  1. So assuming i like variety and want to switch things up as much as possible and i would like to play a cipher that can be ranged or start ranged and then switch into melee...(im playing on normal, sometimes hard so i dont have to min max to infinity).... Im probably thinking about medium armor, trying to keep talents/abilities as open as possible my questions tough are should i bother uping dexterity at the cost of might/perception since most powers are fast anyway? The other big question i cant decide is if for such a build, should i choose weapon focus ruffian for the bb/pistol and sabres dualwield combo or rather adventurer for the warbow + estoc/blade of endless paths combo? The first probably makes more sense for that initial big hit from guns before switching to melee? Thanks & Cheers
  2. well sure, but dont forget the most effort takes asset creation which should be a smaller task for the second game... wasnt fallout new vegas done in 12-18 months? well im gonna dream.... tyranny late 16 tyranny expansion 1 early 17, 2 mid 17 pillars 2 late 17 ) ) )
  3. It seems every companion has a unique color selection for his clothing - unfortunatly it is lost as soon as you switch to another color...is there any way to revert back to the original coloring?
  4. I am wondering, i think the most ressource intense item when developing a game - afaik is creating the assets.... This should be slightly less expensive i assume with such a game since the environment is painted and the graphics fidelity isnt "incredibly" high (nor has it to be)...moreover the assets are probably already there - at least to some extent... How long do you think the development of pillars 2 will take? It took around 2.5 Years for pillars one? So i guess Pillars 2 will take less time? Maybe we might see it until end of 2017? Would be very nice to get an obsidian rpg every year )
  5. dunno, i think that was around from the beginning - there is a similar command to alter the hired companions...which is like open character creation new companion or something...i just tried it and shortened it and it worked )
  6. offtank has the advantage that you can use a 2h weapon, your flames of devotion making some damage and therefore being usefull besides the protection spell - then you can also use the triumph skill...this way with lay on hands and the zealous endurance you would have 4 defense enhancing skills...sure your loosing out on the oathsworn buckler...but i kinda like paladin builds with greatswords better than with s&s right now im playing a kind wayfarer with a 2h who heals so much through his special skills that i never need lay on hands nor has my priest anything to do.... something like this to keep the overall "defense theme" maybe flames of devotion, shielding flames, zealous endurance, deep flames, lay on hands, shielding touch, inspiring triump, weapon focus, reinforcing exhortion, 2 handed fighting, healing chain, scion of falmes, sacred immolation statwise i probably just pump everything into might, intelligence and resolve...either 16/16/16 and the rest at 10 or pumping perception a bit up like 15/15/15/13
  7. you will either need the iroll20s command first or the iemod... but so far everything worked
  8. I just wanted to post this cause i havent found a way to do it for quite some time - might also be that everyone knew this except me ) but you can completly alter your character with the console command "oppencharactercreation" - which basically lets you restart the complete character creation including appearance... you will have to to get the xp back to the level where you were previously and potentially add any skills/attributes bonuses or talents you picked up on the way with the other respective console commands...which are mostly on the wiki http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Console_command just wanted to post this cause i wanted to change my class/race/appearance mid game, didnt know how to do it and just replayed 15 hours lol...
  9. I have the problem that altough i meet the level rquirements according to the wiki and i have installed both expansions, i cant choose the wm2 talents/skills on level up? I just reached lvl 5 on my fighter an overbearing guard / fearless are nowehere to be seen - i can choose all the others tough... Do i have to start or play certain parts of wm to be able to choose these abilties (which would be weird since they start at lvl 5)..? thanks
  10. just tested this again - i walk into a room, full party, player character is third in line - various oozes in the room - tank attacks first - EVERY ooze targets my player character with their shot? why is that? the mechanic is really retarded - if i knew that i would have made her a tank...?
  11. On what does it depend who the enemy targets first? I thought maybe its who attacks the enemy first - but - fighting currently orgers - they ALWAYS attack my player character - even if the tank engaged them first - as soon as my character is in reach they attack her...why is that? Is it stat dependent? My character has one of the highest resolves of the team - is that it?
  12. I installed the IE Mode (first time, i used the latest version on nexus respectively with the updated dll file that was suggested in the posts there). Everything seems to work as long as i use "standard" commands or the options in the menu... But what i actually wanted to do is respec some characters - when i try that i always get the message "Command not found" - altouhg im following the exact instructions from ie mod (e.g. first find character then changeclass etc...) Is it not working anymore? or Did the command change? thanks a lot
  13. I looked a bit for that but didnt find a good thread - whats the consensus on "faster" weapons vs "more damage reduction"? are faster weapons gonna be useless later in the game due to higher armored enemies and you should focus more on slower hard hitting weapons or are enemies varied and both is viable? Im especially looking at the flail for example...
  14. I cant decide if i want to play through the game as a priest of magran or a priest of eothas... its gonna be a bit of everything, a buffer/healer but also fire damage dealer (that i want to focus on with scion of flame etc.) and also want to be able to dish out some damage or at least hold my own in melee (i dont care about min max i just want to have the most versatile character) So eothas has a flail which attacks fast but hasnt high dr, but there are some decent flails... magran has the whole fire theme down and sword which despite being a bit boring (and i dunno about good swords in the game for a priest) has a bit higher dr and 2 damage types as well as a melee option which i like (tough dunno how useful since spells).... What would you recommend me? Is there a lore or story reason that makes a bit difference when choosing one or the other? Are flails gonna be useless later on because they are low dr or do they fit nicely due to speed cause a priest has usually higher dex? thx
