List of bugs that everyone should know about (Game Breaking)

Hello Developers,

 

As much as I love this game, I can not play the game in its current form. Which really saddens me. 

The reason being there are a few game breaking bugs that we can not even reverse ourselves.

 

List of game breaking bugs you should be aware about and fixing ASAP next patch. As we can NOT play the game as intended!!

The mother of all game breaking bugs and the main reason so many people are complaining that the game is too easy on HARD difficulty.

Loading a Savegame in the same map where you picked up a companion, and the companion is wearing armor that boost <random stats>.

Each time you load a savegame, the stats increase! do it 100 times and your character is INVINCIBLE.

Double clicking on a item (like armor, boots etc) and then it equipping on said character his perma stats disappear.

I personally didnt experience this yet, but this also hinders gameplay that much that it falls under the category game breaking.

The more you save, the longer it takes to load/save again, people reporting 20-30 hours into the game saves are taking aprox 30 sec to quicksave, and similar time to load.

Summoning Bug, where after combat the summoned creatures do NOT despawn, leaving you permanently in combat. You can NOT control

your summoned creatures anymore and they go with you every map... Workaround is probably loading a previous save for now but I have not confirmed this.

 

Similar thing to Stronghold, there is also a bug at the stronghold that after an enemy wave and you kill it. They keep coming back EVERY time you visit. I tried finding the source but couldnt find it here,, the lovely search function on this forum seems missing.

Endless Path level 13, spirits not giving password so you can not continue.

Strong Hold doesn't give tax, it only claims taxes  (lol). There are multiple topics about it, I just picked out these 2.

Thanks for your list. No. 1 did it for me: waiting for a patch now. My characters have compromised stats and I don't want to pay attention where I am 'allowed' to save...

In Sanitarium there is a possible bug where all enemies turn hostile, and the discussion currently is that it is not supposed to happen. I will add it here as the general consensus seems to be that this is not supposed to happen.

Having high int actually decreases DPS of your dots! I think by that logic having below 10 int would increase the dps of your dots.

So basically, if you look at the source thread. It looks like the developer switched A with B =)

 

Where 6 damage over 6 seconds with higher intelligence should be for example 8 damage over 6 seconds. The code right now does 6 damage over 8 seconds, so it takes longer with higher intelligence to do the same amount of damage compared to when you have lower damage. HAHA, quite funny :)

This needs more attention.  It could very well go untreated in the first patch without added emphasis.

My save is already beyond broken with the insane stats and missing passives/talents. I seriously hope for a patch to come out soon, not really fun waiting even further after having waited for so long already. Also I won't piss away the 17 hours I've already played

Bug listed as no. 1 is the killer for me. Absolutely gamebreaking. It really ****ed up my savegame.  ;(

 

I will stop playing until this one is fixed.

For some reason I am unable to edit my first post.

I can not update the bug list, I suspect there is a x duration after you posted that you can edit your post.

 

I would like to ask a moderator or something to help and make a list of all the bugs in order of seriousness. 

But I don't know when someone will read this.

 

I however can edit my second post, which is almost on the top. I will keep adding new bugs as people report. 

Please do try to link me the original source, and if possible with steps how to reproduce them.

The main point is a list of bugs with links to original sources that we (the community), preferably with the help of our moderators update the bug list.

My save is already beyond broken with the insane stats and missing passives/talents. I seriously hope for a patch to come out soon, not really fun waiting even further after having waited for so long already. Also I won't piss away the 17 hours I've already played

Could you please give an explanation how to observe if there are too high stats or missing talents?

Agreed this should be pinned. I would also add the temporary solutions to each one of them(for those that have one ofcourse, eg dismissing and re-hiring a companion fixes the stats)

I disagree about pinning the topic, because most of these bugs are not game breaking. "Game breaking" means "makes it impossible to play the game". Making characters stronger, wiping a few active abilities, or making it impossible to complete some optional content is not game breaking.

 

We'll get a patch later this week that will likely balance some of these issues, but it's completely possible to play the game start to finish without a hotfix.

Good note, I will edit my post and include them where-possible.

I do encourage the original source posters of each bug to include those in their posts though.

Makes it a bit easier for me to just keep a list, with short description what the bug entails.

Read 'nr1' original source topic. I think on page 3-4 there are examples with screenshots.

Or simply press C, and look under defenses.

 

also check if you have unusually high INT, Might, Constitution etc especially if one of your armors boosts that particular stat.

Is it confirmed that it's late this week? I think some of them should be adressed promptly, I agree that they don't break the game per se, but they are extremely awkward and honestly I do wonder how some of them passed the testing phase. I mean someone would've double clicked something at some point while testing, no? :p

The hunters companion bug literally makes you unable to play. You can't change the location because you get the 'party-must-be-gathered' message and if you don't have a previous working game save you are completely stuck.

Hall of Revealed Mysteries turns hostile with no proper warning. Without a workaround I would have lost around 15 hours. It is still game breaking because the workaround not always works.

For me, the most game breaking bugs are these:

 

- saving takes more and more time the more you progress

- stats increasing cause of loading

- ranger pet

 

you can avoid ranger pet bug, just dont play ranger. but if you got the bug, it can bug your game totally, the others are less worse in terms of buggyness. you just have to wait longer or game becomes to easy ;) 

 

still I think these NEED do be the main focus for the upcoming patch.
