What are you Playing Now? Volume XIX: The New Beginning of the End of the Middle
As with every year, the holiday period is spent visiting my parents and playing co-op games with my sister. The wrap-up: Kingdom: Two Crowns - Charming if obtuse design. Technically a rogue-lite I guess but so mild as to lose only minimal progress with each death. This becomes especially true in co-op mode as it becomes especially hard to truly die as it then requires both players to lose their crown at the same time. Ultimately there isn't a whole lot of content in the game, all done within a single-digit amount of hours. After getting back home I tried the Shogun campaign, knowing in advance that it's 99% a reskin of the standard European campaign, but all it did was confirm the game doesn't really have meaningful replayability. PlateUp! - If Kingdom was the mildest possible roguelite, then this is at the opposite spectrum. The only meta-progression really is being able to start with a couple of appliances in future runs. Anyway, while visually rather bland, that's obviously not the point of the game. Instead, its main selling point over something like Overcooked is the strategic element required in designing your restaurant before running it. You then are challenged to keep it going for 15 consecutive days without a single failure, and that's the standard way to play the game. There's another face to it all though, and that's a Factorio-like (I think, I've never played Factorio) automation challenge. This is one of those games where by design, you fail eventually because the volume continues to ramp up not just from days 1-15, but indefinitely. I only got the smallest taste of this side of the game, mostly because it only really becomes possible after the 15-day mark, in the optional "overtime" period. That is, you've "won" the level but choose to keep playing until death claims you. I suppose it's apt then, then the only way to stave off death near-indefinitely is to become wholly machine. For The King 2 - This is a game I heard had a really rough launch a couple of years ago, with many players questioning whether it could actually become a better game than its cult-classic predecessor. Just as well then that I didn't try it until recently, and it seems to have matured into a pretty solid product. There are still glitches and general UI jankiness that give a glimpse into its premature launch, but I'm happy to call it an improvement on the first game. The biggest change for mine isn't the limited positioning system added, where you are no longer three characters standing side-by-side, but four characters (plus a posse of optional mercs and pets) arranged in a 2x4 grid (though it's baffling that your starting position within that grid is mostly random). Instead, it's the revamped action economy where instead of simply having a single action per turn, but having a primary and secondary one instead. The main upshot of this is that your offensive moves no longer come to a screeching halt whenever you need to do something like taunting, moving out of a flaming tile, or simply reloading your gun. One recurring criticism I see is that the main campaign is now broken up into five separate ones instead. The sum of the five is of course a fair bit longer than the single campaign of the original game, but this means there is zero continuity between the campaigns in terms of your characters. Instead, you start each leg with a fresh new level 1 party, with the old level 8-9 party being forcibly retired each time. An odd decision indeed, but perhaps excusable in the context that the game scales poorly at high levels. Hades - Yeah, unlike the others this isn't co-op, it's just what I've been playing solo this month. Day late and dollar short obviously given the sequel has been out for a while now, but I'm holding off on purchasing it until it arrives on the Microsoft Store. An odd thing to do you might think, but the ability to play the same copy and continue the same save between my PC and my Xbox have been invaluable. Anyway, it's a good game with great presentation, with my expectations perhaps set a little too high due to the pre-existing hype. I feel it's a bit too bullet-spongey and visual clarity can also be an issue, especially on smaller screens (and in this context, 55" feels small). Now I've only just cleared the game for the first time, and I'm well aware through genre convention that this is the point where the game truly starts, but I'm not sure I'm really willing to invest that much time into this "post-game" content given the sequel is apparently a "true" sequel which does mostly the same things but better.

The All Things Political Topic - world tidings
Honestly, I think the Trump people being fine with their idol being a pdfile is the least surprising part of all of this. I hope there is some consequence for all of the Epstein people but frankly I think all of them, especially Trump, will see no real consequences from being accomplices to and participants in Epstein's pedophile ring.

