The bike lanes are my favorite part of this trip.2 points

I've watched several of this guy's videos and he has just never done it for me, so I guess I can be thankful that I don't care, . Long and short of the boss stuff (which is the bit I was more interested in, since I really do not care about the open world design one iota) seems like the DLC bosses are hard, but they're almost all comprehensible which makes them fun and interesting to play instead of incomprehensible like a number of bosses in the base game are, which is not fun to play or engage with. I think my favorite bit of FromSoftware content is the Artorias of the Abyss in DS1, whose bosses are all harder than almost anything you can find in the base game but who are all quite fair and well-telegraphed in their movesets, so if it's similar to that, I could certainly understand his point of view.1 point

Yeah, GreedFall2 is on my Steam wishlist, though I'll have to wait until it is out of EA to get it. I also now have GF1 on my wishlist; waiting for good sale price for that.1 point

Yes, indeed, I like Ranger and his bonuses but I "hate" pet. I don't like having pet aside me whole time. It is not for power playing reason but I don't wanna manage with Bonded Grief, I don't wanna spend point in animal abilities, I don't care about reviving pet (re-summon is just good enough), I rely on almost only ranger passives so summon pet is not a problem and (since I'm playing SOLO) in some areas I wanna use stealth mode without pet's hindrance. Furthermore it is a RPG choise: my PG conjure dead ancestors (animated weapons, ghosts and so on) for her (she is a lady) battles and her dead beloved bear, all slaughtered when she was very young. I summon pet sometimes (indeed often) at the start of fights waiting for chanter summons; I like that style of playing and I am comfortable with it Edit: And I forget, some abilities and equip abilities are more easily usable without having companions/pet (pure SOLO).1 point

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) I enjoyed it. I think that I would have preferred it if it was more like other Mad Max films taking place during a single conflict instead of an origin story, but preferences aside the film was solid enough. The cgi means that visually it can be lacking but for me at least it wasn't as grating as superhero trash. I hope if they do another Mad Max there's a big twist reveal that the rest of the world is still normal but only Australia has descended into chaos. Drive-Away Dolls (2024) Not gonna lie, serious contender for movie of the year. Ethan Cohen still has the Fargo juice and really pumped it to make this.1 point

I have finished the last DS2 DLC yesterday. And I think I have enjoyed it most of the three packs. With the exception of some frozen mobs, which were impossible to backstab Anyway. The level design of Frozen Eleum Loyce was as gorgeous as the Brume Tower. First I have went to the right not knowing, that the boss is on the left, so I have managed to avoid myself a big surprise, which I have found later on internet I was slowly clearing the area of the mobs, picked up the Eye of the Priestess, and then I have found one invader phantom, which has been transformed into barrel. To bad, that I have found him only after he made a backstab on me as soon as I have touched the nearby chest. At that time, I have thought, that he somehow hidden on the staircase above, and I did not noticed him. So as soon, as I have run again to this place, I went for the staircase, and I have found out his camouflage, and I literally burst into laughter, as I've seen that some barrel is running after me. I have almost died due to that for the second time It turned into pretty lengthy fight afterwards, which I was lucky enough to survive After that, I was ready to explore the left side of the fortress behind the entrance, where the first boss was hiding. I summoned two phantoms, and started the fight. Compared to the fights in Old Iron King DLC, this was pretty easy, so I have lost my focus again, and closer to the end of the fight, I was asskicked while trying to put lance up his rear end The second try was much better executed, and prepared for his attacks, do I celebrated my first victory in this area. Next was small talk with lady on a balcony, which has unfrozen for me the rest of the level, so I could go and try to find three missing Loyce Knights. This unlocked pretty big areas, which have been inaccessible before that. Of course, that meant few silly wipes again. The most precious one was, when I have decided to slide down the slope after big rolling snowball, which I have kicked down few seconds before Anyway, after few hours of slowly searching the rest of the fortress, I have found out all three knights, and unlocked all of the shortcuts. It was time to fight against Burnt Ivory King. I have again summoned two phantoms for help and went through the fog gate. The fight was interesting, and the charred mobs has been dropping few items during the fight, which I was promptly picking up. With all that help of 4 Loyce Knights and two summons, the fight was not difficult at all, but again, my impatience ruined nice attempt, as the King made a large swing which ended up my misery once again Again, being smarter after seeing most of his moves against me and the summons, I entered for the second attempt. This time, I was much more cautious, which rewarded me with another victory, so I have picked up last crown, and went for another talk with the lady. Unfortunately this time no drops from adds. Later I have found out, that I would need 50 Loyce Souls. I got 1 from the first attempt. So silly me, wet to Old Chaos all by himself. Somehow, I have managed to defeat two of the knights, but then another three spawned, and I started to run around like a headless chicken trying to use the exit light to not lose a hefty sum of souls again I've survived, but I had a laugh again, with what stupidity I have come up this time Before going to the next area, I have tried to grind for the Frozen Armour set from Rampart Golems, which were close to the last bonfire. Unfortunately, I am still missing bracers Next in line was the frozen blizzardy area, which name I have forgotten already (Frozen Outskirts maybe?), which I have tried to avoid for as long as possible, as everyone I have ever listen to, has been bitching about, as the worst area ever created for any Soulslike game. To my surprise, it was a far far away from the torture, which I have expected. It was not the best design again, but from my experience, out of all "gauntlets" in the DS2 DLCs, this was the least ****ty one. All I needed to do, was stop for few seconds whenever the blizzard was active, and move only during the short calm period. Thanks to this, I have found without ease almost all items on my first try, which I have messed up at the end, when I have pulled by mistake two stallions On the next try, I got the last item as well, and got to fog gate with no issues. As always, I have used phantoms again. This time it was possible to summon three of them. So I have used them all The fight was similar to the first bossfight in this DLC. Difference being second cat. As Hawke mentioned before (I have not read it up until now, to not spoil the first experience ), the second cat joined the fight very very soon. Even with the raised resistances to bosses with three phantoms around, the fight was not that hard for me, mostly due to me already knowing all the cat moves. My DPS was pretty decent to overcome the buff on the second cat as well. Unfortunately, close to the end of the fight, I messed up again and facerolled into the snow. Second attempt was again victorious. I was little bit afraid of messing up again during the buffed phase, so I have approached that phase of the fight with maximum caution. Despite that, I was still able to do more damage to it, as she was able to heal up, although by a small margin. So it took a while. Then, to my surprise the buff was gone, me and all of the summons still standing, so I run fast, but cautiously towards her, and finished the fight. Two more souls in the inventory, and time to get back to the base game. I will probably take one day of break, and then will decide, if I finish the main boss or go for the Darklurker first. I will be going to visit Ancient Dragon and Vendrick definitely in the post-game, before moving to NG+. All I have to do now, is to decide, if I will try to get some missing drops in the meanwhile, or leave it for NG+, when the droprate is a little bit higher than in NG. Deathcounter: 2681 point

