  2. Oh, and maybe I overtuned my concept of an Explosive Resistance Mutation- but with some tweak you could make it feel good. Just... one shot explosions DON'T feel good....
  3. I can't wait to know the full story behind the 5th Teenager, they are still missing and I'm willing to bet they're not missing by choice. We know this game isn't 100% done yet, and with the latest sales and expansion over the consoles; I'm super excited to see all these loose ends being tied up finally! When it comes to getting games approved for further updates by the Execs.... Sales speaks volumes! I know I GLADLY bought a copy for my Wife on Switch and we are having a blast playing together with Switch as the host. If anyone has similar good or bad experiences with Switch please let me know. I can only see the stats of Grounded on Steam- however I can see that On PC alone the "Pulse" of this game has been at about 6,000 people for the last 2 years! -whom actively login every month to buy sign sets, and play with their friends in their Megabase. This means that over 6,000 people actively play this game 'without' consistent updates- think of how many will if they do have consistent updates! Come on execs- you know money will come out of this Franchise, trust in the people who love making their games!~ Anyway- I would love to see some sort of rescue in a Remix'd world inside Schmector's Lab within Moldorc- or even the (Largely Ununsed) Deck Porch with the Bench on it. When we rescue this teen, I would assume for functionality purposes they would unlock for the entire Lobby; able to be selected by changing Teens or restarting the Save and selecting the new one. If that's the case, please add in at least this 1 mutation based on Ominent Experimentation lore I have come up with "Explosive Gains"/"Explosive Personality" - Description: You Flex your Explosive Muscles during Blocks, with 50% Damage Reduction at Lvl 1, and granting complete Explosive Immunity at Lvl 2- - Mastery Bonus: Upon Perfect Parry you reflect all incoming explosion damage back onto the attacker (Levels up to 2 and 3 by blocking Explosions) I still hold true to what I said- I see so much relaxing building ability within this game that I can't help but compare it to these other creative "Giants" ;D like Minecraft and Don't Starve Together- whom initially supported themselves through game sales which were gained through consistent updates of the game. (I'm sorry for the pun, no I won't stop) - They now support themselves with skins, resource packs, and other superficial materialism that people like me or my Wife eat up like sponge-cake. If you play DST you know what a Megabase is, it's your pride and joy; and largely what keeps you logging in. (Because it's never big enough or done enough) This game is VERY fun to Megabase within, and I can't imagine how big some bases *will* get once they get to 1or2 years old with consistent players. With this last update, I've talked to people who love Grounded but never finished it, now coming back to see what the ending is all about. I've also talked to people who don't know Grounded at all- and people in their chat or their friends on voice call speak extremely highly of the game, so they all state they'll check it out in the shop at least. (A nose sniffing for pies eventually finds themselves eating a pie) -That's how you win in this race, it's just updates and people liking your game enough to gush about it to other people! -There is a down side to this though, I've seen on Forums and within Steam itself -the weird performance inconsistencies of the past come up. Some stating the game still runs poorly on this patch, which I haven't seen at all aside from wee bits of stuttering caused by a "Certified Switch Wifi Moment". I hope everything on that end isn't too much of a hassle, and I certainly hope the team can figure out what those issues actually are caused by and resolve them. Regardless, I have been having a blast with this last update! Keep up the great work team! TLDR; I love your game. I'm eagerly waiting for more. Please let me spend more money on Grounded cosmetics or a second game (Online servers wouldn't hurt for lonely people too- but I understand if that's unrealistic- maybe when it's going on the road and you have a Year plan/Second Game in the pipes)

  5. Can't believe it needs to be said, but it is Bruce: mods are always use at your own risk. Eh, that's a massive non sequitor. If a company goes bust it also can't repay its debts, doesn't mean the laws saying it has to repay its debts are stupid because there are circumstances where they can't and don't. Gift cards, warrantees, obligations for items to be in reasonable working order and more all can- and usually do- go poof if the company does. You're not going to have lost the source code yet still be supporting a game, you need the source code for that, and the summary specifies reasonable working state when support ends. For physical goods that's a usual requirement under consumer guarantee legislation, no real reason for it not to be for digital goods*. So no trying to sue Looking Glass Systems or Paul Neurath personally for an old copy of System Shock 2 not working due to SafeDisc: it worked fine, when support ended in 2000. *indeed, the guarantee of reasonable working order for a reasonable timeframe already applies to software here as digital delivery is not excluded from the Fair Trading nor Consumer Guarantees Acts- and it cannot be contracted out via EULA. Even used to be mentioned specifically in the Steam Subscriber Agreement. And now that I check, still is:
  6. Yes it makes no sense. It must be because of a specific example and that would be why this petition was created But the UK is famous for these types of well-meaning but mostly pointless examples of outrage, they dont lead to much real change around implementation
  7. This petition is so dumb. How is that supposed to be enforced? A company can be broke or pretty much dissolved, who is supposed to do the work of maintaining the games? What if for whatever reasons the source code got lost? Should the government fine the company that doesn't exist anymore, or jail the studio heads?