The All Things Political Topic - world tidings
show your work. you near always misrepresent, so show where we made the accusation o' how you, "constant brought up hans blix." (edit: just one post where we specific note zor's reluctance to talk about blix given his error,) that you has brought up the accusation that the administration lied about wmds more than once, which is especial curious as one o' your supplied sources (blix,) has made it quite clear he did not feel coerced (also one o' your claims) and he believed that bush and the people around him were telling truth as they believed it. when finally confronted with the video evidence that your portrayal o' blix were inaccurate, you suggested that blix were being untruthful, 'cause y'know, blix is a diplomat. your blixing were dishonest and revealed a distinct lack o' character, just as your indifference to maligning cops, journalist or anybody regardless o' the fact that, as often as not you have no evidence o' a wrong... or make up evidence. it's your thing. Gromnir has a bizarre posting style, and you lie w/o remorse. we all got our thing, eh? and you did indeed share with us that you don't care about slandering journalists in the absence o' any support for your accusations o' their moral turpitude. if you stopped at suggesting reporters are incorrect, that would not be problematic, but you don't mind ascribing ill-intent to their work product. am not arguing that you failed to explain but am rather pointing out that your explanation is in fact an admission even if you fail to recognize the problem... another character issue we s'pose. quoting an academic, particular as we were using him as support, were hardly impugning his good name... not at all like your blixing. as we noted earlier, we opined that you has effective turned blix into a verb. obviously you don't want to talk about blix as you got caught misrepresenting his statements and when you were caught, you resorted to claiming blix were the dishonest one. low character and pathological dishonest. is also weird you would still refer to the video o' blix at berkeley as "mythical." you just can't give up on any stoopid claim no matter how ridiculous, eh? what a natural segue. but nevertheless, still before, this ... serious dude. even if it had been the only option we presented, if all we said were to ignore you, would not necessitate the recognition o' alternatives simply 'cause you had included "an option." and you clear did not recognize that we had fully dispelled the "one might wonder why," part o' the query. we explained, painfully, how and why we had no intention o' putting you on ignore anytime soon, and yet, even so, you wondered, maybe repetition will finally fill the mouth o' this zombie issue o' yours with enough salt to prevent your next resurrection effort. bets? this is a turin horse situation. am not knowing why you thought "option" had such significance, but it didn't, doesn't and is kinda a silly bit o' deflection... but that is also a zor thing, along with habitual blixing and making claims o' wrong doing before there is even the possibility o' meaningful evidence in support o' such a conclusion. btw, another day goes by and another day w/o pahlavi getting a mention in the headline or snippet share from an incognito google news return o' iran + protests stories up to a count o' 60. curious, there is now a britanica entry for the iranian protests o' 2026 (is listed as 2 days old and pahlavi is mentioned in the entry, but even zor would have difficulty making bread outta that flour,) and the following story, which we personal found interesting. Writers’ Voices Increasingly Missing in Iran Protests As Regime Targets Democracy Advocates Among those arrested at the December memorial service was Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Narges Mohammadi, who is emblematic of the enduring role of writers in Iran. Winner of the 2023 PEN/Barbey Freedom to Write award for imprisoned writers, Narges has used her voice to bind her personal sacrifice to Iranians’ collective struggle for democracy and freedom. She has spent more than a decade of her life in prison, separated from her husband and children. Just over a year ago, in December 2024, she was granted a temporary medical release. Despite the constant threat of being re-arrested, she immediately resumed her outspoken advocacy and stayed in Iran to keep up the fight. She has been a ceaseless, fearless voice capable of uniting people behind calls for equal rights, justice, and democracy. For that, the regime has returned her to prison. somehow we missed the news about narges mohammadi, which is about 7 weeks old at this point. nevertheless, if we type narges + iran into a search, am positive flooded with articles about her arrest. based on a mindless search return for narges + iran, a person who don't know how search engines work, or who is patent dishonest, might conclude that western media were trying to turn narges mohammadi into the sympathetic face o' the iranian protests... which would be a stoopid exaggeration o' reality, no? HA! Good Fun!

Multiplayer not working - You must log in to an Xbox Network account and have an active internet connection to play Grounded 2 Online
Still having the same issue, my game won't even load saves. I have to import and manually save then export. Also if I try to load an auto save it won't even recognize it. This is kinda crazy they are having this issue and completely ignoring the community and not acknowledging the issue with logging in.

