  1. Ugh... I mean yuck. Mental note: don't read the entire thread, just vote and be done with it. I need a new set of eyes, these are ruined... The Carthy-licious Anomen part really nailed that coffin. The worst possible romance in BG2. Visas in service of the destroyer of her homeworld...and then the coolness totally peels off her when the general cuts her blade... At least I actually had an option to kill Juhani. Subservient is not on my list of cool traits. Juhani was pretty cool, too cool, unfortunately, and in my first game she got cool... My first encounter with Bao-dur was like "What?!" a pathetic creature. Kreia or Atton. The rest felt like "what the hell are all these people doing on my ship. "
  2. I suppose he is actually referring to classical english... " Subtleties, which are so easily lost unfortunately.
  3. "No you can't download it" - That's just uh, dandy. I appreciate the effort, but I fear that by the time it's done and public I'll either be fed up with K2 (which I haven't played in ages already) or moved to the next OS (even though I'll probably just add it as a third windows pc system, next to Win98, XP and...). Does K2 run on Win 64?
  4. It believe the last word is actually spelled with a u, but that section is actually the good stuff even though it do seem to be a bit to self-aware of the sex of the majority of gamers... But by fantasy you are actually just referring to AD&D rhombs? (I saw how SW was discarded)
  5. I don't mind english, but I hate american. I think Chirac is right in the quoted context, but I think it's pretty bad to dub movies for adults. Watching a movie where even zhe germans speak zhe americanisch is zhe vorst nitemare evar. 'Allo 'Allo is an exception of dub. The European Union is not United States, but sovereign countries and should treat themselves as such and respect their differences and language just as well as their uh, indifferences.
  6. His question was never answered and that's why this uh, whatever, hasn't been closed yet? I'm guessing it was a missing refresh 'cache' problem. Actually trying another browser next time, just to check on the state of your acount, might help you shed some light...and ditch Firefox while you are at it and get a real browser like IE or Netscape instead.
  7. I don't even have a bicycle - it was stolen last year. I just got a need for speed... 5 of them. Either I just don't feel like committing myself to monthly instalments spanning years or I never had that need. I would like a sports car, a ranger and a classy automobile, but not until I win the grand prize... as I would have to fund the roads myself too, to be able to actually do some speeding. It's more likely I'll get a motorcycle like a nimbus or something first though.
  8. Well.. in a good chatty moment on messenger I can make a few hundred entries in a few hours, before I loose interest. If I was part of a forum that allowed that level of oneliners and I had all day and I didn't really have a life besides that or that was my life and with a little training and zero self-restraint I could probably churn out several thousand posts a day, which would amass to half a mill a year... hm, no, double that and it would be... no. Deadly_Nightshades comment is probably the likely one. I'm still trying to finish Anachronox. It's very boring from time to time and the few invigorating cutscenes isn't quite enough to compensate for the repetitive grayscale clunky sleep inducing yawn-inspiring setting in the long run, and it's a long run. I'm at odds with the predominating genre. I've ruled out RPG and it has ceased to be an adventure or it never was, currently I think it's a collection of arcade games...
  9. Which isn't included in that rig?
  10. But there is still an OS requirement, I assume? "
  11. It's not a biblical question, but I think christ probably had one extra, which would explain the monkey business. :D
  12. I managed to match 25 of the patterns in the first test before I got a headache, not being native to english, us or superstitution was no help. It looks like a guessing game for kids at school with nothing to do. I'm glad that part of my life is behind me and that I actually have something to do... " Not really that much, but damn that was boring.
  13. If I die and discover there is a God I would be hallucinating and then my only question would be... 23. What is this **** and where can I buy more of it?
  14. It's nice to know that some devs don't rush it as we've already seen several times where that path leads... *not pointing anywhere close in particular*
  15. OEM toy to fight X800GT I've recently gotten an ASUS N6800XT AGP, which cost about
  16. Had a thread last year about a quest for certain CRPG's, where I got a few suggestions. Currently playing Anachronox. Not really what I'd call CRPG. And the excerpt on the back "...on their quest to discover who or what is trying to destroy the universe..." just seems completely out of place with the petty mercenary 'detectives' story I'm playing so far...
  17. Five years ago I was 'prepared' to 'get tactical' and play the greatest post nuclear tactical combat game in the Fallout universe - Fallout: Tactics.
  18. That said. Noone in my family tree has turned out to be immortal yet and the last one... Well, I wanna die younger or merrier than that. Happy Newyear!
  19. That's right. I'm not a geek. :"> I better take that test and get aligned...wait, I'm a geek (took that other test), but I'm obviously also lazy and spoiled and not easily distracted (that was a really boring test).
  20. Either that link isn't quite right or that is the most geeky geek test I've seen; Have to summarize the numbers yourself... that in itself should put you over the limit.
  21. Well, there are two kinds of people in this world, those with guns and those that dig and digging is probably a vital part of poetry... Glad you are happy.
  22. Erm... Hold down the RMB works like free look and change direction as if you had a crosshair. Or what do you mean?
  23. Learn by doing and keep doing it. Not much else to say. Except: have fun too.
  24. I used to use an older driver without the .NET based Catalyst Control center, but I recently upgraded it (because I had some problem with FSAA not working in some games) and now my 128MB 9600 PRO card is suddenly equipped with 512MB... (aperture size is only 256) but FSAA works. I don't have any problems with any games or stability issues however.
  25. Well... I'm still playing unpatched and apart from the Leopold escape bug everything works fine. The latest or last ATi 5.11 has fixed the lack of anti-aliasing I had before.
