By the way I can confirm that Eternal Devotion works with Sacred Immolation: the +10% burning lash applies to the damage of SI. But SI doesn't heal you with Steel Garrote's draining ability. You have to use a ranged or melee weapon. Just because I'm testing a Steel Garrote/Streetfighter with dual mortars and Sacred Immolation atm and it's sweet. Powder Burns gets you flanked, SI gets you bloodied real quick in a plannable way and as soon as you fear you go too low on health you just fire a Full Attack at the crowd and your health climbs back up while you are dealing damage.2 points

I did a playthrough with a single class Forbidden Fist using it. The idea was that FF wants max RES, so let's see about making a deflection build with it. FF's health regen on hostile effect expiration is also surprisingly clutch for survivability. Overall the character felt very strong. With all that deflection and Crucible of Suffering constantly active (because FF), he was very hard to hit with any attack. When he got WotW he was doing great damage, too, even though it wasn't as good as other monks can manage because of TP's low base damage. This mixture of offense and defense made him quite satisfying to play. I didn't play solo, though, but I understand SC monk is great for solo. I remember I messed up the Nemnok fight and he was left to solo Nemnok plus a couple minions after the rest of the team died. Took a while (I hadn't planned for it) but he did manage to facetank Nemnok for what must've been 15-20 minutes and whittle him down. And before anyone says anything, Wound generation is NOT a problem on FF. It was easy enough to maintain my wounds throughout the game, and when I got Imagined Pain I had more wounds than I knew what to do with. At that point you can also build for disengagement defense and just run through enemies to build wounds.1 point

Say "Hi" to the Avatar of Derketo: Sepermeru for scale: Bye bye *blows kiss* So long suckers, I'm outta here! (I did make a backup of my save before doing that) I don't think talking about the "Leave the Exiles Lands" step is spoilers necessarily, but just in case: There's supposedly a major update coming out in September, curious what that's going to be. I'd mostly love more areas to explore but that seems unlikely as the devs have said the current map is already pushing the limits of the Unreal Engine. Only thing I still have to do now is the climbing up high achievement. I'll probably see if I can't just climb the Volcano for that one.1 point

It's correct that it's generally not worth paying too much for a RB but in the case of the Cowboys and Zeke, I'd say they are a much lesser team without him. I don't think Dak and Amari will be able to create magic by themselves (i.e. a deep post season run). So they are in a tough spot and if Cowboys let him go, I'm sure some team will cough up serious money for him regardless.1 point

I can only say that the Streetfighter bonus "Heating Up" is pretty insane. Not only will you attack very fast, but your Sneak Attack dmg will also be enhanced a lot. And that's not including the additional bonus you get when becoming bloodied. If you like dmg output then this will be a lot of fun. A Black Jacket can switch around weapons with no penalty. So it's easy to trigger "Heating Up" with a blunderbuss should nobody flank you in melee. Also note that with a blunderbuss you usually have 4 projectiles that trigger on hit-effects 4 times - see Confounding Blind. But... if you decide for blunderbusses (I mean that's not set in stone given that you're a Black Jacket) I would highly, highly recommend using Serafen's Hand Mortar and do his quest asap to get the second mortar of his - which is named "Fire in the Hole". Both mortars deal AoE dmg. Stuff like Blinding Strike, Crippling Strike, Toxic Strike and so on will get applied over the whole area of effect! As bonus those weapons are foe-only, have two damage types (pierce/slash) and target reflex with their AoE which can be a plus when meeting enemies with high deflection. AND Fire in the Hole has an enchantment that lets the whole AoE jump one time (like Driving Flight). And they are still "official" blunderbusses which can trigger "Heating Up" with the Powder Burn modal (which has friendly fire sadly, but it's rather weak). Best weapon set for Streetfighter there is in my opinion. You can totally do Disciplined Strikes + Vigorous Defense, deal a AoE Blinding Shot into the crowd with the mortars, then close in with stilettos - since you are already heated up and the enemies will suffer big debuffs from the blind you will be nigh untouchable and mop the floor with them, stabbing left and right with great speed. Sounds fun to me.1 point

