you cant fool true Star Wars fanatics!
Ekkest replied to global_74's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't really see where this whole thing started. There never really was an argument. AgainstOne said that Obsidian failed KOTORII. Other people called him a moron. Neither side actually argued, about anything, and I don't think AgainstOne is going to change his views about KOTORII and the others aren't going to change their views about him being a moron. So lets just leave it at that. -

I have a very funny picture of a monkey that reminds me of this debate for some reason. Truly it is hilarious. I love that monkey. -

no, that is the name i'm giving to fanboys who make personal attacks against me for presenting arguments that conflict with what they'd like to believe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe you're wrong in your opinion.... just an idea. -
I think you're all forgetting Dantooine. Nobody seems to be talking about Dantooine.

Why is everybody so angry about the game? Sure, the ending was confusing and could (and was going to be) a lot better, but that doesn't mean that the 20-40 hours you put into the game are worth nothing and that the game is a complete peice of crap. It's not. KOTORII was a great, excellent game marred by a convoluted ending, but that still makes it a great game regardless.

Looks good.

I always only use a one-word name, because that's what everyone else in the game has. I know they do have last names, you just don't see them.

Ideas for kotor 3? returning people? planets?
Ekkest replied to Draken's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'd like to see a good balance between light side and dark side characters. In KOTOR1, all of the Jedi are light sided and in fact, so is everybody except for HK and Canderous. KOTOR2 is better in this respect, but with the influence system, most of the Jedis in your party are the same alignment as you. I'd like a bigger variety of characters. -
I believe Kreia says that the Academy had been around for thousands of years before the events of KOTOR 2. Since the Mandalorians Wars were 10 years before KOTOR 2, I think that means the Academy was BEFORE M5. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep. It was Sion who said it, though.

You can only use the airspeeder before Goto's Yacht. Then it gets sabotaged. It takes three pieces to fix the airspeeder. When you find these pieces, put them into the speeder. Always do this with either Bao-dur or Atton in your party, because they will gain influence if you ask them to double-check your work.

In my first two games I had no bugs. In my third I got one every twenty minutes. But I can swoop race in my third game, and that makes it all right. Buy it.

I'm pretty sure it works like this: 1. Movies 2. Movie Novelizations 3. Books/Comics/Games 4. Anything Else But I'm not sure.

KOTOR2 Soundtrack....Dissapointing?

Yeah, "Ruins of the Jedi Academy" was great. -
No, I'm pretty sure he's a Consular.

In my first two games I had virtually no bugs, but in my third game, every twenty minutes I lose my menus and map and simply get a frozen screen. Either that or a crash. It alternates, you see.

Did You Like Most Of The Planets In Kotor II?
Ekkest replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Peragus: Ok, the droids are boring but I go fairly fast through it so Peragus is fine for me. Telos: I really liked Telos, Citadel Station and all, and I only hate one area: That Czerka Excavation site. First time, everyone died because they got split up, and the second time they couldn't move off a wall. Over than that, I liked Telos. Dantooine: I like the storyline, but other than the main quest with Khoonda there isn't much to do. Nar Shadaa: It really isn't what I thought it would look like, but nevertheless I enjoyed it. Dxun: The rain is great, and I enjoyed exploring the jungle. The second part is fun too. Onderon: I find the first section of Onderon really boring (so I often just swoop race to pass the time, despite a bug that says I didn't finish the course). I love the second part. Korriban: Fairly mediocre, though the tomb is nice. Malachor V: I really didn't like this one. It's an interesting environment, but I really din't like it. -
Patience....

I had a similar problem. I bought a lens, but Bao-dur wouldn't make the lightsaber. It turned out that the lens was an upgrade (or something) so I found a different lens and it worked.

The ending was abrupt but I kind of liked it.

I'm at the last planet now, and I agree. The story is fantastic.

1. We came from a puddle of amino acids that eventually became a race of carbon-based bipeds. 2. The purpose of life is a distraction between the beginning of the universe and the end. 3. This seems to be a very vague question. It really depends on the situation. 4. Our bodies rot and decay in the ground and then get filled with maggots that chew away the skin and organs leaving a clean skeleton that it used to feed the mole people's furnaces. Thats just a theory, now. 5. There are mole people under my bed. They told me. Or, more likely, that was a nightmare and I arrived a the first part (rot in the ground) from observation and the second part (mole people) from guesswork. If you meant what happens to a 'soul' when a person dies, I have no idea. It depends if a soul exists or not. If so, a different theory may need to be made. If not, then my "rot in the ground" hypothesis seems to be the logical choice. 6. It really depends on the person. 7. Well, for some, a time machine would help prove or disprove my views, and for the others, dying (and going to heaven, or hell, or become reincarnated or whatever) would probably change my views.

It worked for me.
