Some far-right group pressured Steam and Itch.io into removing content by lobbying the payment processors. I'd guess that it was not so much due to those particular a*holes, but because of the general political situation in the US. Nonetheless, let us stand together against censorship. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/itchio-apologise-for-frustration-and-confusion-after-delisting-thousands-of-nsfw-projects Petition: https://www.change.org/p/tell-mastercard-visa-activist-groups-stop-controlling-what-we-can-watch-read-or-play Contact information of the payment processors: Mastercard Phone (US): 1-800-627-8372 US option selection for operator: 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 1 Phone (outside US): 1-636-722-7111 Email: customer_support@mastercard.com Online form: https://www.mastercard.com/us/en/personal/get-support/ask-mastercard.html Visa Phone (US): 1-800-847-2911 US option selection for operator: 1, 1, 2 or 1, 1, 3 Non-US phone numbers: https://usa.visa.com/contact-us.html Email: askvisa@visa.com Online form: https://usa.visa.com/Forms/contact-us-form.html Paypal Phone (US): 1-888-221-1161 Phone (outside US): 1-402-935-2050 Hours: 6am - 6pm PT Online form: https://www.paypal.com/uk/cshelp/complaints -

Well meant Foxconn as in their promises of investment that turned out to be much less impressive, actually. Heh. -

Yea, I think I'm in for quite a bit of trial and error with this. Which as I said, is fine and I'm looking forward to because when it's 'your' game and your installation, it kind of forces you test things and understand the ins and outs, which gives you more insight on the way these game engines compile things and how the mods interact. Thanks for replying.

.character files are used by the game to load premade characters into the game. The file is pretty much a .zip file of a sort. Anything that can open those (7zip for example) can open it. It contains these 3 things: "gui" folder - matches the folder structure of the portraits folders, contains the 4 images that make up the character's portrait. a .objsav file - Basically a snap shot of the character object. I think... "manfest.json" - A json file containing information on the character. Not sure of anywhere except .savegame files (which can also be opened in the same way described above), where .objsav files are use. And sadly not aware of any program that can open them. Which is a shame, as depending on what they actually contain there would likely be interesting applications if they could be modified. External character generators for example. Otherwise the "manfest" file can be opened in any text editor. It's use seems the be primarily to populate the information seen in character creation or recruitment screen at an inn. As well as when uploading the character to the Steam Workshop. This is my best guess for what each property of the file is is (??? = Unknown): "Version": 1, - ??? "Name": "", - The name of this character. "InstanceID": "", - The GUID for the instance of this character game object. This matches the name of the .objsav file. "Stats": {}, - The respective attribute scores of this character before any race and culture modifiers. "Subrace": "", - The GUID for the subrace of this character. "Gender": 0, - The gender of the character. 0 = male, 1 = female. "CharacterLevel": 1, - level the character is when they are exported. "Classes": [], - The GUID\s of the class/classes the character has. "SmallPortrait": "", - Directory of the small "_sm" portrait used by this character. "LargePortrait": "", - Directory of the large "_lg" portrait used by this character. "IsFromCheatGame": false, - Whether "IRoll20s" was used to activate cheats in the game this character was exported from. "ContentType": 1, - ??? "SteamItemID": 0, - Likely the "Author": null, - name of the author. "DefaultVisibility": 0 - ???

US car manufactures don't make their cars fully in US, where Japanese manufactures don't rely on imported parts usually and as Trump had great idea to put higher than 15% tariffs for countries where US manufactures buy their parts than. So end result is peculiar situation where US car manufactures suffer from higher tariffs than Japanese manufactures and when this is combined with fact that US manufactures need pay more their workers than Japanese manufactures, Trump has succeeded to increase price of US manufactured cars more than Japanese manufactured cars. US new car sellers are the ones that suffer most of these changes because they need to cut their profits in order to keep people by cars from them. EDIT: So these trade deal as things are now looks like one that will just increase US trade deficit with Japan and increase amount of taxes that US people pay for their cars. -

Yeah, but for every Foxconn there are dozens of US businesses that are hurt by Tariffs. It's going to be a two-way street, and in the end it's a gamble how it will all turn out. They also destabilize the market, reducing incentives to invest in the short term, and make the US less competitive. -

Sandman. They took some liberties I don't think they should have, but overall a good series. -
No, even if you stack also warrior stance, superior deflection and so on, unless you actually keep yourself far from the fight (going far from rest of the party) but the best option could be a potion of invisibility or something like it. Without going away from fight, a wizard/monk with self buffs should have better odds than a brawler in earning wounds IMHO.

