  1. KOTOR:3 might be a good 2-3 years to develop if they create a new engine from the ground-up. But if 3 will be the last KOTOR, why create a new engine? Just license a better one. Create a new engine for a line of games.
  2. I agree that the only challenge in KOTOR:1 was beating Bendak as a level 2 character.
  3. With every single Ultima game you played the same character. And you know what, you always started over at level 1. No one bitched that the Avatar lost his powers. It was accepted that you needed to start over for game balance reasons. Ultima IV-V-VI did allow you to transfer a charcter if you really wanted to keep your level, but in those games, power wasn't that important. The Exile is also a powerful war general who starts at level 1 despite his past. You get over it. The MOST IMPORTANT factor in a game is not realism. It's having fun.
  4. Personally, I don't think the mods all have the same views on which topics belong in which forums. I've also noticed that one mod will delete a post, or find a post in violation of forum rules while another won't. People have been anti-Obsidian openly on these boards and no one censored them. People have been anti-Bioware openly on these boards and no one censored them. People have been anti-moderators openly on these boards and no one censored them. I've even seen people blast Feargus and go out of their way to antagonize mods and try to get banned. There isn't a lot of censorship here. The best way to get a thread deleted is to bash other companies, to tell you the truth.
  5. You are correct. Iridonian and Zabrak are synonymous.
  6. That's Yub-Yub, and the yub-yub song went with the special editions. I miss the yub-yub song.
  7. Paladins are balanced by their "severe" roleplaying limitations. if you don't think "lawful good" is a limitation, you're not playing it right <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not a big fan of the alignment system. I really prefer morality path systems.
  8. I can understand the most complicated rules systems. That doesn't mean I have to like them. Cross-referencing charts and looking up tables is not fun. The less the rules get in the way of the story, and staying in-character, the better.
  9. The Fallout narrator, Ron Perlman wins.
  10. I just saw a bluetooth enabled USB pen drive on sale with a range of 100 meters.
  11. Even better. The Mayan, Aztec and Egyptian calendars all ended in like 2014. May 2014 or something like that. They kept fairly accurate star charts and calendars, light years ahead of the rest of the world. NASA found a huge asteroid that will be passing by earth at that time, but gave only a 1% chance that it would hit earth. You can't make this stuff up.
  12. HHGG is an all time classic, no doubt about that.
  13. Only by reading poetry over a loudspeaker.
  14. Well the Volourn's gender thread got deleted. I can start a Darque gender thread... And from what I understand, Darque hadn't played FF8, and didn't know who Selphie was. She just liked the picture.
  15. Wow. I can't even begin to imagine.
  16. Except Barbie Fashion Rancher.
  17. Welcome to the forums. I recommend you pick up Planescape: Torment.
  18. Anyone who has played WoW has said it may be the best MMORPG made to date. Warcraft 3 had lots of fan inputs, and plenty of patches. They support their games well.
  19. How evil. You'll make a fine Sith someday.
  20. Ewan appeared naked in many of his early films. Sarah especially seemed to enjoy Velvet Goldmine.
  21. Now I'm picturing the Postman. Good book. Decent movie.
  22. Yes. Sarah's working her way up. Right now she shuffles her feet on carpet and shocks me.
  23. The XBox and PS2 each have ten-twenty good games for every good Gamecube game. The GC does have a few good games, but overall it's not that great of a system. And several of the GC games expect you to link a SP.
  24. The XBox has a total of 64 megs of ram. But it has basically no operating system or overhead. (Technically it runs on a Windows CE kernel, but that's practically non-existant).
  25. I wouldn't expect it to open up until we closer to launch.
