  1. I would assume its obvious, the EU has an official policy of supporting Ukraine and they dont support the warmongering of Russia or its invasion of Ukraine. And the EU definitely wont be on good terms with any country that considers the EU an enemy which applies to Russia So you need to accept that as an EU member if you want to be part the EU Leave the EU if you want to align with Russia and you dont believe in sovereignty of countries or the principles of Democracy?

  3. Heh, we do not have foreign policy now. We are de jure still NATO and EU member, but we are now de facto a puppet state of Russia. Probably on the same level as Belarus. The funny thing is, that Muscovites are considering our leaders as coward collaborators as well. Oh and Hungary "has" same territorial claims on Slovakia, as Russia "has" on Ukraine. And guess who has upper hand in Kremlin at the moment If any of these idiots will at some point decide to populistically make a referendum about leaving NATO, which will most likely be successful, we will be eaten by Hungary in matter of weeks, with Muscovites acting as "peacekeepers" in a same way, as they acted in Nagorno Karabakh The whole three days of real independence will be surely worth it, wouldn't it?

  4. I saw a very recent review where the reviewer showed a bunch of footage of them abusing Throw Blasts (throwable items in your inventory) and then said she couldn't figure out why her pawn would throw items in their inventory. I think it's great how the pawns would learn from not just being borrowed, but also from just watching how the player character and other pawns play. A harpy can pick you up and then just drop you from a height, but you can teach your pawn to grab onto your legs to drag the harpy down by doing this yourself if the pawn gets grabbed. There are dozens are little things like that.

  6. But surely all of this is possible to do with companions without those companions having to be shared with other players.

  7. MLB The Show is letting you create female players for the Road to the Show mode. Which, in hindsight, kind of makes you wonder what took so long. I'm sure I'll get some entertainment from dumb people arguing about realism in a video game that lets you beat every MLB record in the books.

  8. Bruce is one of those people that wants protests to be off to the side and easily ignored. Probably just apply pressure. But also is just general outrage I suppose. People marched for Ukraine and not like Canada can really do much there either.

  9. I do agree that it's not pleasant, but calling it absolutely outrageous does look a bit facetious, given that you seem to be quite OK with both the particularly vicious murder of a certain Khashoggi and the current (not completely proven but essentially indubitable) genocide of Gazans by Israel. Which reminds me of a fairly sad but established fact: while human beings do indeed universally value justice, the majority of them value "their own people" a lot more than they value justice, from which it follows that if "their own people" commit atrocities or other than "their own people" are, for instance, murdered, they just don't care.

  10. At the risk of defending Abrams a bit more than is really warranted* 'somehow Palpatine returned' as done in RoS does actually have prior precedent in the SW universe, to whit Dark Empire (1992 comic). Palpatine's return there is near identical to the one in RoS, ie somehow his 'essence' takes over a clone, and there are several other similarities too. Indeed that comic has had quite a lot of elements from it adapted into Disney canon in general (I think Boba Fett's survival as shown in the Disney TV series is first shown in DE, but I'm not 100% certain of it and can't be bothered checking; also fairly sure it was one of the few comics it's known that George Lucas actually read). *especially since it means he's even more derivative than TFA made him look in the first place

  11. Admittedly I'm not the biggest Star Wars guy, but I took the Darth Plagueis story to be more of Palpatine trying to trick Anakin into falling by tempting him with something, especially because his promise went unfulfilled. And Star Wars cloning doesn't seem to replicate the person so much as create a biological copy of them, while Return of the Jedi: Abrams version had it definitely as Palpatine himself, not Palpatine's body double. But really it was just a bad move for the reasons you've already mentioned. It's clear that the only plan for the sequel trilogy was to try and print money off the brand name and that the trilogy was greenlit without even an outline which is questionable storytelling but apparently good bizness. Moreover, the obvious answer would be to have just introduced Abeloth. I think we can all say 2 hours of Star Wars Cthullu would have been better than what actually happened.

  12. Slovak Foreign Minister had a meeting with Lavrov, and our Prime Minister has boasted how important that meeting was and how important for us are the relations with Russia. Few days after that as a reaction, Italy announced, that the agreement about SAMP/T AD which they provided to us, will be terminated, and it will be transported to Ukraine ASAP. Another reaction was that Czech Republic, our closest neighbours and friends for few hundreds years will not be attending any bilateral meetings on highest state level with PM Fico anymore, as any meeting like that would put a big stain on Czech Reputation. The third reaction was, that there will be event on embassy of Netherlands in Prague, where EU ambassadors/diplomats have been invited to attend, with the exception of Slovak one. They will be talking about the situation in Slovakia... It took less than 6 months to our new government, to completely destroy all goodwill we gathered since 1993, when we became independent. Slovakia is currently idiomatically back in 1939, when we became Hitler's puppet state

  13. Yeah...I don't know about this. I've always enjoyed a good character creation screen. It's one of the reasons why I love RPGs so much. Every personal detail adds an extra degree of flavour, making your experience more unique. Having a limit on playable races detracts from this somewhat. This isn't a problem if every system involved is deep enough, but just hearing "there will only be two available races" doesn't sound very appealing no matter how you slice it. While we're at it, not many games these days (at least in my opinion) have done this well. While not a role playing game, Skull & Bones has a measly amount of presets, with all of them looking mediocre at best. Still, if everything else surrounding this is good, then I'll be willing to sacrifice this part of the game.

  14. I'm honestly surprised other devs haven't tried to swipe Dragon's Dogma's pawns system. It's a pretty ingenious way to do companions IMHO.

  15. I completed the entire Shadowrun franchise and its gets a solid 65\100 on the globally respected " BruceVC game rating system" I enjoyed the combat mechanics and there were battles where you really had use strategies to win, I like that Hong Kong had one frustrating design and that was the freeing of Raymond and the Matrix where you only had 10 rounds, I dont like or enjoy this type of forced timing to complete a quest especially when the expectations are badly designed. I used save scumming to complete this part of the game But apart from that a good overall experience in the Shadowrun universe Now Im taking my normal break from playing the same genre and Im going to start on Far Cry 5, it looks good and its set in Montana where your enemy is a doomsday cult

  16. My dad's back in the hospital, heart and lung issues are coming back. I'm trying not to be angry at him but his refusal to let anyone help him with anything until he practically collapses and his apparent delusion at the reality of his situation is just making me furious. I'm not a doctor and may be rushing to judgement but the fact is that he did not give himself time to rest and kept on trying to do stuff that left him winded and begging for help.
