  5. Then again, recently taken a look at pricing in the "good old times" over the longer term, e.g. loss of value over time. If you'd bought a 8800 GTX Ultra at the peak of the price and tech advancement wars, but a couple months later you could have purchased it new for like half of whatever you bought it for, no kidding. You can take a guess what that means when you decided to sell again and to upgrade... The same goes for any card during those years. My 3060? Is still sitting less than -30% off its MSRP in shops despite being released in early 2021. 3080s still sell for decent money on used markets as well. And the real pros more recent sold their years used 4090s with a net profit, despite no Covid nor Crypto craze in sight. Thus, a historical first in the history of PC hardware: people coming out richer some time after buying enthusiast hardware than before doing it. Plus, there's an entire generation now that doesn't even know how actually demanding real PC show cases used to be. Even trying to run those things on hardware released two, let alone six years earlier would have seen you laughed out of the room. Ok, this is Borderlands and no Crysis. But still. Where was I? AH: Ugh, that new Outer Worlds 2 companion trailer is pretty meh. Even visually, those supposedly special "companions" look like something that may appear on-screen by pushing "random" in a Bethesda-style character editor. Yeah, I get it, it's all part of the joke. But if it's all a joke, why bother? Then again, what counts is the RPG inside of the RPG. The Outer Worlds 1 certainly left some room for improvement...
  6. ukraine can no longer be nato proxy if they have nuke they will not allow it
  7. We've seen this sort of thing (protection guarantees) before, and it rarely works out well for the protectee. I certainly wouldn't believe any such guarantee coming from DJT, and it's even a bit iffy coming from other European states. Who knows what their motives will be down the road? There's a slightly better chance of success if European troops are actually stationed in Ukraine; even if just anti-air units. There's a much stronger chance of success if Ukraine were to rearm with nukes and delivery systems -- there'd be no chance that Putin would risk an invasion with Moscow less than 2,000 km away.
  8. New Rollie pollie buggie. Pulls a cart, Cute. You can climb in. He curls up in a ball and you’re “impenetrable” or maybe it can roll away. Haha bumblebee mount. To balance it. It’s like a hot air balloon. You ride under it. You’re too heavy for it to fly super high. Just above the grass. it can carry supplies. You can fire arrows down from it. maybe if you go to high a bird swoops down and eats you. The higher you go the more likely a bird will swoop down and kill you. new ENEMY TYPE centipede. scary. Poisonous new neutral type buggie- millipede. cute and smaller. Can be a mount multiple people can ride on. The passengers can shoot at enemies. change the rideable spiders “bow” (handles) or ad an optional armor that’s like the scorpion armor. That would look cool. give buggies armor types. make ant buggy carry everything in its mandibles. My game glitched and the and carried a stack of grass in its mouth. It looked cool. add leaf cutter ants. New tadpole buggy. He’s barely got his legs. 2, maybe 4. He’s a baby. can swollow small buggies. Slightly larger than the lady bug. Can hop. (This one is for fun and cute factor) he can be used in a small swampy biome large puddle/ micro pond. A “corrupted biome” above water, but more pleasant under water, with a few creepy surprises down there. Water striders maybe. it will be some kind of deep standing water. With a mucky rotting leaf biome. Centipedes millipedes and Rollie pollies will be here. Black widow, brown recluse. This will be a hard biome for late game exploration. The tadpole. He can swim down. You need to make the “air bubble helmet” by killing bugs that lay their eggs in this water biome. There will be dragon fly larvae here, and other creepy things. Cute lace wing dragon flies and the larger dragon fly larvae. That spider that can use air bubbles. an ant hill here, they eat the dead tadpoles on the shore from the evaporated area. There is the small red wasp here. About double the size of the mosquito. more clothing options for the leaf type and grass type. A leaf hat would be cool. That looks like a rice paddy hat.

  10. As an 80ies nerd I felt right at home in Night City. The setting's not for everyone though - not even for other 80ies nerds. Game's pretty good though, easily CDPR's best in terms of writing and thematic exploration. It's also everything a FromSoftware game would like to be when it comes to storytelling by item descriptions and little bits of lore found here and there - in addition to, you know, having an actual plot. Which is a little hole-y in the first chapter due to it being seemingly hit the hardest by time constraints (i.e. cuts). I am, generally speaking, not someone who replays games a lot, with two exceptions. The original Wing Commander and Cyberpunk 2077. That is not to say that I didn't like other games more (Ocarina of Time and Planescape: Torment come to mind, among others), it's just that there's something about Night City that makes me come back. In spite of starting with my least favorite RPG setup that there is: First person and open world. Guess it helps that Cyberpunk 2077's open world busy work is limited to randomly shooting criminals for bounties, and the storyline is rather focused and not bogged down by having a lot of - mostly irrelevant by the end - choices and consequences outside of deciding which ending you want, including the Phantom Liberty ones. The gameplay itself is, well, I guess fine. Netrunning is still as broken as it was in 1.6, except in different ways. LMGs are still fun to play with, but not really viable, Assault Rifles still suck compared to virtually everything else, and a bunch of little things here and there, but there's something about the game that made me play 550 hours already, and single player games rarely get that much time out of me.
  11. I noticed that I've become like the Q continuum and the Q in them, as depicted by the Voyager epsiode Death Wish. Just an endless, dusty road with the same people who read a newspaper and every now and then talk about the same things - because everything's been said already.
  12. In Grounded 2, walls can be placed at either 90° or 45° angles, allowing for a variety of structures. However, some building pieces, such as doors and their frames, don't follow this logic: they cannot be placed at 45° angles. This limits creativity and prevents bases from being harmonized with doors at diagonal angles. Proposal: Allow players to place doors and door frames at 45° angles, similar to walls. Thanks you !

