what i like about the idea of a chanter/paladin is that you get a lot of gorup support, healing and tanking all at the same time, possibly crowd controll, which means it opens up the other spots to take whoever you want...i dont really care about my main and more about taking the coolest companions with me without having to worry about composition.... and those new companions look really sweet with their own specializations...i love that

what im wondering for troubadour or beckoner if i should go with a goldpact knight or a kind wayfarer... the heal from kwf is nice but companions need to be in range...while the goldpact ability seems really useful because sworn enemiy/rival is really good and usually every enemy group contains often one "big guy" and this would make you more tanky but at the same time it doesn't benefit the group

Speak for yourself, my Watcher is far from boring But aside from that, how are they supposed to write a narrative that can be told without the pivotal character being present? I have most of my companion builds already planned, but still kinda on the fence about Xoti and Maia. Geomancer looks to be pretty fun but Maia just seems to be a way, way better Ranger. As for Xoti, as someone else already mentioned, I honestly doubt the multiclass is worth losing out on faster access to the high level priest spells - but I guess I'll just have to wait and see how that turns out. well a lot of rpg do that...where you play a defined character...the witcher for example...i dont see the issue