Help needed for SC Priest of Berath Melee/Buffer
A single class Priest can absolutely fight in melee. It's just so that his damage output with a weapon would be better if he multiclassed with a class which added some melee prowess. But in general you can stand in the front line and swing a great sword. I place Xoit as SC Priest at the front line all the time - often with a Morning Star - and it works fine. Will she be tanking many enemies? No - but that's not her role. But she can stand her ground against an enemy or two for long enough. In Deadfire, a Priest of Berath can summon a spiritual great sword for himself which has a nice corrosive lash that grows if your reputation matches your god's dispositions. It can become quite powerful. That way even a single class Priest can contribute with weapon damage. If you are okay with giving up the highest tier spells you can multiclass with not much regret. I personally love to multiclass a Priest with the Helwalker Monk because this has two main kinds of synergies: better melee output: with stuff such as Lightning Strikes + Turning Wheel and some attack abilities such as Force of Anguish or Torment's Reach you can do some serious damage, especially when paired with the spiritual great sword (resulting in a shocking lash, a burning lash and a corrosive lash on the sword). Also the high MIG of the Helwalker leads to more weapon damage. the Helwalker can offer +15 MIG (+1 MIG per wound and +5 from Thunderous Blows) and +10 INT (Turning Wheel) which are both fantastic buffs for casting: INT enlargens the AoEs and prolongs all durations, MIG raises damage and healing power(!). Spells like Shining Beacon profit a lot from +15 MIG (higher dmg per tick) and +10 INT (a lot more ticks) and so does healing over time such as Consecrated Ground. Aso you can be a bit faster (Lightning Strikes add +5 DEX and +15% action speed) and get some other goodies. The Monk is a great multiclass choice for a lot of classes, Priest is no exception.

You don't actually care about honesty either- since you only care about other peoples'. You care about speculation, when it isn't you doing it, you care about other peoples' reputation, when it isn't you impugning them. That, my friend, is dishonesty, you were an expert in earthquakes, you just posted mr harvard professor to get a discussion going, I constantly brought up Hans Blix (hilarious really, last time you posted a list of links showing my obsession and it was you mentioning him first every time, you even found the link to your mythical video after I said I wouldn't watch it even if you did) etc etc: you're just consistently lying to yourself. I also told you why I don't care about 'slandering' journalists- this is a forum, not a literary review; and if they wanted credit for being correct once they'd have to accept the blame for being wrong all those times before. but it was also shared after you posted this: Clearly stated, by you, as an option, in the 1st person. As I've said repeatedly, you're constitutionally incapable of conceding an argument, so much so you have now resorted to- ironically- ignoring your own posts, instead of mine.

What are you Playing Now? Volume XIX: The New Beginning of the End of the Middle
My Steam "favorites" list currently/for a while has seven games that are in blue text, stating "update required/paused." To which I say - not right now/not ready, and then go Offline again when I'm done doing whatever I went "online" for. Tainted Grail: I liked the original release quite well, but the DLC didn't appeal - I bought it because it was a King Arthur-legend type game, not an undersea/cthulhu (or whatever) legends game. Oh I'm sure the Arthur lore is in there somewhere. But you know what I mean. But I keep it installed in case I ever want to replay the older/non-patched vanilla version I have backed up. I'm still waiting for a Stray 2. :P

