  1. They've already said you can basically play the game from start to finish, but it's only in alpha/beta stage still. Just FYI.
  2. .... Honestly, I sympathize with Bioware. Not gonna happen. At least, not by starting ANOTHER thread like this one.
  3. Umm, I put "Hump a party member" just for the sheer eloquence and grace of the phrase. Honestly, how old do these things get? But seriously, I would go for story. I'm hyping MYSELF up for chrissake, (heh, Chris...) and a fair part of the reason I like the idea of a sequel is closure of the first story.
  4. Maybe they'll never give us a thing because of how important to the plot she is. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  5. Wow, we REALLY need active moderators here. ...anyway... Frankly, this JediMafia bashing is just stupid. Go take it out on a pillow or something, this is really pathetic. The game won't be horrible. It might not be what everyone would've wanted for a sequel in terms of basic improvements, but I'll be at the store with my money when it comes out. Doom 3 really isn't that different from the first two games, but it has far better graphics. For KotOR II, that's not something I want. A sequel like Half Life 2 would be nice, but it's not really necessary, and I wouldn't get it for quite a while longer anyway. If they're going to make one with lots of improvement, they still have plenty of time to do that. A sequel with newer graphics, physics, and whatever else isn't mutually exclusive of this less innovative sequel that we're going to get. I want, most of all, to continue the story I started - the sooner the better. Even so, this promises to be much more than one or two expansion pack's worth of content (which I probably would have bought). It is, despite using the same basic engine and programming, a completely separate, brand new game. Take it for what it is, not for what it could be.
  6. I vaguely remember something that stated/implied Atris wasn't the same as the queen. I'm too lazy too search for it, but maybe someone else isn't. In particular, I think they said, when someone noticed the queen or somesuch, that that was actually Atris. Anyway, I think it's a neat idea. She doesn't have to be an official "Jedi" to use the force and be good, either - she might've used holocrons, and perhaps she would be protecting the settlement on Onderon by fighting that guy. Whatever, I don't know. You get the basic idea. The ornate, white robes really fit the "lightside royalty" theory, anyway.
  7. The whole orthodox calendar thing was a joke. That's not why they consider Winter 2004 as including February 2005. If they said Winter 2005, it would mean december of next year to many. Regardless of what you're betting on, December hasn't been stated and might be iffy. Akari said at one point that, from how things sounded where he was, it seemed perfectly likely. He's not the publisher, though, mind you, but yes - there's a possibility. Maybe even a good possibility, but as it stands no one's stated for certain one way or another on the possible holiday release.
  8. They're only saying winter, and that's what they've insisted on. In other words, they haven't stated December, but it's still a possibility.
  9. It's been totally blasted into the ground that the female character at the end, the female character with blonde hair in the E3 demo, the blonde female in the screenshots in dark clothing and looking really pissed while crushing someone is a playable PC face. The proper, regardless of feminist revisionist nutcases, english way to refer to an indefinite third person is "he". It's been taught to me in english class for many, many years, and every last one of them was a self-respecting woman. It's also been explicitly stated, on a repeated basis, that it's not proper grammar to say "they". Feel free to say they, or womyn, or whatever... but it's not proper english, and considering what I've heard from the dev's about male/female PC's being a possibility, it looks like that's more or less their logic. And to extend, most PC/X-box game players are probably male, though perhaps in a slightly lower percentage than other genre's/games.
  10. Uhh.. they've said, and I've said, and OTHER people have said over and over again that the dev's are putting their product to Lucasarts at the same date, regardless of when LA decides to release it. When they send the product to LA, LA makes the sound. It looks like they've already started, which is a good thing. Also, all the assets are completed - they're just bug testing for the next few months until that's done. Worst case scenario: LA makes crappy sound and there are a few bugs. If you don't recall, the first game had some biggies as well...
  11. Maybe Y on X-Box/customized key on PC would allow you to change tiers. You switch over to the powers box and cycle, then press that button to change to the desired tier.
  12. Jedi Academy looks atrocious on x-box, just as a warning. That's really the only reason I was interested - the lightsaber fights, you know.
  13. Play nice, aggie k. ... He's talking about screenshot 1, anyway... look at the main site, because that's the one he's talking about.
  14. Remember the weapon cycle command? I'm not generally inclined to switch back and forth between weapons anyway once I have a lightsaber.
  15. 2: Are you talking about the ashy grey guy? I had the impression that was sion, with his one milky eye. If not, well... I'm not sure what you're talking about. 3: I agree, It looks like the blue robes from the first game. I think I saw the black robes from the first game as well. 1: For a moment I was thinking, "Hey, maybe that's why your character was exiled," but it's unlikely they'd model it in such detail, unless for some reason they have a dream, a sort of flashback.
  16. 'course, famous doesn't always mean good either I don't think lucas will "forget" music and voice acting, though they may totally destroy it in trying to make it seem kewl, if you know what I mean.
  17. That was never said. I did a search on both sites, hammered my eyes on every inch of the page... No where is chris even QUOTED on that, and if he were I'd doubt the validity of that individual quote. However, at the end of the X-box article it states this sequel stands a chance of having a better story in the original. I would certainly agree, no offense to those at Bioware...
  18. ... It's already been said they have to make a new character model to add robes, and the addition of hoods really hogs the memory for other possible improvements. How many times do you have to say this stuff? Oh well! It passes the time, right? heh heh heh heh heh......
  19. worst case scenario, LA screws up the sound. The date Obsidian hands it to LA won't change. How many times do you have to say these things?
  20. Considering he's going through pains to keep himself from falling to little bloody chunks, it sounds like a reasonable connection. Maybe not sinister, except for being a negative emotion.
  21. Exactly. Well, that pretty much sums up all of the second-rate tolkien-derived fantasy anyway. (No offense, I hope, to those who like such fantasy....)
  22. He'll be dead by then. Old age, ya know, and if not that... (Psst... Don't ask - you'll be conspirators.)
  23. I don't think vrook is quite as bad as he puts off - he seemed nice after I had completed all the quests, wishing me well in a pleasant-natured way. Though he's still a jackass and probably shouldn't be a Jedi Master for his extreme anger at using Revan. Still, I think his reasons were very specific - Jedi aren't used to letting Sith go free, despite their non-violent statutes. It just doesn't happen that often, so they don't have to think about it. At least, that's what I expect. Also, that description that someone put down from LA, I think - about Jedi Master's dead or fallen to the Dark Side - Maybe Vrook is one? He was the most unstable of the council on Dantooine, so if he survived, he's the most likely of that council, at least, to have fallen.
  24. That was probably the most annoying post I've been given, but I'll let it slide. Have I EVER continued arguments past their end point? No.
  25. I got used to it a lot faster on X-box than I did on PC, strangely - and I got an x-box a month or so ago. I think I've just been jinxed for first-person PC shooters though, not sure why - lack of practice or something. Yeah, this should be on another forum. Oh well. *smacks himself* I don't know. I really like them for different reasons. You can't spend quality time with friends on KotOR II, and that battle rifle looks mighty spiffy... I could do without the dual wielding, though.
