It wasn't just the marketing department. The dev team said for years that Fable was going to be revolutionary. It has become an after thought this year.

Do you still own a copy? If you didn't, I'd buy you one. After all, you put up with all our sh|t all the time.

Facist has similiar connotations without being nearly as offensive to some people. Or you can just say "pain in the a$$". I know I'm one.

I apparently missed it. But my Star Wars fanaticism died largely with Episode 1 and the NJO.

Geforce 6600GT or Geforce 6800GT?

If you want to shell out top dollar for SLI and multiple video cards, then why use a Pentium 4 processor that performs poorly in games? I have to assume a rig with SLI is a gaming rig, and the Athlon 64 will give you better performance for less money. -
this game went wrong terribly wrong...

I love the ESB feel. I'm early in the game, so we'll see if they failed at it or not. -
That's actually VERY Star Wars. Lucas was just defending the cannon of the EU on his website. He's introducing an EU character into Episode 3, and starting a tv show post Return of the Jedi where Luke will train new Jedi. While they won't be directly using hte plots of the books, the tv show will stick within the cannon of the EU novels. Within the EU, Luke is the Last of the Jedi, but there are Jedi in hiding, and Jedi waiting to be training around the universe. And in the history of Star Wars, both the Jedi and Sith have been hunted to near extinction before. If there are tons and tons of Jedi, it's harder for one Jedi to be the most important in the Galaxy. If they did that, they'd just be copying the theme/plot of Episode 3. I'd rather not see it.

This is the same dead French dude who said he'd defend to the death your right to say what he didn't agree with. It's not a paradox. I can defend a right that I don't necessarily agree with. And I assumed you were trolling, so I'm not really upset. I'm just playing along.

Seriously. In the Genesis game there are six locations on a map. I go to my Fixer, and he randomly generates one of four possible quests, such as pick-up, kill, escort, or something else. I walk around this really small map and shoot at things. Then I get karma and another randomly generated quest. It was like a precursor to Diablo, with much nicer RPG mechanics behind it.
-
The Genesis game had good mechanics. Too bad the plot was boring, and gameplay tedious. The SNES had a decent plot.

There is no real clear definition for a cRPG. I've seen people argue for ages what is and what isn't an RPG. After playing GTA:SA, I was pleasantly shocked with how much I could affect the world around me. I can even "tag" graffiti over someone else's graffiti to try and convert gang territory. Diablo is called an RPG. GTA:SA isn't called an RPG by any means. I just think one could argue that GTA:SA has more RPG elements. Am I suggeting that GTA:SA is an RPG, or am I suggesting that Diablo isn't an RPG? I'm not. I'm posing the question to you rather than lecturing myself.

I've played it. Too bad the game featured twitchy arcade combat, random generated quests that equated to moving around a small map and interacting with cardboard-cutout NPCs. Decking and magic were handled INCREDIBLY well for an old Genesis game. If you took half the Genesis game and merged it with the SNES game, you'd have a great Shadowrun game.

Judging from Candide, Voltaire didn't dig guns. Neither do I. You may have missed that. However, you're not pointing out a flaw in my logic. You are either by mistake, or trolling, trying to twist my logic. I said we temper democracy and freedom against each other. You went off saying my logic suggested we have nothing but total logic. That's misquoting me, intentional or not. And I corrected you.

KOTOR 2 Game Disc Difference
EnderAndrew replied to appealingtoast's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That bug usually happens when people play the game off that HDD. If you're playing it off the HDD, lemme tell you that doesn't work. -
Thanks, even if it doesn't seem so happy at the moment.
-
Very true. Shadowrun could be implemented since there are "specific" spells.

Reread my original statement. You're saying by my logic we should all have total freedom to do whatever we want. That's anarchy. And while some may argue that anarchy is good enough to be law, that isn't the case. Occassionally democracy steps in, and says the majority gets to determine a baseline for social morals. Where do we draw the line for where freedoms are protected? The Bill of Rights covers that. And the 14th Ammendment covers it as well. The 14th Ammendment doesn't directly mention victimless crimes, but it says in principle that we shouldn't pass laws that remove basic freedoms. Basic freedoms can be interpretted to victimless crimes (since there is no crime without a victim) and those rights specifically mentioned in the Bill of Rights. Along those lines, I stand up for the 2nd ammendment even though I dislike guns. The purpose of the Bill of Rights, is that even though we disagree with each other, we protect each other's basic rights. Kinda like what that dead French dude said.

NWN:2 is given a much healthier time table.

Well, you can get military grade pistols and rifles, including the M16. And they give out prescription drugs like Secanol which are just as hard as any street drug. It's not hard to get them. Go to a doctor and request them. The 2nd Ammendment of the Constitution guarantees your rights to guns, despite the fact that guns serve no purpose other than ending life. Drugs are a touchy and complicated issue. But as it is, alcohol, cigarettes and prescription drugs are legal. And considering that in many places, drug laws aren't really enforced. You can smoke pot on the streets of Santa Cruz in front of cops. The cannibus club will prescribe it for you. Now do you want to hear how all my family members are drug addicts, how it has ruined their lives, and how drugs have led to other criminal charges in every single one of their lives? I love it when people try to tell me that drugs don't have victims.

I have no shame. I mean, no shame. I don't have a cross-dressing fetish, but I don't really have a good objection to wearing a slave girl's outfit save for the fact that I can't fill out the top. A few months ago, this rather hot girl told me I could take off all her clothes if I put them on. (She had been making out with and stripping Sarah until she got sick from too much Vodka). So, I stripped her, and put on her clothes. This was on my front porch.
