Yep, so after threatening a trade war, DJT negotiated what Biden already got in 2021.2 points

I dunno if I'm the only one left who doesn't have steam auto-run/start on pc reboot, full-exits steam all the time/hard restarts it whenever I want it open etc, but if anyone else does that, have you noticed it taking a lot longer to fully open when in "Offline" mode in the past couple days (it's really half-offline these days)? Like it's update check is taking forever. If I actually unplug the pc net cable it starts up really fast like it used to, then I plug the net cable back in. Their Offline mode is seriously not an Offline mode anymore. It should just be called "Online Game/Social Features Disabled, Mode" instead.1 point

I can see how he may have gotten there... I mean, Oblivion's art design is obviously inspired by your typical European middle age kind of thing. Still, KCD is kinda the polar opposite of Oblivion in pretty much everything else. Not gonna read / watch reviews though, wanna go "blind". Technical reports are interesting though. Gamestar claims a RTX 2060 Super has ~50ish fps averages on high preset in WHQD (no upscaling). With upscaling on DLSS/Quality over 70ish. PC Games Hardware took the most demanding scenes they found for GPU and CPU. In the GPU sequence, 1080P native, ultra details preset, an RTX 2060 (non-super) had 30 fps average, 1080 Ti 40. For the CPU, they took on Downtown Kuttenberg. A 8700K was still close to producing 60 fps average. An i7 6700K released in 2015 when Pillars Of Eternity was still HOT outta the oven over 40 -- on experimental settings, which are supposed to be that.. experimental. Reportedly even more taxing than ultra on average. They still recommend at least a 6C/12T CPU for a smoother experience. The review copies also still had Denuvo protection, which is why they're going to do updates on the CPU benches. This sounds fantastic. Why can't all games be as optimized as this? Or at least somewhat? How did we get here? (Mind you, Indy was also real fine more recent, the 2060 Super minimum for sure wasn't for like 30 fps low, ditto the CPUs listed). Nvidia doesn't like this! And Lord British is envious.1 point

I'm no legal expert, but I'm guessing the pardon won't protect against all the lawsuits that will be filed by all the people his made up agency is targeting. There will be plenty of judges and lawyers happy to go after him civilly. Which considering how fragile his ego is, might create some tragically comic moments.1 point

And Canada evaded tariffs, huzzah. By essentially doing what they were already doing, except creating a fentanyl czar (US likes these czars). Although our premier cancelled a Starlink contract, who knows if that'll cost us. ****ing Americans.1 point

I suspect Psion/Berserker would be a pretty dumb combo, too - at least in the unmodded game - because the Psion would constantly pause focus generation because of Berserker Frenzy's self damage? Tactician/Streetfighter: also stupid. Tactician doesn't want to get flanked usually (unless Confusion is desired for friend/foe shenanigans) while the Streetfighter's desire is to get flanked. Edit: argh, Elric beat me. PS: made a nice Berserker/Ghost Heart who specialized in delivering killing bows: Barbaric Smash (for free most of times bc. kill) + Marked Prey + Survival of the Fittest + Bloody Slaughter + Evasive Roll was effective and fun. Sometimes mixed in a Takedown Combo, too. PPS: @Elric Galad I would argue that Priest/Druid can get Spineof Thicket Green and enchant it to +2 PL to Rejuvenation and +2 PL to Restoration which makes for a pretty cool healer - like Priest of Eothas/Livegiver. +7(!) Power Levels of Rejuvenation while shifted (can even prolong spiritshift with Salvation of Time for longer +5 PL buff) - and afterwards only drop to -1 Power Level bc. of the staff but can continue with +2 PL Restoration spells. Pretty cool imo. And in the late game you might even use all your spell slots often enough.1 point

If we live bad subclass combinations apart (the most hilarious even if probably not that bad being tactician / streetfighter - the guy can't decide if he likes adrenalin), my vote will go to Priest / Druid. Sure, one can make it work in practice, but could it be better than pure Priest or pure Druid ? You get a tons of spell, but you probably won't have time to spend all your slot. You are versatile, but not that much granted than both classes can deal damages, support and heal. Priest / Wiz and Druid / Wiz would be candidate too, but I'll argue Wiz is less redundant and has a tons of instantaneous self-buffs to let you profit from all these juicy spell slots. Barbarian / Ranger would work in melee though. Ranger is an okay melee class, and you may be able to abuse Hunter's Claws & Friends on speedy crit Berzeker builds.1 point

Yeah for sure we've tied ourselves to the Americans too much, but I guess on some level alliances should matter somewhat. Also the fact is, I'm not really sure Canada is really harming the US in any way. They send their drugs and guns to us, we send them some drugs and illegals back, but hardly a crisis issue. As the WSJ said, this is the dumbest trade war - https://www.wsj.com/opinion/donald-trump-tariffs-25-percent-mexico-canada-trade-economy-84476fb21 point

"I need a quick store run, better make a short list since I'll forget something otherwise." "diet soda, yogurt, frozen veggies, almond flour" *walk away, remember something, better add it, look at list* What I actually wrote: "shadow, yoda, tundra, diamond floor" WTF brain.1 point

Pre-Avowed playthrough of Deadfire completed. Used some light mods, mandatory Community Patch, plus XP rebalance, which worked pretty well. I think this is a playthrough I enjoyed the most. Small narrative additions and DLCs, I think make Deadfire much stronger narratively, and enough time has passed for me to be able to assess it with a fresher pair of eyes.1 point

But nothing was done to it? Mexico and Canada promised to do what they already promised for Biden and US only postponed tariffs start day not redacted them. This theater seem more like distraction from Musk taking over USAID and US treasury and at the end tariffs will put in place because new republicans like them because they think they worked in 1800s0 points
