Troika was making ToEE and Vampire TM: Bloodlines around the same time. My assumption is that all the tech-heads went into ToEE and all the creative minds into Bloodlines. Both games have some issues due to this split evidently. Having played both it feels like two different developers doing it, which supports my notion. Somehow I don't think, that Troika really had the finances to develop a unique property at the time. They probably needed to make some money. And maybe ToEE was a lovechild too.

I AM terribly annoyed by your sig, simply because it's annoying, but that's not the entire scope of my post. Some time ago someone with a half bible in his sig (50 lines or more) was posting and kept having his posts deleted (fortunately).

5. Read the Forum Guidelines above all else: Users may also create a signature that appears at the end of every post. Such signatures should remain at six(6) lines or less of text without imagery, or at most two(2) lines of text with imagery. All images, regardless of text configuration, must fit within a perimeter of 125 pixels high by 600 pixels wide. Because: If you make a sig that is a mile long most users will come down as a bit hostile and moderators are likely to delete your posts.

Monitor keeps entering sleep mode in KOTOR 2
Janmanden replied to 3d52brandon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If it was a CRT monitor I'd tell you to stop beating your monitor, because they power cord WILL eject eventually... (happens to me quite often). When your monitor goes to sleep, you can still hear the sounds of K2, even when walking around in the blind? -
What's the point of more guides and rules, when people (n00bs and regulars alike) can't read or simply refuse to? Excerpt from Forum Guidelines (picking the most visible): Avatars and Signatures: "...Such signatures should remain at six lines or less of text without imagery, or at most two lines of text with imagery. All images, regardless of text configuration, must fit within a perimeter of 125 pixels high by 600 pixels long" Spam: Posting frequent, annoying, and/or nonsensical posts are not tolerated in these forums. If rules and guides, especially the Forum Guidelines were to be actually enforced, then a lot things would change radically around here. A bit of restraint on everybody is really the best solution, but it doesn't quite work...show us the way by example! *cheer Child of Flame GO! GO!* (w00t) Well, Child of Flame your sig images are combined well beyond the allowed limit (besides being a pain in the arse). How about you set a rolemodel yourself before you start imposing rules on others so blatantly like this? P.s. If you used to miss highlights of the search words on subsequent pages, then you'll be glad to know, that has been fixed.

Just noticed this, but I added myself a week ago or so. At first I was trying to use add picture by the upper link or some such, but it was completely unable to verify just about every danish city (tried lots), so by the time I saw the bottom link as well I had already given up on typing city...and it worked unfortunately. I'm there, but omnipresent (all over and nowhere).

I think that just about every graphical CRPG, online or not, has a really poor implementation of groups. Doesn't make much sense to have a tank, if the big nasty dude keeps chasing the lowly mage and can do so more or less unhindered. Only text-based MMO's really make groups work well with rows (tanks and warriors in first row; thieves and some clerics in mid rows; clerics, mages and rangers in last row). SWG is an abbreviation of what?

I haven't noticed any such errors, but "clipping" errors also tend to happen more when the system and especially the graphics card runs hot. It's a pretty mean machine you have, could be that cooling was playing a trick on you.

...and pretty narrowminded. Hello to you too. Not in the extreme sense of the word, as extremes (of good or evil) are upsetting the 'balance' and if they believe that some evil will restore the balance then that seems to be they way they go, thus constantly wavering...as I understand it. Not sure that BG2 is a good example, because even though Jaheira did complain about the 'gullible' goodness she still enjoyed a good reputation and all that, iirc. I agree. First line of each code is about Peace vs. Passion i.e. Order vs. Chaos (unlimited freedom). Order isn't necessarily Good and chaos isn't necessarily evil, imo. A combination of order and chaos is the way most people are, I think.

I blame bad marketing for that. They spent alot of money to make a fantastic game and website, but didn't advertise it very well I think that the two previous games might have put a lid and few nails in the coffin as well. Not to mention all the "clunky"-ness that is sprayed all over quite a lot of reviews.

Nothing after auto-run screen :S
Janmanden replied to Vasquez's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Could be. Seen several games that messes thanks to the presence of a secondary DVD drive for some reason. -
The Game Music thread got me started listeing to tracks with the ModPlug Player. Necros (Andrew Sega) - "Takeover" (from Greed by Channel 7)
-
It's actually Kreia getting influence on you not the other way around. If you want to stay true to being a LS character you don't want Kreia to influence you. If you are just an influence-whore however, then it's a matter of DiaLockpicking like with the others.
-
I used to think that Pursuit of Greed also had some pretty good techno music (music by Necros (Andrew Sega) which was apparently also used in Unreal), but I realized that is really all it have. Sort of like an 80% music and 20% game experience. "...and there is only a 10% chance that is true.".

If talking about scaryness, then I'm still to much of a chicken to finish Aliens vs. Predator(1) as a marine. Short bursts gets kinda long burst like when you've got the shivers... Powerful or not, the eerieness of the Haunted house...still gives me the chill on replays. "Brrrains..." just has too much of a comic context association to be scary, but it's still kinda fun.

Man... That thread title is giving me ideas. Could go make a subject in way-off topic called "Word" it would be completely bullet-proof as long as it was full of words... I would like that particularly minigame a lot more if it was integrated into the story and you got exp from it too.
-
I like 'feeding' traffic with cops too, but it's still pretty harmless, considering the lack of the killing context. Since I don't play GTA I can't comment on whether it's happening already in racing, but if that context of killing was part of NFS, well... Not hunting you, but shooting you.
-
That in itself would be the perfect reason to do, but maybe you don't like challenges? It's not THAT much of problem, really. I've done Dxun/Onderon as the first planet a couple of times.

Ever wanted to go DS without face changes?
Janmanden replied to Masta Revan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I have a funny feeling you were picking up on: @Janmanden: "It would have made more sense to me if the changes had been reversed, actually. etc." But turning Bastila ugly would be like having sex in KotOR (or Fallout) without the black screens - Not gonna happen. And it's not related to storylines either... -
Like father like son...ever wonder where that proverb came from and how many uses it has seen? (w00t)
-
Sounds exactly like the trash talk from Kreia.... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hm.. You are right, it does sound like common sense and that in itself is really bad because SW is all about good and evil and nothing else, which isn't common sense at all.
-
I'd rather see Obsidian commit themselves to finishing things rather than leave them half-done... If I have to do it myself I volunteer for the job.
-
I agree with anyone who says that Revan was beyond Good and Evil. Revan had a passion for justice and fairness that was nowhere to be found with the Mandalorians, the Republic or the Jedi Order and thus he waged war on them all. He was neutral. A seeker of balance.

Do all FPS games have regenerating health now?
Janmanden replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Computer and Console
I think it should be the other way around. If you don't get treated you are gonna bleed to death - degenerate. Which was a somewhat annoying but reasonable feature of Jagged Alliance 2. -

Janmanden replied to Masta Revan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It would have made more sense to me if the changes had been reversed, actually. Looking at the character animation for the force alignment in the Character screen, you can really feel the blood flowing and the character breathing with life on the DS, while the LS is statue-like. All that repression of your emotions and focusing on peace of mind almost turns you into one of the undead...the constant stress and conflict of discipline should reflect Jedi as well.
