  1. Heh, I like "Fear Gus" better. Then his initials are "F-U". Coincidence? I think NOT. Sure, gamestop says that - everyone says that. If you look at the new interview at RPGvault, it mentions that they're about at the end of the alpha stage - the assets are almost all completed, to give way to months of bug testing. Just depends on how many bugs they have at this point. Also, from what they said it sounds like they're more concerned with getting it done than getting something out the door on time. Ah yes, and congratulations on the summation of the daily life in Obsidian Can we get confirmation on this, though? I'm not sure I believe the part about an "office manager" or "payroll" yet. I thought dev's didn't necessarily function off of food or sleep while they were developing a game/ Being with the mind of the computer, or some such, is what I heard.
  2. Didn't work out after all. Oh well. Can we PLEEESE doing something on saturday or preferrably sunday?
  3. All the screenshots their were Dxun, but non of the screenshots there were city screenshots. Soo... what made you think the city screenshots were of Dxun??
  4. Because it's a screenshot. Seriously, though - it looks flattish because the side of the generators behind the field are distorted, and the generators themselves have a flat texture. They aren't 2d, if you look closely enough, and remember that this is a screenshot and thusly can't show you perspective as you'll see it in motion in game. I remember some mention of Telos having large protective barriers around colonies to keep the bad stuff out.
  5. "I'm guessing we will be able to soon," in reference to the lightsaber hilts. Just to make that clear, no one ever said it'll be in the game... but they're doing what they can. Also: While I like the idea of your hilt being affected by your choices, I don't like it. Fable forces you to look like an air-headed male model if you go good-guy hero throughout the game - something I REALLY don't like, even though the game looks cool. What I like about the idea is that custom hilts actually mean something of your character, instead of being fan art with no other purpose except to BE fan art.
  6. You start off as a Jedi. You have no technical or story wise reason to start off as a non force-user, and in fact it's been stated that LucasArt's guidelines involved starting the PC as a Jedi since the beginning of the production of the game. You must have misunderstood semantics, and not read for confirmation of the implications you thought were there.
  7. My connection was dead for a while - but I'm ready. Specialization: Survival: Swamp/Forest Specialization: Gambling: Pazaak? (or some other space card game) Specialization: Space Transports: Cargo Transports? Shin: Try 6 or 7. (GMT -6) I'm sure you could come a little late.
  8. Why not? Too much of a coincidence? He is in the game, you know. You can't really make out his features, and his mask IS made of bone from what I can tell. It fits with what I've seen - something about the man seems ghostly, strange, domineering - exactly as I'd imagine this character explained here. Why do you think it's not the masked guy?
  9. We've already repeated ourselves a lot - go back and read if you really want to play Pen and Paper Star Wars D6 rules. If you like roleplaying, you might appreciate it.
  10. It sounds most indefinitely like the sith bone-mask guy. Makes sense that you might find him fighting Ms. White Hair as is shown in the concept art... and that sounds like a cool idea. Maybe he's not "well developed", but not everyone is or has to be to be realistic. It's a unique idea, anyway, though it sounds a WHOLE lot like Vhailor in star wars. I still like it, though.
  11. You never said you were playing. Do you have a character planned? Ender: I was intending my character to be the co-pilot, so I'm A-OK with how it is now. Give us a time. I'm pretty much free after 1:00 on fridays. (GMT -6 here) Weekends usually aren't occupied in terms of time, and all other weekdays finish (all of this is just for the next month, liable to change) around 4. Nonetheless, I'd like to start our sessions 5:30 (we've decided on friday pretty much, I think) to leave plenty of time to play, and so I don't have to stay up real late - not that that's a problem, for now.
