  1. Not sure... in my gameplay there is enought priates, And they all get boring at some point, not really wishing to be distrupted with some random pirates bothering me. Maybe... if there was one unmortal captain, who would respawn in very specific location, and just got storonger and stronger with each death, but that would be only 1 location.
  2. How old the game needs to be to be subject of aging, like 18+? Generally 2005 when games started to look decent, Homeworld, Bloodlines, NFS MW, With some resolution upgrade they already look fair enought.
  3. WHO states that there exist Gaming Addition http://www.who.int/health-topics/international-classification-of-diseases Serious: Probably exist, there are online disorders or eating disorders, could be gaming. Pros: Scientists could publish research about VGA, also get funds for that. Public health system could fund therapy either by psychotherape or alternative like soccer youth team, or painting lessons. There could be complex disorder with compulive gaming being easy to spot, but ill could have more in mind, like depression or something like that. Less Serious: Can i take sick day to play Deadfire?
  4. At least with Wizard and grimoires, not even counting grimoire swaping it is not that bad 2 per level from book, +1 per tier, maybe another +1 if there is a situacioanly good spell, or you just like the versality. 3-4 spells per level generally is enought. You dont need "deflection" spell at each tier. If you want spice single caster: passives +1 spell cast at tier 1-4 generally more passives suitable for casters (wand mastery, fire mastery and so on) taster spells at tier VIII-IX, wizards are not bad, but Priest feels rather limited At PL 8 passive "you can use empowerment twice" There is a thing that wizard has 18 free spells, and priest/druid only 9. Idea: Generic everylevel spell. Like Eothas priest could take passive which give at each tier spell "Eothas rescue" which is basic heal with base healing based on tier (from 30 to 120) In the same time Magran Priest just rain fire at area. It is "same" spell but with different values, maybe some twist at each level. That could be very flavourish. And sometimes you are fine with "basic heal at each tier". Fun example: Wael Mystery, at each tier it sends bouncing ball against enemies, which deals random type of damage, and set condition. Condition depends on tier starting from dazed, through terrified ending with domination.
  5. That is why legendary levels could be a solution. You still progres slow but steady, and you get something, but is is very slow, and gains are no longer essencial. So you can enjoy your final build for more than final battle. End game.
  6. Cipher Rogue is strong bet, Ascendant for even more power. You can max focus even quicker using buffed rogue attacks, and still have enought level points to buy all good cipher spells. Nevertheless it is annoying, that there are some good cipher powers, but many of them are total waste of space.
  7. Having abillities just plain inferior is a problem, and should be adressed by buffing less used abillities, or just one which are skip at balance check and are now dump. However... it is possible to specialize our character one way or another. Like caster could be CC, Heal, Support, Nuke, or Martial or Summons. With 5 party members there is a room for specialization. But you cant specialize if your "spells" cant fallow any pattern, and are randomly ok or bad. Like Priest, is not even good healer, most nukes are weak or absent, CC is like two spells, and best buffs are all at one level. With enought spells total, and buffing the weak, at least there will be specialization. Also specialization for casters with passives could be stronger, passives "deal even more dmg with fire" or "use wands to great effect" would allow it.
  8. Allowing MC to take VIII and IX PL, could result in harder balance, since some abillities could be made with an assumption that they will not interact with other classes abillities.
  9. I am suspisious about new powerful tiers with abillities. We can now summon dragon and meteor shower. What next? Tier X: Eora Destruction, all your enemies are dead, all your problems solved, forever! What could be done are legendary levels, which are twice much costly so like 50k each, very slow progression, and you can gain only passives. So no more active abillities. But could make your spells penetrate more and fire more. More powerful abillities: There is not enought cool abillities at level I-IX. So maybe stick to that.
  10. You dont fallow trends. You set them!
  11. So... sneak pique is the feeling you get when trying stealth, but all enemies suddenly show exclamation marks.
  12. Mirke or Ydwin? Pirates or Necromancers? Some question may remain unansweared. Both. Mirke is also good, she fits the sea theme, and is always in party fun stance. But the companion roaster need to be versalite including yandere and tsundare, party girl and bookwurm.
  13. Zweihander? Clay me More! There ware also Flamberg swords, that would look hot. Problem: Two Handers was arms race with full plates, so they should be gut against armour. But this is not represented in game. Obsidian fix!
  14. There is a problem that Priest may feel blant in comparison to other casters or semi casters (like chanter). The deity pick means not much. Especially for Eothas when you gain spells you had access anyway. Some ideas to change it: passive related to deity weapon passive giving some god related bonus (like berath immunity to disease or death effects) passive altering Holy Radiance with deity, like Eothas blind (this could also be base modifcition) Some spells/spells line, which fallow same patern, but appear at each level with increasing power. Like Eothas have basic heal, like restore which appears at each level I-IX. But Magran have Magran Fire spell at each level. So if you pick Eothas for healing you will definetly have some healing at each level. Funny that Priest ended with quite limited healing compared to Paladins or Chanters.
