere near its full potential. imagine this with another 25% crit to extra attack, driving flight, 50% lash damage, etc played around with the statue boss at poko kahara and i literally took it down with one attack. it just kept procing extra attacks non stop.
  14. if i remember right ( i tested this yesterday) single class monks will have 30% extra damage. it was like 50% vs 80% bonus damage i think.. ill try again later to make sure. its really easy to test just kinda time consuming. go to your nearest inn and make the 2 characters and use console command to get them both to 20.

  17. what i know so far item with same stat boost does stack. had multiple +1 int gear stack accuracy boost from fighter stance and monk dance do not stack. so im guessing magic based accuracy boosts do not stack. have yet to try ranger stalker link. aware + intuitive did not stack. tried it with a fighter and the priest spell.
  18. devoted/hellwaker is also a strong combo on paper. early game use a pistol for accuracy boost with one hand. use dance of death to get wounds and acc up. u should be able to maintain 12 acc and 30% damage from ranged easy. should also get the 30% penetration bonus quite often also mid/late game switch to blunderbuss and abuse swift flurry. i dont like blunderbuss early game because it misses/grazes way too much.v 10 acc penalty early game is huge.
  19. as soon as u get level 5 (by the time u repair the ship) with monk u can spam super fast melee attacks that do 40+ non crit with lightning fists. u can also spam torment if u play shattered pillar for good aoe. just abuse nature godlike +2 powerlevel since u can basically get it all the time at level one witth swift strikes. unless there are suberb weapons available at level 5 i dont think any class can match how broken the monk is at melee. u are getting +35% and 10 accuracy at level 5 for ur fists.
  20. the cipher skills are nice but they come into play so late in the game by then u prob have a dozen or so overpowered spells and weapons. i think the rogue, fighter, and monk skills are extremely useful at level 7.
  21. that means u can take the marksman talent for extra accuracy as well. They will also get 20% atk speed boost from chanters though u prob want the 25% fire damage.
