  2. Iran will pretty much 100% blow it up themselves, if it looks like the US is going to seize it. At that point, why not. Hence the 'set american troops on fire' threat. That's the Russia 1812 comparison, Napoleon simply could not comprehend that the Russians would burn down Moscow to deny it to him and was convinced they'd negotiate. Indeed, he was convinced of that even after they'd burnt it down which is why he sat in the ruins for 4 weeks twiddling his thumbs. Blowing up desalinisation plants and power stations is certainly the easier option in the sense that it can be done and would have an effect. But even Trump would likely baulk at being remembered as the guy who depopulated the middle east out of pride. The best option/ approach would be to not be in this position in the first place. No good answers now, no one wants to bail him out, and Trump isn't handling it well. Best option may actually be to just declare victory and leave the mess to others (which as of now he seems to be suggesting; then again a few hours ago it was something different) and that is still an awful option.
  3. Yeah, I read about the crit pictos after I posted that. As for mastering pictos I just dump them on Lune and so I keep up with any new ones. The bigger issue I have is missing them, I know I missed one in the area before the gestral village that gives you +1 ap at the start of battle and at this point in the game it's a bit of backtracking to get it (just got Monoco). Luckily I find out about that little nugget soon after the arena so I didn't have to reload much. I remember that from watching the stream that eventually you start getting a ridiculous numbers of them. The biggest problem I have, and this is applicable to any game of this type, is that I want to explore everything before I move on the main story. At this point I only leave a fight for later if I cannot see the health bar of the enemy moving when I do damage. The flip side is that it trivializes main story enemies, but such is life. Pretty sure you can and if nothing else you can lower the difficulty. As majestic already mentioned, if you cheese, which is not hard, you can one shot most enemies. Although it takes a while to get to that point, but until then you can pump health and defense.

  8. Got the 5070 Ti a few months ago (before the ai price hike) for my htpc, and I'm surprised how much it can rival and surpass my 4090 in games with the multi frame gen + path tracing, and also remain cool and energy efficient. I mean I can tell the ai frames aren't real in Crimson Desert thanks to the slight input lag, ghosting and artifacting grass, but smooth is smooth I guess
  9. To weigh in here, yes - later in the game weapon scaling becomes much more important. You really want to have both weapon scaling stats maxed, as well as might. That is because at some point you'll be getting pictos with really hefty bonuses beyond anything your stats can provide you, but what they don't provide is extra base damage. What they do provide is massive damage scaling. Also, good tip, don't be like me and ignore pictos mastery for pictos you don't want to use right away or don't see a point in mastering. It's better to unlock them while playing the game than having to grind for them later, and yes, that includes the somewhat silly seeming pictos that insta-kills the character wearing it. Of course, you can also just learn every enemy patterns and spend hours trying to learn how to defeat the endgame challenge boss the "fair" way, or you can just hyperscale your damage and kill them before they even get a turn. Don't be shy about using your consumables and upgrade materials. You'll eventually find a way to farm as many colors of lumina as you want. Perfect chroma catalysts used to be limited, but even they can be farmed as of the DLC - although you probably want to use them to unlock the final upgrades for weapons that really help you deal with the endgame - again, don't be like me and finish the Endless Tower before finding your first perfect chroma catalyst. It is so much easier to go through the insane boss grind with, uhm, doing proper damage.

  11. Yep. That should have been apparent long ago. But I think the technology is only just reaching the point where it is economically valid to implement renewable energy use on a widespread basis. Redacted's attempt to hold the US back on this is foolish. The energy transformation is going to happen, and the US risks falling behind badly.
  12. But windmills are eating the cats, or something.
  13. I have not played it yet, but from what I understand, it is possible to make a "tank" build as well, if players has to much issues with parry and dodge QTEs.
  14. Seems like memory shortages might be a history for a while. Micron's stock is nosediving. as it looks like OpenAI overpromised in their deal, and in my region we got price reduction of 30% at the biggest retailers in last two days. Do you have similar experiences around the world?
  15. I think it would be really nice if grounded 2 got events into the game, like rain causing there to be a surplus of dew drops.