There are ways to convince them to join your cause. But you have to do something first (can't exactly recall what, but it has to do with Aloth's quest iirc). Because when I did this quest for the first time I accidentally stumbled upon that option. The ranga then sends you to another quest (attack the slavers on Crookspur) and afterwards the tribe's cooperating.1 point

Update. So far Sacred Immolation is really good. It is hitting for about 40-60 (60 or higher for Crits) at level 13. When it is day time and I am getting higher fire PL levels from Sun and Moon even more so. My paladin drawing trash mobs around bosses in boss fights and just incinerating them. Also the self damage is easy to mitigate with Voidward, good resolve and decent HP from the HP necklace and 2 Con Belt that gives me a second Second Wind (10 Con Base). It also hits or crits on the regular without a super High Per Investment (13 base from left over char creation points+ 1 Galwain gift from Sayuka) and ring of focused flame. So far so good, lefts see if I stay on the run long enough to get Light of Pure Zeal (PotD/ Ironman so I could lose).1 point

With CP changes to Shroud of the Phantasm and Rakhan Field Boots it's already not that easy to abuse it in solo games. And in full-party, what there is besides Ancient Memory and Brilliant Tactician? ---- Personally I do somewhat like the ongoing regeneration of resources from Brilliant (especially because of some overly-high hp enemies present in game). What looks meh to me is: 1). the possible abuse with Salvation of Time. 2). the gain inequality between different classes. (+10 focus for cipher being the biggest offender; followed by +1 martial point compared to 1 spell usage). Regarding p1, I would prefer to see the same approach that CDProject did with Superior White Raffard's Decoction and Delayed Recovery. The potion was granting 2s invulnerability, and the talent was making the effect indefinite (while toxicity was high enough). So what they did in Witcher 3 (once they finally noticed that) was make Potion ignore the talent altogether. And in case of Pillars that would be SoT not increasing Brilliant duration. Unfortunately I don't know how to implement that via a mod... So what about such a limitation?: "gain 1 resource immediately and additionally regain class resources every 6s while not near death or bloodied". Or another one: after 18s of Brilliant get a 60s debuff that prevents resource generation from Brilliant (like "Recently Bandaged" from WoW) And regarding p2... I would increase focus generation for ciphers from +10 to at least +20. A wizard can get restored anything from rank 1 spell usage to rank 9. On average that would be rank 5. And how much does a cipher's rank 5 power cost? Am not aware of such a guide. But would take a look at existing mods on nexus and start/replicate from there: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/categories/18/1 point

Not much gaming, but I got gift voucher from my girlfriend and other friends on my 40th birthday months ago, and I got finally free weekend to attend the event I felt crazy adrenaline rush and etremely enjoyed it so I feel to share it to you as well Driving in Ariel Atom and Formula Ford in real life for few simple laps A lot of hours in various sims helped me a lot with what to expect from the cars. But I was still surprised, how "glued" to the track were both vehicles in the corners due to aerodynamics1 point

Edér is one to try to subdue his personal pains with humor. He cares about what's happening and the fate of his brother immensely. But the acting can be a bit subtle at times. Which fits the character completely. But if it doesn't come through to you, it is what it is. He's not really particularly racist either, especially by the standards of the setting. They certainly could have hit that heavier if they wanted it to be a big part of his character instead of a one-off poor choice of words around Hiravias. Honestly, would have added extra depth to his character. But I don't blame them for not wanting to touch the idea of a sympathetic character with deeply ingrained racist views with a thousand foot pole. It's a tough concept to write and I can only imagine what the reaction would be by the audience when relatively minor stuff like Edér's faux pas or Mass Effect's Ashley and her suspicion towards aliens gets them up in arms.1 point