  8. Im not sure I understand the objective? What are people expecting, what do they mean by " in a reasonably working state when support ends" Do they mean official patches and fixes and does this include community patches or mods, is that support? Because you can have a bug specific to your PC or mods you loaded and if you dont fix it then you cant finish the game. Its unrealistic to hold the original developers legally responsible for that? They must be talking about a specific game or games that was the foundation of this petition so I wonder what they mean?
  9. Also I prefer to have Silver Hand as my 2nd weaponset for my Bleakwalker. Because when dealing with these low DR high hp pool enemies Silver Hand is the best weapon. You can potentially do more than 350 +150 = 500 damage with FoD if it luckly triggers Divine Mark. Because if Divine Mark is triggered by FoD it will get accuracy bonus from it, make it very likely to crit. For bosses it's also not bad to shoot with Silver Hand before you use FoD with bittercut because Silverhand can blind, plus chance to divine mark, thats -20~25 deflection, makes your FoD easier to crit.
  10. I completed EoB1 after about 45 hours, it was a great experience and well worth playing So a couple of comments An Automap feature is a MUST for your average gamer if you serious about completing the game, of course you can make maps manually. A map is critical to completing levels for several reasons that include you find levers and buttons that sometimes open doors or hidden walls that aren't always in the vicinity of where you are but with the automap you can see immediately what a button does I loved how the game is non-linear and you sometimes find keys in different places that you decide what you want to unlock and then you can progress as you want and I didnt explore every level completely The " fast travel " was a brilliant and well done feature. It makes exploration for the stone items worthwhile but its not easy to teleport unless you find specific portals I enjoyed the overall combat mechanics, simple but still entertaining I had an interesting final battle with the beholder Xanathar, initially he decimated me after 3-4 rounds of combat with death spells and fireballs. Then I read some combat tips and I had the Wand of Silivias. But it didnt seem to work where you supposed to push Xanathar back to this spike trap so I adopted my own strategy. I ran to the room with the spike trap and literally fought him by running around the room, attacking him and avoiding his frontal spells. It was hard but eventually effective. I nearly had a crisis because I used a save game when he was down to 50% of health but then my front line fighters got killed and I accidently saved instead of restoring And because you only have 1 save game and load game that meant I was stuck with a party of 3 dead party members and these were the only people who could harm Xanathar. But I ran away and luckily my Cleric was still alive and I had 2 Raise Dead scrolls so I used that to resurrect my fighters, heal and return to the battle and I was able to win and defeat the diabolical Xanathar I am now playing EoB2 and I decided to import my previous party, I have just started and already I can see some improvements like how magical items are identified and multiple save games. Very appreciated change to EoB1 If someone had to ask me " why should I play such an old game like EoB1 when there are all these amazing new games with beautiful graphics and modern features " My answer would be these types of classic games capture the excitement and ambience of dungeon exploration better than any modern game and they always will. Modern games are great but if you want to experience the true thrill of classic D&D exploration you wont find a better way of doing it than from games like EoB And finally it gets a solid 70/100 on the globally respected " BruceVC game rating system "
  11. I'm testing this myself and firstly I thought this got fixed because my Enduring Flames last 10 sec, then I realize that's because My Goldpact has INT of 5, and Enduring Flames has duration of 10, it is firstly reduce by INT by 30% -> 7 seconds, then critical hit increase it's duration by x1.5 so it ends up being 10.5 seconds. So I was confused by this 10.5 seconds earlier and thought it's patched. Based on MaxQuest's formula here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91903-question-about-dots-and-hots/#comment-1893595 Fixed DoT's total damage is only affected by Might, not hit_quality_modifier, however duration is affected by hit_quality_modifier... And this results in a stupid conclusion, Crit on Enduring Flames increase it's total duration, which leads to more ticks being eaten by DR lol. In some extreme case, for example you have 20 INT, if you crit on FoD and Enduring Flames will last 22.5 seconds. Although your FoD damage is increased by 50%, but that's additive bonus so not actually x1.5 more damage, it's way less than that if you have other additive damage bonus. But Enduring Flames takes so long to tick that it's per tick damage might be completely eaten by DR in this case.... NOTE: I also found the Solitary gauntlet fits a low INT build very well, as it's actually an aura to check if there's any allies nearby. This aura is reduced by INT So a dumbest character can stand beside an ally and still benefit from the solitary buff. From what I read, it increase your MIN damage by 25%, so potentially increase average damage by 10%. This is a multiplier on average DPS, not additive so very powerful.