Oh, ok, I don't have many experience with mod since BG1 times (yes, about 1999 ) and I back in the mod "mood" just with PoE2 I don't know how Skyrim or other game mods work, but I have taken a glance and tried some nexus and steam mods and I can say that it is all about the developer of the mod. You can find mod which really change a little bit of the game (i.e. one or two weapons or equip) and put only a little file for the mod with quite no "dispruption" for other mods, and the SAME mod can be done changing a big unique whole file which will conflicts with every other mod that touch weapons or equip. So, I doubt you can find any guide or whatever about mod loading and priority because it should mean that a people before you have tried all the mods you wanna install and say "this one can be loaded first, this one after the first, this one instead is not compatible with mod A, B and C"... and so on for 80 or 90 or 100 mods... it is because of that I said "there's no way"... maybe someone did it and I don't know, but the best chances are: "major" (you can read "most popular/most used") mod can be loaded with each other and, in the case, in the guide there are list of compatibilities and load priorities; mods from the same developer are compatible (at least, I hope!) and in the case he/she provides list, guide, priority etc...; little mods can work with major, maybe dev have tested them, maybe it used to work a day but then there was a change in a major mod and dev of the "minor" mod didn't fix issues ... in few words: you can make any assumption until you don't install that mod with others Let us know if you find something, but for the reasons I'm saying I think you have little chances...

Finished the Black Company series. Soldiers Live sure had Cook pruning things, I can only assume he meant to leave the series at that point based on how it goes. The ending is rather sweet, in a way, even if everything is rushing a bit. Read Port of Shadows and it's a rather weird book, so much of the book is lies in universe - or at least I think so. Some people say it's an actual sequel and Lady is time traveling, which....could make some sense. -

I'm starting to view the tariffs as a form of gambling, a tactic that DJT seems to enjoy. They don't really generate significant wealth on the whole, but they can be used as a type of shell game with presumably DJT being the only one who knows where the marker is hidden. The real victim of the tariffs will be the public, through higher prices and more limited good selection. -

Yes, I agree This deal wont benefit US car manufacturers by definition because imports provide alternatives to local goods And well priced imports now become competitive with locally produced goods But thats the nature of trade around exports and imports, its a balance and really a decision that consumers make Im sure none of us want to live in a country where you cant find any imported goods I buy EU imported cheeses all time, they obviously more expensive but you cant find the same type of cheese around taste in SA like Roquefort, Gorgonzola or UK mature Cheddar -

Japanese car company stocks exploded while GM's dropped. Fairly easy to see who "won" the deal. US car makers aren't going to sell a single car more in Japan while their cars now have an advantage over others, and Japan can really use rice imports at the moment, rice prices are becoming a huge problem for the government. Not that the US is exporting or even producing a whole lot of rice anyway. Trump's really a master of negotiation and deal making. His tarrifs are now screwing over GM more than Mazda, Toyota & comapny. -

I think I understand what you suggesting but here is better link around where and how the $500 billion from Japan will be invested and it raises legitimate concerns https://www.axios.com/2025/07/24/japan-trade-deal-trump-tariffs I do agree its uncertain and I can understand why anyone would think its a bribe but its also more complex and nuanced than that Firstly $500 billion is a huge amount if it is bribe, thats 14% of Japans GDP in 2024 End of the day Japan seems fine with this agreement and its because they know the benefit of access to the US markets Trump is not the reason the US is such a strong economy, this is an outcome of the decades of US economic growth and the overall success of its free market system But Trump can use this to his advantage and claim " wins " because countries want to export to the US so he can force transactional negotiations like with Japan and tariffs Thats the main point Im making, there was a general sentiment from many commentators that US tariffs wouldnt benefit the US or wouldn't be accepted by US trading partners But we not seeing that and every country that is significant seems to be folding and agreeing to some sort of deal that benefits the US China was suppose to be the best example of " standing up " to the US and Trumps tariffs but even they agreed to 30% tariffs and US exports to China are only 10% https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/czx0ry7kdk5o -

edit: also, if anyone really believes Japan or Japanese companies are going to invest a single yen more in the United States than they would have anyway thanks to this agreement, I have this here slightly used bridge to sell you for cheap. It's a great deal. A fantastic deal. The best deal ever. The bigliest biggest deal ever. Don't miss out! -

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/07/22/business/japan-trade-agreement-us Its not really a bribe, thats part of the negotiations in direct investment in the US. But they reached a trade agreement that benefits both countries. Japan will be charged 15% for exports into the USA This definitely benefits Japanese motor exports "The deal will see US importers pay 15% “reciprocal” tariffs on Japanese goods exported to the United States. But importantly for Japan, the 15% rate will also extend to automobiles and car parts - putting it at an advantage over other major vehicle exporters, which have faced a 25% levy on automotive sector exports since April. " Its interesting how Trump has been able to get countries to agree to these types of transactional trade terms and this is because of the strength of the USA economy and its buying power So we shouldnt use words like " vassals" because its about economics and if there were other export markets that could absorb the USA buying power countries would be using them It reminds me of our South Africa trade imbalance with BRICS, we have a trade deficit with BRICS of R230 billion and a trade surplus of R37 billion with the USA And yet now we facing US tariffs people are saying " lets just use BRICS to trade, we dont need the USA" But BRICS isnt buying our goods as much as they selling\dumping goods on us So BRICS is clearly not going to replace the USA as an export market But the main point Im making is no one is being forced to export to the USA, any country can decide who they want to trade or export with. If you can find other export markets then use them and just ignore Trump and his tariffs?
