Ever seen Office Space ? >_<

Oh well then, just usual workplace soul sucking or intense apathy. I also have 5 bosses now, w00t.

Do they ask you about your TPS reports?

 Good thinkin!

Stage 4

About 1 in 4 people (25%) with kidney cancer have stage 4 cancer when they are diagnosed. This either means the cancer has grown into the tissues around the kidney or it has spread to another part of the body. Overall, with a stage 4 kidney cancer, about 10 out of every 100 people (10%) diagnosed live for at least 5 years. But this is affected very much by the grade of the cancer. With a low grade cancer and local spread, some studies show 5 year survival statistics as high as 40 out of every 100 people (40%).

If its a few games of Baldur's Gate you can count on the cancer to give up and go away. >-:)-<

Depending on your relationships with great difficulty.

Or with really warped humour.

Case in point - one of my australian cousins was discovered to have multiple brain tumours just before christmas one year, and my mother was flying out a few months into the new year to visit the family there.

Derrek refused to have chemo because as he said "it's fatal regardless of what they do, but I'd rather have a few clearheaded months to spend time with my family and build memories for them, then to drag everyone down for a 5 months while I feel crap and can't do anything."

Anyhow, he insisted he would be at the airport to meet mom. My mother's response "Just as long as you're not counting your wife at the arrivals gate holding a bucket with your ashes as meeting me." Which he did get a laugh out of. They were batting that back and forth over christmas time.

Unfortuntely, he did pass away before she arrived. But when mom landed, his wife was waiting there. With a bucket.

Yes, yes they do. And in fact I get crap for not having my reports detailed enough aka up to some guy's idea of what they should be. Oh yeah and timesheets and a bureaucratic source control system.

Hope you pull through it, tarna. >_<

In layman's terms, if cancer were space pirates, tarna's battling them with laser cutlasses around the navcomputer.

Righty-ho, on the slightly cheerier note for the day, I've just spent the last couple of hours getting out to pick up the new graphics card and monitor, then uninstalling the old one, doing one major de-dust and cleanup, and install the new ones, plus the whole update software and assorted minor "admin" things related.

Now it's all nice and shiny.

I'm pondering whether to attempt to have the old monitor as a 2nd screen for the current setup... But right now I'm going to grab a fresh cup of tea and do a stop and pause for a moment.

I'm at a hockey tournament in South Lake Tahoe. We won a game this morning at 7 AM, went to the beach for a bit, and now we are getting ready for a 5:30 game. I like our chances, if we can stay sober enough we hopefully can get to the championship game.

Dang.. having one of those slightly light-headed saturdays where I want to just kick back and relax.. but I'm not sure with what.

There's no games calling my name that I'm in an urge to play.. I haven't got any fresh books to read.. the weather outside is grey and overcast threatening to rain..

Guess I'll have to figure something out.

Massive night of drinking last night, friend of mine is off to work in LA, about 70-80 people turned up to take over the keystone.

Awesome night.

Hurts today though.

I came up with Crate 3.0 technology.

Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.

Yeserday was just a crazy long day, but very good. We had a game at 7 AM, which we won, then we went back to camp and made some chorizo and egg breakfast burritos. Then we hung out at the beach and drank a couple beers. Grabbed a quick nap, felt the normal burn you get pooping out chorizo, and won our second game at 5:30 PM. The whole team then headed over to a casino and I had a pretty awesome dinner, made better by the fact I was starving. We hit the tables for a couple hours and I made enough to cover my dinner, and then back to camp to collapse.

Today should be a bit more relaxed, we only have one game. Unless we get blown out in this one we should make the championship game tomorrow morning with no problems.

Spent half the day figuring out what the hell happened to my gaming computer. Long story short the mobo died, and for some arsetastic reason so did both my 3d cards. I suspect a surge.

Or you know, gremlins.

I had something al most identical happen to one of the office PCs last week. How strange. I don't think I'm in Australia. I'm sure I'd have noticed all the venomous bestioids.

Celebrated my birthday today. Got pens and shoes, nice pair of Eccos too. Also watched Arsenal's first game. Wow, great refereeing in the EPL :ermm:
