  1. This is not intended. The mouse scroll wheel should only affect the UI interface you are currently working within. Could you see if you can attach a save file with the issue? I don't believe this is part of our database yet and it appears that it is not affecting everyone, so there are likely steps to cause it to occur. Save files should be located at: C:\Users\ (USER NAME) \AppData\LocalLow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity\Saves This is related to a known issue that is caused by saving the game. If you save the game, your scroll will will begin to scroll our ambient map effects as well as the fog of war. Transitioning or loading a game should fix this. Thank you all for your continued efforts during the backer beta!
  2. Hello Scorch, Thank you for your posting. This is a persistence issue that we are aware of and should be resolved in one of our future updates.
  3. Hello cdx, Thank you for your posting. We are aware of this issue and it is being evaluated by our programmers for a solution. You should see the bug resolved in one of our future updates. I hope you are enjoying the backer beta and thank you for your continued support!
  4. Hello fr0sty, Thank you for your feedback. This is currently an issue that we are aware of. Our Scouting Mode system is still being polished and will likely have a mild overhaul sometime in the near future which prevents this. As for the zooming issue, this is also known and related to saving and loading the game. This issue should be resolved in one of our next updates as this is one of our higher priority bugs. Thank you for your posting and support during the backer beta!
  5. Hello LepusUmbrae, Thank you for your feedback. This is currently an issue that we are aware of. Our Scouting Mode system is still being polished and will likely have a mild overhaul sometime in the near future which prevents this. Thank you for your posting and support during the backer beta!
  6. Hello Sammael, Thank you for your posting and for providing your system specifications. This is an issue that is known to us and appears to be related to an error in loading assets properly. While we have seen this issue before, it is very helpful to have more information to supplement our bug reports. I will make sure this information is added to our database. Thank you for your continued support during the backer beta!
  7. Hello everyone, Thank you for your continued support during the beta. The issue described above is a persistence issue directly related to save/load. We are working towards a resolution and should have a fix for this in a future beta update. Thanks!
  8. Hello PrimeHydra, Thank you for your posting. We are well aware of this issue and will be providing a fix in a future update. I hope you are enjoying the beta and thank you for your support!
  9. Hello kavvov, This is caused by an issue where you cannot drop an item into the stash icon when it is being held by the mouse. There likely should also be a fail safe implemented to cause items to snap back to their locations when the stash is closed with an item being held. We are aware of the issue and I will work with our UI programmer to ensure that this bug is resolved in a future update. Thank you for your posting and support during the backer beta!
  10. Hello PrimeHydra, Fortunately we are aware of this issue and are working towards a resolution for future updates. Thank you for your post and your support during the backer beta!
  11. Hello Backers, First, let me thank you for all the tremendous help and feedback that you are providing in the backer beta thus far. We greatly appreciate it! This particular issue has been on our radar for some time and is intended to be a feature that we implement in the game. As someone who both personally and professionally utilizes dual monitors on a daily basis, I consider this feature to be more of a bug due to the standards of expectation we have for modern games. That being said, we have many issues of severity that also need to be dealt with. So, while I would expect this feature to be implemented, we might need to learn to make do without it in the meantime. (At least for some of the beta) Please note that the middle mouse button as well as the arrow keys, or option to change these controls via key bindings are also available as an alternative. Thank you again for your wonderful support!
  12. Hello Garm, Fortunately we are well aware of this issue and it is one of our higher priorities in finding a resolution before the next update. The bug occurs when any of the BB party members are permanently defeated and removed from the party and then you return to Dyrford Village. When this happens, the defeated party members will return to your party and often either overwrite the party position of another party member or sometimes cause positioning issues with the entire party. We are working hard to ensure that this bug is fixed asap. Thank you for your assistance in the backer beta!
  13. Hello wickermoon, I believe this issue is by design as the only skill values that are taken into account during dialogue will be those of the player character. Companions thus benefit from skills in their other means, which in the case of lore would be the ability to populate the bestiary at an accelerated rate. They also can still utilize their skills in the Scripted Interactions you will find throughout the game. As for the steam picture links, I will speak with Brandon Adler and see if we can find a way to allow these links to be embedded if possible. Thank you for your posting and assistance in the beta!
  14. Hello Natusake, Thank you for your posting. Fortunately we are aware of this issue with formations and are working towards a fix for future updates. Each row on the formation screen is currently shifted from the row above and below it. By compensating for this, you should be able to create formations that are closed to the desired format. At least, until the issue is resolved. Thank you for your feedback and assistance in the backer beta!
  15. Hello Maviarab, It appears that the BB Priest in the screenshot has been victim of bug that causes the character to play their attack animation after combat has ended. This is a semi-frequent and known minor issue that should correct itself during your next combat. We are working hard to ensure that this bug is fixed in future updates. As for their lack of participation in your combat with the Wood Beetle, I will look into the cause for this. Perhaps the beetle was defeated very quickly and BB Priest did not have time to respond. Thank you greatly for your posting and assistance in the backer beta!
  16. Hello Sekrin, Fortunately we are well aware of this issue and working on a resolution. Thank you for your posting and I hope you are enjoying the beta experience!
  17. Hello, I am sorry to hear that your quest progress was lost. We are currently working on a known issue where loading a save file from within a game will cause all quests in the journal to be lost. Once these quest values are lost, the experience for the quests is not properly granted. However, if you load the same save from the title screen you should still have all of your journal information. If this is not the issue you are experiencing please let us know, otherwise we are working hard to provide a fix to this issue before the next update. Thank you tremendously for your posting!
  18. Thank you all so much for your feedback. The bug we are currently resolving is the same as what you are experiencing. The issue is caused by creating a Ranger player character and hiring any adventurer at Dengler. We are working hard to ensure that this is fixed before the next update. Thank you all for posting, your feedback is incredibly helpful!
  19. Hello, We are looking further into this issue to be certain of its cause. We have a known bug with the same results where the player character is a Ranger and hires an adventurer. Once the party leaves the Inn the hired adventurer will be stuck inside the Inn and off of the Nav. If this bug is occurring without a Ranger in the party, please let us know. Thank you.
  20. Hello Dan Dirik, There is currently a known bug with scrolling being at varied speeds depending on the map size. For most maps using the middle mouse button to pan the camera works very well. Though on some larger maps, such as Stormwall Gorge, scrolling is a noticeable issue and works best with the arrow keys. We should have a resolution to this problem soon, as we would like all forms of camera control to be equal in their use. Thank you for your posting!
  21. Hello taviow, This is an issue that has already been resolved and should be fixed in our next update. It is not our interest to have the party attack eachother, though still be wary of friendly fire via misplaced Fireballs! Thank you for your posting.
  22. Hello Tartantyco, This is currently a known issue that is being handled by our programmers. Thank you for your posting!
  23. Hello Sekrin, This is currently a known issue. The UI for the key bindings interface should be receiving some polish in a future update. Thank you for your posting!
  24. Hello Apatia, I have added these two issues to the database and we will have them resolved in a future update. Thank you for your posting!
  25. Hello C2B, This is currently a known issue caused by killing the target with a single blow. It should be resolved in a future update. The additional bug with NPC's standing back up after death is also currently being handled by a developer. Thank you for posting!
