Multiclassing a paladin tank (and party composition in general)
what i like about the idea of a chanter/paladin is that you get a lot of gorup support, healing and tanking all at the same time, possibly crowd controll, which means it opens up the other spots to take whoever you want...i dont really care about my main and more about taking the coolest companions with me without having to worry about composition.... and those new companions look really sweet with their own specializations...i love that

Paladins seem pretty strong as Main Protagonist. What would you build?
guess magran could be nice due to fire if you can get it to work

bleak walker might work well as well since the corrode damage is there as well...might get issues due to behaviors... i think priest of magran might work as well due to all the fire damage

Priests / Paladins dispositions
Does the disposition system still work the same as in pillars 1 and are the favored/dissliked behaviors still the same for priests and paladins?

Who is playing on the 8th?
Nemesis7884 replied to daven's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)i hate that they stick to this stupid old outdated release schedule of releasing on a tuesday...releasing games on a friday would be sooooo much better for everyone

What multiclasses have you played with so far?
apparently paladins dont have negative drawbacks anymore so gold pact can have auras

Pillars 1 decision when not having played the game?
Nemesis7884 replied to Nemesis7884's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)so not only templates but you can decide in detail the important decisions? I really like that...might want to change a few things

Pillars 1 decision when not having played the game?
So when you played for example pillars 1 on a different platform then youre going to play pillars 2 - will you get an option to make your choices at the beginning of pillars 2 that carry over from 1 or will it just assume "default" choices?

the only thing that concerns me a bit about a beckoner-paladin build is that it kinda shoehorns you into that specific build and you'll do the same for every fight -> summon -> flames -> summon -> flames etc... not sure if that doesn't get boring over 100 hours

Multiclassing a paladin tank (and party composition in general)
hmm ok, any experience on the gold pact skill or the other paladins?

Multiclassing a paladin tank (and party composition in general)
This is really impossible to answer since it depends on what you personally want to do. well im more asking about what beta players felt more useful...maybe the wayfarer heal is so low or the range so short its not practical or the armor bonus from gold pact so little that its not worth it....

Multiclassing a paladin tank (and party composition in general)
what im wondering for troubadour or beckoner if i should go with a goldpact knight or a kind wayfarer... the heal from kwf is nice but companions need to be in range...while the goldpact ability seems really useful because sworn enemiy/rival is really good and usually every enemy group contains often one "big guy" and this would make you more tanky but at the same time it doesn't benefit the group

which is kinda weird since they both seem to love acid

What are the best builds for companions?
Speak for yourself, my Watcher is far from boring But aside from that, how are they supposed to write a narrative that can be told without the pivotal character being present? I have most of my companion builds already planned, but still kinda on the fence about Xoti and Maia. Geomancer looks to be pretty fun but Maia just seems to be a way, way better Ranger. As for Xoti, as someone else already mentioned, I honestly doubt the multiclass is worth losing out on faster access to the high level priest spells - but I guess I'll just have to wait and see how that turns out. well a lot of rpg do that...where you play a defined character...the witcher for example...i dont see the issue

Multiclassing a paladin tank (and party composition in general)
That means all paladins have no longer any negative effects as listed in the wiki? Hhhh then i guess i have to decide between a troubadour gold pact and a kind wayfarer beckoner

Can you heal your summons (Beckoner/Kind Wayfarer question)
Can you heal your summons? Can skeletons also be healed (or not cause they are undead)? If i have a kind wayfarer using flames of devotion - would that also heal my summons?
