Made a bit more progress in Mass Effect (the legendary edition version). Currently exploring The Citadel (The Presidium and The Ward areas). In many ways this just feels like a better "game", because it feels less claustrophobic (not sure how to explain the feeling otherwise). More perceived freedom and openness, the only blocker being having to go see the council before other areas become accessible and then off to explore... and backtrack and retrack and backtrack again etc., as the missions and assignments keep piling up2 points

Ojisan popping up in either of those shows would objectively make them better, I will reach out to Amazon to see if we can make it happen.1 point

That would be twice as bad. Here is another idea, make a crossover with Uncle From Another World. Galadrial can play the elf and Ojisan would fit perfectly among the orcs. Also, if the battles are as bad as people say, he would quickly become Middle Earth's Sun Tzu with his knowledge of Sega games.1 point

Played Diablo1 for 20 minutes. Played Dungeon Keeper Gold for 30 minutes. Turned on a couple newer games, then turned them off. Stared at a wall. ....guess I'll sort/organize more of the piled up boxes of household stuff, at least it keeps me busy.1 point

It's the last upgrade "Spirit Tornado" which is not working as the rest (in the vanilla game). Blood Frenzy/Blood Storm and Spirit Frenzy apply their effects to all the character's crit rolls (Blood Frenzy) or hit+crit rolls (Spirit Frenzy). Only Spirit Tornado doesn't. Blood Frenzy didn't use to, too - but then when I asked the devs (when terhe was still patching going on) why Spirit Frenzy applies to all rolls and Blood Frenzy only to the initial weapon hit they changed it to match Spirit Frenzy. And maybe forgot Spirit Tornado (which I didn't notice to have the same limitation at the time)...?1 point

Ben Hodges on the other hand, predicts UA getting close to Crimea, if the West gets more consistent with the help. Only the time will tell Many people expected limited gains even last year. And UA has surprised everyone, with their Kharkiv liberation (including me ). RU were already appointing collaborators to "referendums" there. Few analysts have said, that Kherson was expected to be liberated only this year1 point

we had a small handful o' guests for easter and we did the bit where you poach eggs in the shell, which doesn't make 'em taste better but it allowed us to be all dramatic when serving something kinda basic. had the poached eggs served multiple ways depending on diner preference. had three soups: chilled cucumber, pazole rojo, and a yellow split pea as well as crusty fresh bread. soups were all made ahead o' time. thank goodness. honest, we chose the soups more for the color than any. we were going for bright. edit: we also had two salads. am not a fan o' leafy green salads save for caesar salad. there were no caesar salad and one 'o the salads were a kale thing, and am not a fan o' kale. almost forgot the salads as they were brought by guests. were not bad salads, but they were salads. lamb breast stew, which ain't particular traditional but it were something we could make the day before as stew is almost always superior the next day. we didn't make any kinda a desert 'cause one guest told us she were bringing apple tarte tatin. were magnificent. our favorite part o' the meal. relative low effort for Gromnir and the only thing he had to make on easter were the eggs and a couple sauces. ... no hardboiled eggs, but if we did do hardboiled, we woulda made deviled eggs. am having no idea where our piping bag is. am recalling looking for it a couple months previous and came up empty. is not so much the bag as the absent tips/nibs/whatever which is problematic as am knowing we could use a ziploc in a pinch. no kids this easter. no kids made easter less festive. HA! Good Fun!1 point

Immortal: Unchained. Reached Cinderwood and participated in a duel of snipers. The teleporting-sniper boss and the other teleporting snipers could not leave the arena, so I just camped next to the entrance. Also, found a shortcut to the previous area. While I did not need to go there, it the interconnectivity was pleasant to see. I think, there are 3-4 main bosses and 2-3 main areas left to go. Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG. Started the game. It is impressive that a PC with Int 1 has a lot of unique lines, while most of them are voiced.1 point

Yikes. Haha I guess all-in or nothing. I actually haven't been on two wheels since I was still in my teens. Once I got my license, the only wheeled death trap for me is with a wheel on each corner and an enclosed roof over my head.1 point

I like cars. After 112,000 miles, my Mk VI Golf R was starting to add up in upkeep costs, giving me a frowny face. I felt it was time to change, and since I already have a 160K+ mile J150 GX for Japanese-Amerikan practicality, I felt like it was time to get in front of my pending near mid-life crisis and get a USDM J-Vin'd front engine, RWD sports car. Hence, I got a ZN8 GR86. I love it. It has a six-speed manual transmission with a LSD. It's relatively low-powered with a 2.4 liter boxer engine producing 228HP and 184 lb/ft torque. But it is by far the best handling car I've ever driven - especially after some tastefully modest modifications: CSG-Spec Tein FLA coilovers, Cusco braces (strut towers, front and rear side members, steering rack + bushings), Ikeya Formula lower control arms, TRD door stabilizers, Spoon rigid collars, and Essex/AP Racing brakes (last one is, admittedly overkill). I am quite pleased.1 point

I don't hate any of these rule changes. Which is funny because I did when they were proposed. I was wrong about that!1 point

Looks like several new archetypes and a few spells may be in the pipeline, with a good amount of association with the undead or shadows. Also an "android companion". Let's hope Owlcat's Commander Data isn't as bad as NuTrek's evil Brent Spiner. Looking at the archetypes and I think Shadowcaster and Weretouched will be top-tier, Ghost Rider and Reanimator are wildcards, Tortured Crusader and Tandem Executioner are downgrades. We'll just have to wait and see when/if they are implemented.1 point

It’s so much more watchable. There’s far less time-wasting nonsense and more balls in play. Whitey Herzog approves.1 point

I wonder if RoP won't be out on DVD or similar some day, like GoT did (that's how I got to watch the latter). I saw two episodes of RoP (5+6 iirc) while staying at a friends place in Melbourne a few months ago and she had all the streaming services. Not something I would buy on DVD to be honest. An Ok action series if you can accept it got nothing to do with the books other than a bit of name dropping here and there and otherwise being a mostly unrelated story. But the dialogue and conversations... argh!0 points

Yeah, all of the losses are focused around people born in 1979 or later, so it hits us that haven't had a chance to work up a whole lot of pension funds yet.0 points

Forgot about this gem actually; My company pension plan was managed by Alecta whom sold off all their shares in Swedish Handelsbanken (That they'd had for 71 years) to buy more shares in american niche banks, most prominently Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. "Only" 20 billion SEK lost0 points
