I've been playing Natural Selection 2 the last couple of weeks. They seem to have finally ironed out all the gamestopping bugs thank goodness, now it's a really solid game. At it's best it really feels like a scene out of aliens when the marines are wandering about in the dark trying to fix the power while aliens lurk about in vents, under the floors and on the walls and ceilings. It's very atmospheric.

True. The game is very atmospheric and the combat works really well. The only thing that really bothers me is the save system.

There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

When will it be on PC?

I wouldn't hold my breath.

PC might get it if they decide to port the next one over.

Been playing Dragon's Dogma too, on my cousin's PS3. Surprisingly solid game. Looks great too.

I haven't gotten far enough for me to form an opinion, but the potential for a great game is certainly there.

This game is so limited! ;)

...the bloom/soft lighting is a bit much too.

What bothered me the most in Dead Island was zombies respawning every 30 seconds. Not much a big deal early on, but a huge deal in the city when you can never catch a break when you're bored with fighting.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

I became a god, and all I got was this typo'd gun... :(

Heh, lonliness :)

What game is that?

Dragon's Dogma was a fun game for a bit but eventually it got boring. Some good ideas though.

I just realized that I must have played close to 30 hours of Anno 2070 in the past 10 days...

I took wildlife screenshots.

Nice scenery in those pics, but the whale leaves a bit to be desired - especially in contrast to the nice bits below it.

Actually you aren't even supposed to zoom this close to the whale. They made complete models for big whales, orcas, dolphins, but they are meant to be only seen from above sea level. If you zoom this close in below sea, they quickly swim out of view and despawn. Takes a lot of swirling the cameras wierdly to quickly grab a shot of a whale that thought it was outside the view area ;) So I was actually kinda impressed they put this much effort into them, adding eyes and everything.

But after 91 hours of game-time (according to Steam anyway) I finally found out that hitting F1 enters "Postcard View"

That would have been nice to have known before...

So I made a couple more screenshots with that view:

and my off-shore rigs:

Still believe Trenchcoat's floating market is awesome. Some day I'll remember to crank the graphics settings up just to take a screenshot of it :)

And not in Postcard view and less peaceful:

What, exactly, am I supposed to be seeing here?