  12. Black Path is generally considered an below average talent in power. And Bleakwalker usually doesn't have enough talents to pick it. You pick Intense Flame, Remember Rakhan Field, Scion of Flame, Spirit of Decay, Two Weapon Style, that's already 5 talents and only 3 left. Apprentice Sneak Attack, Weapon Focus, Savage Attack, Deep Faith are all very competitive with the left 3 slots so there's no room for Black Path.
  13. The Outer Worlds: Spacer Choice's Edition is more like Publisher's Editions. The game made by Tim Cain and LeBo is just "The Outer Worlds".
  14. To continue the tradition of "Mysterious conspiracy quest that ends in cliff hanger and doesn't answer question". Or at the very least as a joke follow up for Hagen's tin foiled quest.
  15. My partner and I have encountered a problem where the infected wolf spider that spawns in the oak tree is stuck in the ground. We can hear it moving around but have no way to get a visual on it or damage it. What could we possibly do to get it's spawn to reset?
  16. Hmm this seems to be a bug only occurs in saves from old version of game, starting a new game and the ability works as intended.
  17. I play Grounded with my two kids. We have a save game that the 3 of us have always played on Mild. Recently, one of my sons characters can be attacked even on Mild. He can't damage us, but we damage him. I switched to Whoa mode and he can't damage us still, even though friendly fire should be on in Whoa!. I have tried having him relog, reloading the game, switching to and from Mild/Whoa mode, him hosting, me hosting, swapping characters with him, verifying his game files on Steam, Sleeping at the bed, etc. Nothing I do prevents him from taking friendly fire. I thought I saw this happen one time earlier and he relogged and fixed it, but now the issue persists. I have seen two other reports of this bug on the GroundedGame subreddit. Anyone have a fix or have also seen this issue?
  18. Just noticed I seem to be missing "male_human_e" watercolor from my Deadfire portrait folder. Anyone happen to have them to hand? Watercolors of everyone's favourite blond fighter companion from PoE1. Calisca! I've really enjoyed making them! It's a good excuse to noodle around with some filters and settings in Photopea that I never used before. Though I'm a bit frustrated to realise that pale elves, by default, can't have black hair... Which is a pain, since I was pretty happy with how that looked after floundering to change that portrait's hair color to white. As for the Aloth PoE1 portrait, your right he does look a little sunburnt in hindsight! I tried to match his face to his ears and hand in the vanilla PoE1 portrait. Which are likely that way due to the light passing through his skin. Anyway it's a simple enough to change that sunburn into a subtle tan! I didn't make any changes to the watercolors version from my previous post, but figured I'd including them in this post as well to save people having to scroll. Ooh that is a cool one! Through together an edit of the original portrait's watercolor to match.
  19. Yesterday
  20. And Homeworld 3 is out in a couple of days. Although I will probably wait for the gog version.
  21. It's very much so, I'm just extra grumpy because my friends went and bought the game even though I told them about the rootkit, but now all of a sudden they care about security breaches and inconveniences.
  22. It is indeed interesting to watch. Either the account requirement should have been enforced from the start (with the purchases being limited to the regions with PSN) or not at all. Curious if the digital distribution platforms are going to refund it. Edit. I've checked SteamDB. The game is no longer available for several regions. True, but the rootkit is less noticeable for an average user, while the game, as I understand, is online-only either way.
  23. Bernard Hill, Lord of the Rings' Théoden King, Has Died (gizmodo.com)
  24. Bumping this as the campaign has only five more days to go. It is funded, and now working towards stretvh goals. I backed it at 50 euro purely because they were considerate enough to include an integral RTwP option.
