  1. the problem with a lot of combinations is always balancing because nerving is usually based around the most insane combo-synergy you can build which might not represent at all 99% of the possible combinations or builds...so you might nerve one thing to normal and at the same time nerve 50 other builds to sub-par I think some nerfs are warranted but imo they overdid it instead of slightly adapting stuff and go from there they came with the big hammer (which always irritates me, how can it be that you need to nerf something that hard and didn't see the issue beforehand) what annoys me the most is that flames of devotion was nerved - again - as it was already nerved in the beta...i can not get over that one for sure
  2. my gut tells me they already prepared some dlc stuff as appeasement policy because they knew they had to release the game before the final iteration / balancing could take place....its the same as brining some flower when going home drunk to your wife
  3. the principi and valians arent necessarily friends with them depends which principi and valians you side with in the end
  4. would be cool to get some interesting companions as you said - an ogre - a ranger with a talking imp as pet - an undead or fampyr one that makes constantly puns about being undead - a druid that can spirit shift into a drake - ...
  5. so in the video Josh says they will potentially buff tricksters and illusionists...so i thought we could start a discussion what might be useful buffs for them that make sense that might also give the devs some idea?
  6. #saveflamesofdevotion which is on the way to one of the ****tier abilities comparing it to barbaric smash, penetrating strike or the new buffed rogue skills.... wanted to do another playthrough but ill guess ill wait a couple months after everything is said and done
  7. the cone does apply sickened to all targets hit with black flames of devotions - i tested this... but its really difficult to hit more than 2 enemies in a "stanard non constructed combat scenario" to be honest
  8. the constant flames of devotion nerfs are really ruining my devotion for the game
  9. i played a rational stoic character and this didn't seem to impact companions a lot...if you for example play a bleak walker who is cruel and aggressive - does this have an impact on companions?
  10. Has anyone tried that and can define how it works exactly? At least according to the console there is a function. Does it also completly set all the necesary skills, bonus, malus etc.? https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Console_command Would be really interesting for a new playthrough to set sub classes for example for eder or aloth, rekke etc... setsubclass Allows you to set the specific subclass of the named character. use FindGameData to get the exact string. [Name] [Class] [subclass]
  11. But i assume it works when a companion wears it? It seems to be strongly geared towards the main character wearing it
  12. So i assume the max nr of companion reputation you can get is +5/-5 same as with the factions? While it is quite easy to get to +5 for faction reputation this seems really tricky for companions. Does companion reputation towards you only depend on your own action or also the companion composition? Which companions do get a long well and which don't? It seems serafen gets a long with nearly everyone well.... Eder and Xoti like one another Aloth doesn't like anyone Pallegina disslikes Tekehu Tekehu disslikes Maia I am looking for like a party composition where everyone gets along well....
  13. honestly i thought cipher before was at best "ok" not great...most of the good cipher abilities come very late and are single cipher only... a multiclass cipher has very few good buffs...now even fewer after the changes - basically you have whispers of treason and borrowed instincts and not a lot of good passives.... before i thought cipher was okay...now i think they are just unappealing. Cipher was my favorite class in POE1 cause its "new and fresh" but i am having the hardest time finding any use for them now besides spamming whispers of treason take away whispers of treason and time parasite - what do you have left?
  14. *cries* Okay, so not worth worrying about pumping Int then? Got it. Helps also with durations so def useful....but as ravager u also need const, might and especially perception...dont think dex is as important as you get a lot of speed buffs
  15. Keep in mind that aoe damage vs priority target might often clash with one another as mage tend to stay often a bit separate and further away than the melees.... what might help is leap - skill or the boots that give it - to get there fast....tough a ravager is usually good at flanking but not so good at being flanked
  16. Its not the end of days but it just feels undirected and shotgun style targeting everything that "feels" like a big nr whiöe at the same time not buffing bad stuff in dire need....tjey should have only nerved the extreme, buffed that bad and buffed the enemies....but PLEASE dont just buff enemy resistances....otherwise you might as well change the name to pillars of perception....
