  1. There are only so many CRPGS. Beggars can't be choosers. I didn't buy IWD2. I didn't buy BG2. I didn't buy POR2. I don't buy every D&D RPG.
  2. Fan content is just as good, if not better for Morrowind. So that's even. Yet Morrowind's engine is better. Morrowind's toolset is better. Morrowind's campaign was better. Morrowind's world was better. NWN has but one advantage, online play.
  3. Online activation is the way to go. It discourages large numbers of pirates, yet it doesn't require SafeDisc or any type of protection that forces me to play off disc, or slow down gameplay.
  4. NWN was innovatinve. That doesn't make it one of the best RPGs of all time. Plenty of other games innovated greatly, yet were far more enjoyable RPGs. Morrowind had a better toolset, and a better single player campaign that NWN. Morrowind had a better engine as well.
  5. Thanks. I'm digging it too, and I get TONS of lock-ups during loading.
  6. A new engine from scratch can easily take 2-3 years. If they simply license a newer engine (like Unreal, Source, etc) they could have KOTOR:3 out in a little over a year (from the time development starts). But even that is an early estimate.
  7. 6 hours to a lightsaber? I play fairly rapidly. At 10 hours I'm now heading down to the surface of Telos.
  8. Swoop racing is more difficult, and I doubt that has anything to do with platform. KOTOR:2 general area is probably most appropriate. I like the changes to swoop racing. Now, if only we raced against an opponent.
  9. I never get to play as a player since I'm always being begged to run games for other people. Someone offered to run a D&D game for me. I conceeded.
  10. 4 great BIO games? Such as?
  11. Arcanum also made the list, but I'm not objecting to that. But IWD, NWN and ToEE make the list while the Ultima series, Arx Fatalis, Gothic, KOTOR, Wizardry, Might and Magic, Bards Tale, Nethack, System Shock, Deus Ex, Zork, Starflight, Krondor, Elder Scrolls, Dungeon Master, Wasteland, Eye of the Beholder, and many, many other important RPGs are missing from the list. Fallout and IWD actually get two entires on the list.
  12. Blizzard has the capital to take that risk. That's their call. Either way, I don't think companies are out of line for what they charge for an MMO, especially Blizzard. I've heard nothing but good things about WoW. Most MMO's launch with bugs, lag, and general pains in the butt. Blizzard paid lots of money upfront for far more GMs and servers than they believed they needed. They wanted to protect the initial investments of launch players. That says something.
  13. Sourcebooks should be springboards for your personal stories, not gospel to be adhered to.
  14. D&D makes me want to cry.
  15. The Ring is far from one of the most psychological movies of all time. I honestly believe I've written at least three scripts with more psychological depth than The Ring. The Ring was surreal, creepy, and screwed up. But psychological depth is another thing.
  16. Not only did Blizzard have to pay for the cost of development, but many of those initial accounts were beta testers on free accounts. How much does Blizzard pay in marketing? How much does Blizzard pay to GMs? How much does Blizzard pay in tech support? How much does Blizzard pay for bandwidth? How much of the $15 really hits Blizzard's bank accounts?
  17. Roshan needs to be flogged for even including ToEE while leaving out many truly great RPGs.
  18. Obisidian has Black Isle games to demonstrate for their capabilities. PS:T demonstrates their potential. Huge maps can be both good and bad. I've never seen a truly great Bioware game. I've seen a few truly great Black Isle games. I'll go with the Black Isle alumns.
  19. I agree with your sentiment, but I also think this should go in a KOTOR area.
  20. I just can't fathom any of this. For those that believe in prayer, now would be a good time.
  21. Damn fine episode.
  22. Can cyborg's have sex change operations?
  23. Or you ambush people on their wedding day, and steal their wedding dress. Ninja > bride.
  24. Not at all. Idiocy is derived from idoloty, meaning the worship on an idol. He's saying people worship yeah. Yeah, that's the ticket.
  25. Sarah's PC is getting pretty ugly as the Dark Side rots her.