  12. All that, and development was planning before the first one came out for the sequel. In an interview they talk about how a whole lot of things that they were going to put in the sequel were already done in the first when they played it - technically, the project started right after the first (thus, X-box) version came out. all projects have this planning stage, and their's started sooner. Also, at one point (I'm not sure if you're taking this into account, though that may well be the case) Bioware trashed all their work (maybe a years worth) and started over on the project mid-development. This means that, technically, bioware made the KotOR I we know know in 1-1.5 years - again, if you hadn't already accounted for that.
  13. no, we're WAY off topic at this point and we're talking about d6 star wars PnP. If you're not too lazy, the rest of the topic, starting about page 4, will explain itself. Shoo!
  14. shin's right. Ender said earlier in the thread, in response to my question about melee parry, that melee parry doesn't cover lightsaber combat. Also, I didn't know we could take points out of our attributes for force powers? I suppose he never said anything against it, and I considered it myself at one point, but still... If we can apply points that way, I'll make a few revisions. as well, I don't see "starship piloting" as a selectable skill anywhere. There's starfighter, capital ship or something of that sort, and space transports. A point moved from Perception to Sense, adding force skills magnify senses, instinctive astrogation, and translation. What deoes life web do, actually?
  15. OK. I'm about to unplug this computer so I can move to my dorm room, so most of tomorrow I'll be offline. Just a warning.
  16. Who's piloting, by the way?
  17. Good point - but I didn't think the Star Wars spaceships took that much maintenance. You set the hyper space coordinates, and vroom it goes? I could understand having a watch team set up on a rolling basis, but you have a pair of droids to take care of that while you sleep. Well, I guess the Jedi could sleep anywhere. And I can't imagine any of those beds are wookie-sized, anyway.
  18. Hmm... that sucks. Fat chance in hell Interplay is selling the rights, I guess.
  19. Well, I dunno... if it was just in the context of anakin, it's understandable. If they stated very clearly that there was to be no love, sex, or even marriages of convenience, that's just Lucas being stupid. Someone should shoot him. Then again it's possible that the old Jedi order, after years of having such transgressions, tightened the noose so that it wouldn't happen anymore. That happens in a lot of aristocracy, and ironically enough it seems that that's losing sight of the original purpose of your rules.
  20. I think the idea is that you're not supposed to feel so strongly that you lose sight of what's more important - THAT is what makes you fall to the darkside, after all, not love itself - and it's somewhat foolhardy to take the strongest force sensitives in the galaxy and prevent them from reproduction. Sort of inclined to destroy all existence or evolution of them, no? It's possible, even without the aid of the Force in daily life, to reach a point where you can love someone as passionately as the most passionate, but have the clarity of thought to not let that override everything else in your life. Experience is usually the only thing that can teach that, or by thinking long and hard about something such as how to deal with being away from your family. It's fairly realistic to believe that that's what the Jedi try to do, though with the amount of people going through their program, it's not a surprise it fails occasionally.
  21. Heh heh... I was about to suggest that...
  22. It would be best if he were a non-combat droid, with only a stun weapon. Now how would you explain THAT?
  23. Check again; 3 bunks on the right when you enter that room. Well, the romance options never got to the point of seriousness that you would sleep with them; but yes, funny. That would still leave one sleeping on the floor, or the examination room, or something. I could see Jolee or Juhani doing either, especially Jolee. As for the bathroom thing - well, you know what Hydrogen fuel is? ... HOW THE HECK DID THIS TOPIC GET ON TO THE BATHROOM HABITS OF NPC'S??
  24. Err... because that IS a medical examination room Think about it; he supplies you with medkits... I'm fairly certain there aren't enough bunks on the hawk, though. Six, to be exact; 2 people have to sleep either in their chairs or on the floor.
  25. Well, the original thing I remember hearing was that, "a droid suspiciously like HK 47 will be in your party." Also, keep in mind that HK was a model of assassin droid, and meatbag was programmed into him - it could probably be programmed out, as well. Yeah... heh heh.. it would be funny... "Beep boop dee ooop." "What?? YOU BLOODTHIRSTY MONSTER!!"