I don't think you need the first part of the message, and it is entirely possible that it is the entire message. That's a biking lane and it reads "for 1.5°C", which is a reference to the Paris Climate Accords and its 1.5° C target.1 point

Anyone uploading pics in this thread without naming the game should be insta-banned. Can we get that rule, please?1 point

Why these subclasses granted that both are specially about summoning and you can't have GH pet along chanter summons. Are you hating pet that much ?1 point

Genuine question. Its bothering me log time but I just realized that 'sign in' does not have button but 'sign up' does and have more pronounced colors and I always miss click on it. Is it some marketing jedi mind trick? I am sure people much more often use 'sign in' than' sign up'. Anyone else is flabbergasted by it or is it just my OCD?1 point

Really just back to Denmark, showing a bit of the island off the coast Esbjerg (west coast of the Jutland peninsula) and parts of an iron age settlement excavation (more of interest for those into very old history I think, although I enjoyed the family picnic to the site as a kid) Edit: Sadly, it was only two weeks, including time to get over the jet lag. Most days were spent with my family and also at the cemetery, finally getting to spend some time at my mothers grave (since I couldn't attend her funeral). Not showing pictures of my family or cemetery1 point

You could just say "game bad, feminazis", you know. A good post ends up being sunk by a comparison that's incredibly on the nose and about as subtle as a primal in heat. Seriously though, is it bad that the game doesn't specifically cater to the one gamer type who is catered to in virtually every other type of media, by being taken as the default character? It specifically doesn't feature much in the way of the hyper-masculine caricatures who define themselves through violence and violence only, and that's compensated by a much greater variety of characters, including men. I'm surprised that anyone would consider Reed to be someone to look up to, though, when you have the ED secretary, Phineas, Vicar DeSoto (especially after he gets mellow), Felix, Sedrick Kincannon (a lovable, dashing rogue, if there ever was one), and a slew of other characters who can just as easy be followed/looked up to.1 point

Greetings all, First time player, so maybe I just don't know how it's supposed to be but I see no recipes at all in my craft or enchant menu, both are just completely blank. Not even the one I was supposed to get from the cook shows up. I read on another thread that you're supposed to just start with the recipes so I got the impression something went wrong for me. Is this a bug? If so is there a fix? Thanks in advance1 point

The Outer Worlds It would probably look nicer with better lighting, but still. I am happy to share that the cow and the human survived my visit. Also now one of the companions looks like a candy or a pride flag (the armour was possible to pickpocket without killing the hostile NPC). A different set, but the colour scheme the same as for the other Rizzo's set. The story acknowledges the level architecture. Somehow, Sanjar is one of the most likeable NPCs.0 points

Before I start I should probably explain what I thought of OW vanilla. It's a fine, tight adventure. I like the world, I like the humor. It reminds me more of early Bioware titles, then what Obsidian has been known for - while there are multiple ways of solving quests, I find morality of OW black and white. I think I would find it difficult to not go for Good endings. Why would I? My character doesn't benefit of seeing the world burn, and I don't enjoy playing psychos. As such I don't see much replayability in OW story wise. Gameplay wise OW is shallow - adding "perks" as skills are leveled up is neat, but said perks a dull outside early ones which unlock additional systems. Leveling up (be it character or weapon) results in better stats, which is a very dull if it is the only thing that happens in an action RPG - character 1 and character 36 plays for the most part the same way. But none of it is a problem because Outer Worlds is shortish - If I remember well it took me about 35 hours to beat the original campaign. Midway through Monarch I was feeling disengaged, and after that there is finale and rush toward the conclusion. Overall, the game left me satisfied, but not hungry for more. Very KOTOR/Jade Empire experience. What DLCs do, is add a lot more Outer Worlds in this moment of me betting bored: between Monarch and the finale. Those are good, content rich DLCs, don't get me wrong. But I don't think Outer Worlds has depth needed to carry for those extra 15 hours. Peril of Gorgon is mostly combat, which at this point is a snooze fest - it's a constant loop of repetitive combat engagements, and looting things you don't need. Murder on E faires better, as it mixes all systems Outer Worlds has on offer, plus new "investigation" mechanic. Still, none manage to make gameplay interesting again, and storywise, they are seperate, very silly stories, even more one sided and over-characterised then the vanilla game (really, continuing base game after MoE feels like we are being serious again). I also felt both DLCs kept going for a bit too long. About halfway through you can tell where the whole thing is going, and you just wish the game would hurry up getting there.0 points