  13. Not sure if it's dead or not but I'd love to do one on Obsidian's accessibility features.
  14. Got the thumbnail issue again. It appears to happen when I'm at the first ranger station by spawn/snack bar. Some more notes Unable to hot swap just the stuff I want. It's all or nothing. I hate that because you can't have a torch in a box, for example, because then every time it will hot deposit every torch. Or bandages. Or any other supplies you might want to keep on you at all times. (X) Attack instead of dig/chop for seed/spider web - Should show the RT button Disabling sprint every time you run out of stamina. This is so annoying early game. Creature cards resistance and weakness is swapped. Was doing the opposite of what I should because I was just thinking the cards and assumed the top was weakness and the bottom was resistant. Showing the store on the main menu goes straight to the MM&M pack checkout screen. No store page or details at all. Settings: you explain what gamma is but not chromatic abberation Randomly crashed hand crafting crude rope

  16. Enshrouded gets wet! This is a pretty big change to the whole game world. I've been playing a lot lately. I love the desert biome.
  17. late to the party, but just wanted to add that IME in general normal difficulty deadfire strikes me as easier than poe1, and in fact original potd deadfire was easier than poe1. even outside turn-based mode, combat runs slower so you have more time to think about stuff or notice stuff. the earlier encounters are also balanced better (i remember getting wrecked in the temple or in a violent approach to raedric). that being said, like chaospread says, PotD + scaled + magran challenges is a whole other animal. def harder than poe1.
  18. additional reason to give mage this stuff, is because it gives them the physical damage types, it would let them access stabbing (with the spiderlings), or slashing with a red ant staff.
  19. I made this suggestion in the bugs and feedback topic on accident, but I meant to add it here. I think a roly-poly (pill bug) buggy would be awesome. A cool feature would be that the player’s seat is attached to both sides of the roly-poly via weedstems that create a sort of archway above the roly-poly, containing the seat and possibly turret. This way, when the roly-poly rolls, the player isn’t attached and doesn’t roll under it lol because that simply wouldn’t work. I think the roly-poly’s roll mechanic would be great for speedy travel, but also damaging and stunning enemies. It would have to be a tough one to get though, in order to balance the difficulty because it would be super fast, have a lot of armor, and do a lot of damage. Thank you for reading!
  20. Just a feedback suggestion: I think you guys should make roly-poly’s or “pill bugs” a new buggy. I think a cool feature would be the player’s seat being connected to the roly-poly via two wooden/weedstem arms creating an archway over the roly-poly which contains the player’s seat and possibly turret, so that when the roly-poly rolls, the player isn’t attached to the roly-poly because that simply wouldn’t work lol. I think roly-polys would be a cool tier 3 buggy that are super fast with their rolling and also have really good armor. Thank you!
  21. The Almighty may be harder to fool than Americans.
  22. yeah, it's getting better. I'm starting to like it.
  23. One more issue I found was the thumbnail on the auto save can appear to not load all assets
  24. I have been playing Grounded non-stop for the past month or so and wanted to try out Grounded 2. Here are my initial reactions. Dropping notes here since I'm sure many are already known. Happy to write up full bug reports for anything below with screenshots. PROS: LOVE the Omni tool. Thank you! Love being able to hold X to harvest. Excited to see the new possibilities with a park map. Having different menus for crafting different things (workbook, hand crafting, omnitool thingy, etc) took some getting used to but I think it's more intuitive this way and will be better in the long run. CONS White (default) trail marker label is yellow. I thought I was going crazy so I switched to yellow and it looks the same. Had my GF verify I wasn't seeing things. Grounded had the most unique UI I've ever seen. It took a long time to get used to it. And now I have to relearn everything it feels like. Hate having to hold x to drop things. Also holding x doesn't work with only one. So you have to go back and forth between holding and pressing X depending on how many you have. Able to get the Omni tool popup without being able to swing it. Usually when it is interrupted, you have to walk away and come back to get it to work again. Hitbox too sensitive, swinging clover often get stuck mid swing. Often when trying to pickup things you have to be pixel perfect with the cursor. Which is annoying on console Mutation quest doesn't start counting until you leave the lab. Specifically the kills with a spear was still 0 after killing the first mite in the tutorial. Same as the dropping stacks. Can't super build with one item left. My default is to just hold it down to super build but if only one item is still needed, it's not an option. Dandelion drop rate is way too low. I thought it was too high at first in Grounded, but soon realized you really need that many with how much platforming there is in a game not designed for platforming. (Not a complaint just an observation) New items: I was hoping Grounded 2 would solve this problem, not exasperate it. When you have new items in the crafting menu (!) you have to scroll down to find them. But the only way to scroll is by going through them all so you highlight them before you see the (!). In the first game you could get around this by scrolling to the bottom of the viewable list, moving the cursor over to the ingredients and then back to the list and it would push the list down another 3-4 items. This way you could see an item before you highlight it. You can't even do that now.
  25. Today they released a teaser for him He looks absolutely HORRIFYING and I’m here for it. This boss looks very impressive and well done I am beyond excited!
