  1. That is touching. We need more decent people like that in the Deadfire. It's important to care about children and family. Almost exactly what I did for my Principi supporting character. The differences were that I supported the Dozens (simply because I had supported the Doemenels in a previous playthrough), killed Adaryc and Harmke and I spared one of Concelhaut's apprentices. It might be a good idea to spare people or aim for the breastplate if you are not sure you'll play Deadfire another time. Otherwise, just do what feels right for your character in the moment. I was satisfied with my choices' reaction in Deadfire and I think your choices will be good too. Mandatory. This is the reason I'll use the legacy editor on every other pt I ever do. The only character I had that ended up with Vela is the one I'm playing now and I want to have her with the others if I ever play with them.
  2. Well, it seems almost everyone in Eora wants to do "the right thing". Even Thaos thought he was doing "the right thing". Yes, everyone wants it. They would be a bunch of bffs, except for the fact that each person has a different definition of "the right thing".
  3. There was also that quest in the White March involving Bleak Walkers. They kind of forced a contract to kill some people, but my Bleak Walker had the option to say that that was beneath their order and the other Bleak Walker should just drop the whole thing. Yeah, and thankfully my character would have been a Barbarian or a Rogue in the first game. So, no reason to go for the massacre option right off the bat. And you can always make an exception. Maybe there is one or two things that your Bleak Walker sees differently and would influence how they act. Realistically, not everyone will stick 100% of the time to their expected behavior.
  4. Is there already a mod that allows every class to select "deep pockets" in the ability tree? If there isn't I'll submit a request.
  5. I'm playing with a "low" resolve ( and I don't think I'm missing much, but my character is shady/clever, so I don't care much about being a coward or not being able to resist cyphers or convince people.
  6. This was a very nice surprise for me. I killed the dragon but didn't save the game because it was very late and I had to go to sleep, so I skipped the dialogue. Then when I played again I ended up convincing her to fight Rymrgand, so I thought I missed a fight. But teaching that idiot a lesson was much more satisfying. Not sure I'd risk a fight on TC solo though.
  7. The first time I played with the expansions I left some of Act II for later and it was ridiculously easy for my level. If you want to avoid making the game (too) easy, I suggest this order: - Act I - Act II until - White March I - Finish act II - Act III - White March II - Act IV For the Endless Path, just go as far as you can and return every time you gained two more levels. There will still be some areas too easy, but at least, if you follow this order, you'll be able to scale up acts III, IV and the expansions. And as others said above, do side quests first and be careful with that Dyrford quest. Edit: explained better what is "finish act II"
  8. I think he is happier as a pet. How can you enjoy Aedyran ale and candied nuts while you are busy with your students and metaphysical studies?
  9. Certainly. But it may depend on how well you know the game or in what difficulty you are playing. Give it a try and, if you lose, learn with your experience and try again.
  10. Priest spells come from their faith in "gods". I imagine that even a madman who believed that Korgrak, a Xaurip or the Miniature Giant Space Pig was a god might have some powers as a result, if he had enough faith. The "god" doesn't even have to acknowledge the existence of the priest for them to have spells. See what happened after the Godhammer exploded.
  11. My first character was a pale elf druid from the White That Wends. I really liked that combination. The second was a Death Godlike Bleak Walker who left the Living Lands after a murder. Another interesting combination, that proved very interesting for roleplaying.
  12. Yes, people were questioning the person. If this build requires quitting the game constantly to preserve the save, then it's really bad. I'm checking other builds but I think I'll stick to monk and try to make something inspired by this and the Monksterlasher. And your suggestion too. Thanks for answering!
  13. I use spells like rolling flame or lightning. But anything that has a good range will work.
  14. I'm still finishing Deadfire but I decided that after that I'll try to get the Ultimate achievement in PoE1 and I remembered seeing this build that looked interesting. I wonder if it is still viable or if something was nerfed in the latest patches. Basically it's a monk with Ryona's Breastplate and the Steadfast Sword, relying on the +20 accuracy and defense (when fighting against dragons) caused by the critical hits of the fear aura. And the sword will give you immunity to fear. https://steamcommunity.com/app/291650/discussions/0/144512875331853257/ I'm checking the Monksterlasher too, but I don't know if anyone used it for the Ultimate. There are notes for soloing in that built, which is very useful. I saw other builds with rogues or ciphers, but they look more difficult for the Ultimate. Am I right? The author of this build suggests running to the White March to level up fast and then do the bounties and dragons. I plan on playing the game once on easy just to remember what is the mandatory path and then try this or another build without trial of iron, so that I can test it and reload if necessary. After that I will go for the Ultimate. Thanks for any help.
  15. Haha definitely a benefit of sidekicks Exactly. Companions should be suspicious when we call Fassina, Konstanten and the other sidekicks for a mission. Edit: "Don't worry, Maia. This is just an obscure bounty on a remote island. It has nothing to do with the RTC. I guarantee."
  16. I haven't had him in my party all the time, but he is doing really well as a single class. And I think I'll keep him single class on my next playthrough too, but then I'll focus more on crowd control.
  17. Fassina never complained about my Watcher's shady business. I'm confident she won't mind how I deal with the circle on the DLC.
  18. Give it a nice name and imagine all the fools who will go there to visit.
  19. In Poe1, even as a Bleak Walker there were limits to how cruel I could be. Like when the chief asked me to kill a baby. My character lost all respect to the fool and decided to murder everyone involved (including the Ethik Nôl).