  17. I wonder if Trump will wind up becoming the greatest single factor for the adoption of alternative energy globally. Leaders across the world are faced with a situation where a handful of not particularly wise individuals are able to severely hamstring the flow of energy from the gulf region, possibly creating a global recession, and however this war plays out it's quite unlikely to be a permanent settlement of the issue. All of a sudden windmills and solar panels start looking like a good idea.

  20. This is one of my highest priority asks. Hot deposit is mandatory for games with this kind of inventory management, but I also need to be able to keep my armor repair parts on me without having to search every box in the world after I hot stack.
  21. Scientists shocked to find lab gloves may be skewing microplastics data Face-palm emoji. 🤦‍♂️ This will not look good on your annual performance review...
  22. Kharg Island was put out of commission during the Iraq-Iran war, so Iran has been through this type of oil shipment denial before. I'm skeptical they will bow to threats to occupy the island or blow it up, when they can effectively keep the Straits of Hormuz closed to oil traffic, then charge a high toll fee. Redacted's other threats to Iran would deal a hardship to the Iranian people, but I doubt it would remove the current government. The longer this war goes on, the greater the time and repairs necessary to get the goods flowing again. It's looking like a pyrrhic victory for the US.
  23. Me and my wife broke the questline on accident by completing the "sowing wild Limes" before finishing the "Beyond the garden" wall quest. By doing this the leaky faucet never triggered and thus cannot repair the hose, sprinkler system, or fight the boss at the end of wild limes. Is there a fix for this or anything that can be looked at in fixing this issue?

  30. Hard to see how that could be done. If you go by what the US claimed earlier it's mostly sitting under tons of rock, after all. Going to fly in some excavators and backhoes on a Globemaster you land on some back country Iranian road? Yes, that is answered in the article, but taking up to weeks to set up a temporary airstrip in the middle of Iran would seem to have one or two minor potential problems associated with it. Even if they don't think of Dien Bien Phu they could always think about Hostomel. And for below, Russia in 1812 or the USSR in 1941. Kharg Island makes more sense. Not much sense either, since it's near inevitable the Iranians would blow all the oil infrastructure up themselves if the US tried to seize it, and then it's just a very hot flat rock. (I actually wondered what had happened to Hegseth yesterday, since he seems to have disappeared. Then I saw an article saying that they seem to have given up on doing briefings about two weeks ago)
  31. I just finished a veteran run with this character and I loved it. This build is lots of fun all around and you can feel the power spikes through the entire game but especially when you start pooping skeletons automatically. I used most of the gear described here and it worked great, but I strongly recommend the Helm of the White Void for the headgear as soon as you can tackle the Beast of Winter because causing body and mind afflictions is what you will do most of the time. If I had to nitpick something is the chanter starter ability, I understand why it is there, but the skeletons fall off fast and I wish I could use those ability points somewhere else later in the game. And do we need Penetrating Visions since the only spell that makes use of it is Soul Shock? I also wished that I had an extra ability point just for the Eld Nary invocation, even with only 10 might that ability is 🍌🍌. May be on the next run I will try the Pindown Poet or something with a Monk, because rangers and monks are the classes I least use.
  32. I'm not a big fan of the Cipher class in general but I really like the Psion - and I really like the Psion/Troubadour, too. It's one of my most beloved class combos: The Ceaseless Siren
  33. Ah, you started reading the manga. That's cool! As I said Fire Punch also had an atypical ending, but here it just felt like he wrote himself in to a corner and gave up. Then again maybe people just had expectations that he never promised in the story to meet. I'm genuinely curios to hear what you think. On a aside, I read the first five chapter of Koi to Yobu ni wa Sasayaka desuga (It's Not Quite Love Yet, but...) that are out (it's monthly :( ). This is an original story from the godhand of slice of life Hagiwara Daisuke. I'm now itching to reread Horimiya.