- Ukraine Conflict - war continues on
Losses confirmed by intelligence agencies are recursive. They confirm what Ukraine claims because they are the Ukrainian claims- see also the CSIS numbers Bruce uses; they match the Ukrainian numbers for Russian casualties, they're not CSIS' own ones. They've also made some ludicrous claims like the Ukrainian counter offensive failing due to pro Russian shrubbery. I don't accept it, but I find that estimate to be more likely. That's partly due to the outlandish claims made by the other side for sure; it's certainly more likely than Russian soldiers wearing welding kit to burn off faces in no man's land. By its nature it would be a lower estimate. Thinking of it as being embarrassing to have losses is a bit of a 'western' (in this case comfortable or similar might be more accurate) concept: the whole DPRK shtick is that they're in a life or death struggle with the forces of imperialism. Showing losses actually enhances that narrative and they get to show that they have friends in the struggle too. You might compare it with some of the jihadi groups which are keen to publicise suicide bombers because they believe that they've gone to heaven and will encourage others in the struggle while westerners would decry it and never once think of condoning or celebrating it. Well, unless it's Ukrainian intelligence doing the bombing and the bomber is an innocent Azeri at least. Both those claims are propaganda. One is aimed at you, one isn't. (The stills are taken from a video from North Korean TV, no timestamp since you can see all the photos in the first frame)- Magran's Blessing Fire Shield Weapon Change
I love Black Jacket but hate that the Fire Shield from Magran's Blessing deactivates when you switch weapon sets and does not come back on when you switch back, wasting the effect's duration. This mod makes it come back on when you switch back so you get the full duration. Note, the duration is a running clock from the time combat starts so the clock is ticking while the shield is unequipped. Still behaves the same otherwise. I will put this on the Nexus soon along with my Red Flag Flying crash preventer mod. MagransBlessingFireShieldReignite.zip- The All Things Political Topic - world tidings
In other news, more Epstein files have been released and they contain some real vile stuff again. Trump is mentioned openly, not sure if they forgot to black his name or whatever is going on. But it's incredible he is still president and it doesn't look like anyone is trying to get him off of that post.- Grounded 3 idea! GAS STATION
I know I can’t be the only one with gas station nostalgia. I think it would be absolutely amazing to set Grounded 3 in the Gas station! The amazing food with their hot/cold and toxic biomes: Slushes, Fridge/Freezer- Hot foods like the iconic pizza and hotdog stands, shelf stable foods with all new recipes, trash cans for toxic areas, etc. Also, access to the bathroom and gas pumps (maybe a siphoning station for gas powered things!) you could even go as far as metal working and such with these resources! You could have neon fluid from a couple glow sticks left behind for neon aesthetics for armors and paints-neon deco etc. Bugs like all flying ones on outside lights and by the lights inside, cellar crickets for the bathroom, roaches, spiders in the corners, slugs creeping in, maybe some mouse traps for an ultimate mouse surprise enemy, all the things! These are all just my fantastical ideas, I’m sure not all of them would be obtainable l, but I would LOVE to see the gas station!Kassy started following Grounded 3 idea! GAS STATION- Gaza - War does not determine who is right - only who is left
They certainly don't feel much guilt for throwing all those brave hasbara fighters insisting that every dead palestinian was hamas and that the casualty figures were fraudulent for two years under the bus. And yes, already seen claims that the vast majority of the missing will be hamas fighters in tunnels, not civilians in collapsed buildings/ shelters/ bulldozed into mass graves.- Base raids still not working
It's a bummer, on top of that I'm missing some O.R.C. card from the first blender, as there are no raids I can't get them. I hope they fix it quickly, I don't understand how this update is not solved when we have been with this serious problem for months. Another failure that I have seen in my game, I have seen that some people work well but not that case, on the map I do not see the molars of the new area, they do not appear to me.- Obituary thread

Why is there an anime movie song in RLM's Revenge of the Sith video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYWAHuFbLoc&t=1319s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIyrnk9hy7M&t=26 ...Has Mike been a secret weeb all along?- Boss fight skipped, how to redo it?
We fought the ORC Broodmother and mysterious stranger with my friend and we died (i got stuck under the map and he died Fighting). We then proceed to reset the inventories to allow me to get my bag. And when we came back for the boss, it had disappeared and we can continue the story. We want to know if it is possible to respawn the boss even if we need to lose the rest of the story we did. The boss itself is an unknown girl fighting with a buggy launching acid attacks in the greenhouse. Oh, and the tree didn't spawn either. So maybe there was a bug between the new maj and the test version, or it is something new. Please tell us how to fight her and thanks by advance. - Ukraine Conflict - war continues on
