  1. Bigger worlds in video games inevitably means lower content density and more walking around with not much to see or do... ...But given that it's a Bethesda game, I'm not certain that it's necessarily a bad thing to put more space between the player and the game's writing/design.

  2. I guess this is what I deserve for trying to be polite for the folk currently enjoying the show instead of going "this is the worst thing I've ever seen in my whole life" as would typically be more my style, so let me be a little more clear: I liked what I saw of Frieren a bit more than the first episode I saw of Dandadan, and I rather disliked Frieren. If it in any way proves helpful, here is a short and simple rating system of a number of modern anime shows I've seen thanks to some of the fine folk on the Obsidian forums: Season 1 of Spy x Family: 7/10 Vampire in the Garden: 6.5/10 Girls' Last Tour: 6.5/10 Season 1 of One Punch Man: 6/10 Season 1 of K-ON!: 5.5/10 Some episodes of Frieren: 4.5/10 Mostly fast-forwarded Devilman Crybaby: 4/10 Episode 1 of Dandadan: 3.5/10 Don't mistake me not acting a petulant bastard as feeling in any way positive towards something, some things just merit stronger words on my part more than others, .

  3. I assume it is a similar number to the players that are delusional enough to think Bethesda makes bad games. Starfield isn't perfect, but it is a very solid game. It also doesn't seem like any of their titles have bombed. Fallout 76 was the closest they've had to a flop, but they keep releasing updates and apparently it has enough players to keep it active. It helps that the show was a huge hit and attracted new players to the IP. Bethesda isn't hurting, so I'd say the delusion is either widespread, or maybe they just aren't making games for you. I get it. There are plenty of things that bother me in Bethesda games. But by and large they do a lot of stuff right, too.

  4. That's a big negative for me. None of Bethesda's games needed bigger maps, they needed more variety in what's already there.

  5. I'm trying to play Grounded with my girlfriend, she's on Xbox and I'm on PC. When I try to enable the cross-platform feature, the game doesn't give me the option to select my Xbox account. I've tried following these steps, but without success:https://grounded.obsidian.net/cross-platform-support Please, help me :(

  6. I was just joking. Also a disclaimer that the following is not an attempt to get you to watch more of it, but this show is genreless. It goes from Comedy to Action to Horror to Drama to Idol to Mystery to idk, which would lead you to think that it would suck at all of them, but it just knocks it out of the park every time. Also I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but the mangaka for Dandadan started out as an assistant to the mangaka of Chainsaw Man.

  7. You can find the complete list of grimoires in the wiki: https://pillarsofeternity.fandom.com/wiki/Pillars_of_Eternity_II:_Deadfire_grimoires also with specific abilities (spell) onlyh contained in grimoires that you can't learn. I don't remember any guide, you should equip the best grimoire(s) that fit best with your character and/or that are best for enemies you are going to fight.

  8. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/bloodlines-2-is-more-spiritual-successor-than-sequel-to-a-a-competently-good-game-by-2004-standards-say-paradox I must admit that my optimism was misplaced, and this person has not played VTMB. I played it recently and most of the ideas and implementations work just fine (could be better with more immersive sim elements, not less). Then again, abusing the IP worked well for Larian, but they at least somewhat improved the character creation and added more immersive sim elements (the rest was not exactly good). Edit. The developers may release something that can stand on its own, but it is unlikely to be a sequel to VTMB.

  9. Dandadan (or Dan Da Dan?), episode 1, The End of Dandadan. Because there's currently only one episode, which I am certain will remain true for the foreseeable future. I wonder what percentage of this episode was taken up by either of the main characters screaming, yelling, babbling, or whining, because I watched the whole episode, and it sure felt like a lot. I'm just never going to jive with shows that endeavour to be all-out assaults on my senses, even if they have other good qualities - I now have a headache after watching this, and that kind of makes most everything else meaningless.

  10. "Going gold" used to mean that the game has been completed and put on a disc ready for duplication and shipping. What I assume that means here is that the final build have been finalized and they will be working on day1 patch till release. I assume that means the game has been certified for release on various platforms as well.

  13. Why I went back to the Noctua NH-D15. But nowadays reviews are pretty good about pump noise, so you can find something decent.

  14. AMD: Here's Zen (notquite)5%! Intel: Hold my beer! Granted, if even half of the claimed power savings are correct that'll be interesting, but unless Intel can't into 1st party benchmarks, the incentive to upgrade to Arrow Lake just went away. Unless the 265K is proportionally better in comparison than the 285K, which I am not really interested in anyway, the only upside would be going back to air cooling's much better idle noise. Not gonna lie, that pump is annoying as f.... when it is quiet in the room.

  15. I mean it's a more positive reception than I expected, but unfortunately I think we have to delay the apocalypse for now. Hopefully @InsaneCommander comes back, because I'm pretty sure he'd dig Dandadan and I'd like to end the world on a reasonable timeline.