  15. I use Teheku as support with dual class Druid/CHanter, he has two unique classes, so that provides a lot of versality even if he is mostly healing. I dont care about his likes and dislikes with Party, since even rivalry will ends with some quarell which we can diplomacy out and just say to them to be adults.
  16. Ydwin isinteresting since she has something to say about this whole soul thing and breaking up with gods. Just need decide how much is enought, so she will definetly be remembered as indidual companion (#notahire) but OE will not go bacrupcy doing her. Rather yes: + 10 min of tex + tell me history of your life on my ship + some input to the quests + some interaction with full companions + maybe some side quest, you need sidequests anyway + Some talk with pallegina that gods are worst Maybe another time - strong preferences over factions - judging every move - romance, she dont want to eat us out - constant telling Eder that he will do it for everyone It does not need tobe Companion or bust. Just hireling with bonus portrait is too litte.
  17. I somehow like what Home Interactive is doing (like Wargame series), just Spiders haven really prove themself.
  18. Big shield is interesting option for support caster as secondary slot, if you are casting buffs, heals or summoning then you dont care about acc anyway. Also you can spare a talent for modal +12 Def when you need it (Arms bearer for class which normally dont need it).
  19. Gold, Ship, Fine Equipment, and levels (4th) are my favorite blessing. They do not even make game easier (if you have scaling on), just skipping boring stuff when you have no abillities and no gear.
  20. CP77 looks great. We have enought very dark cybergames. I suppose it wil still dark in substance, just with neons and glitter. YOu can be a very dark lord, but still be preatty and use nice words. (just like EA). Also the author of CP2020 rpg pnp cooperates (the black fat man) and if he says that design is ok, i trust him more.
  21. It is ok, playable and everything. Dont dump per, and dex. It could be better to play just WIzard, since you will get top spells sooner, and with empowerment refill your spells total are just right. With Sorcerer you have so many spells, that you no longer use them all. Nature Godlike with FleetFood and Infuse Vital Essence is still good. Lack of passives sucks a bit less, since you pick some extra spells for Druid, Some extra spells for Wizard and in the end you have very little level points free. There is other route of Lifegiver/Eoaths/Trubadour/Wayferer, the healing route.
  22. If SoulBlade, then Rogue backstab, Assasin for better effect. Not sure what OE tried to achieve but now it is the best to play SB at all. You could also play SoulBlade as regular Cipher with less focus, and dont use SoulAnihilation, but use more Shreds. Not sure what for, and if massive shreds really pay off, but you can. Other than that any Cipher+Martial is good/ok. Rogue is even better now since you have better burst. BleakWalker works as usual. Only Wizard/Priest/Chanter combo is more questionable. Shifter is an option, but simple martial class is probably better.
  23. Buff subclasses which see less play (you know who they are) and abillities which nobody picks. More legendary weapons of mass destruction, at least no sabre/sword type Some balance/love to 2H weapon sticks. While keeping them different from 2wf The Cake for single classes, could be "Zeal on kill" or "double use of empowerment" or just summon the dragon spell. But you can be more creative. Just dont nerf MC for the sake of it. Spiders and Wurm and Jaguars for Rangers Common ground balance, especially if some class is very below avarage. If Spiritshift claws or Fury spark is much worse than monk fist, or legendary weapon maybe do something about it. Ydwin is life, Ydwin is love. Generally create 10min text for each sidekick. Unless you really hate this sidekick , then no. Good old dungeon crawl under Neketaka sewers and catacombs. Diplomacy is nice, but i want to kill something. On Veteran/PotD more agressive enemy progression with levels (more ACC, Def, HP, DMG, Stats) but not exacly The WALL on Maje island. Boots, capes, belts, rings, trinkets? Secondary equipment tab for cosmetic skins (just look, no mechanical effect) like in MMO Some grimoires with heavier dedication to school or elements or role. Spark and Fire is nice, but many look very random. More class (combos) for companions, like 6. Keep up good work.
  24. Do you have some comparison to legendary boomsticks of doom? Dont know what is top tool now. Double Modwyr? Magran Flavour? As long as monk fist are just another legendary weapon nothing to see here. 2H sticks... they deserve better.
  25. 1000 chaps is statistically representive sample. PotD players could be desrived as "dedicated & recuring" so they will probably buy DLC or support future games. Even if you played Devoted/Monk (probably the hardest nerfs) it is still viable combo. It is important to have all difficulty levels from story mode to unfair mode, to cover different player groups. Natural players probably havent read patch notes and will just figure new things out in the fly. I think there is a bigger problem, that we have pleanty of cool named talents, which are not very good unless you are going full flavour.
