  1. I hearby announce my own new gaming console, the Pii. Now, you too can say, "I'm going to go play with my Pii", and have hours of enjoyment waving around your Pii stick, the name for my new controller. And, believe it or not, I created this new name without even the slightest bit of help from my marketing team! They even banged their heads against a wall in appreciation. What a genius am I!
  2. I thought Generals was okay, but only after the expansion pack came out.
  3. Mmmm... Roses of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) pastries. That's the best kind. I'd like to sit back, order a burger and a couple of Rose of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) pastries, and reflect upon why bakery menus are now four times as long.
  4. I played the Empire at War demo, and I have to agree that is a meh. Not bad, but not amazing either.
  5. Yeah, I have to agree that Vice City's the best. San Andreas has cool stuff like swimming and eating, but it just doesn't have the same atmosphere as Vice City did. Then again, I liked the 80s more than the early 90s.
  6. What's your favourite level of the game, like Goto's Yacht or Iziz or whatever. Mine would have to be the Forest part of Dxun. I like the scenery and the different quests.
  7. In my eyes, the bible makes sense if it's meant to be taken as a mythical legend and guidebook and not as literal truth. (for example, that the Flood is meant as a tale about punishment for sin instead of a worldwide flood actually happening). While I'm sure that parts of it are somewhat factual, after 2000+ years I seriously doubt that most of the original text still exists as it's creators intended it, and I don't think it should be considered to be as true as a history textbook. Considering much of it was written decades or even centuries after the events they record, I'd have to agree with Hades that it's not a credible source of reliable information. Then again, I'm not Christian, and this is just my opinion.
  8. I beat the final match by moving around on the mat for a little while, and then staying in a corner. If it worked right, a handmaiden or two would walk off the mat, and being in a corner meant no one could attack from behind and only three or so handmaidens could attack at once, which made it a lot easier.
  9. I've won all the swoop races before, and I have to say that Onderon's my favourite. Tatooines next though.
  10. Sorry in advance for the long post. At the beginning of KOTOR2, there are still quite a few Jedi/Sith around: The Exile Revan Bastila Vrook Atris Zez-kai-El Kavar Vash Sion Kriea Nihilus Visas Several Hundred Dark Jedi Chodo Habat (somewhat) True Sith dudes These guys can pretty much be put into four different categories: Former Jedi Order Members, Nihilus's Sith, Sion's Sith and Grey Jedi that don't have an allegiance any more. Former Jedi Order members like Bastila or Vrook or Atris are in hiding, slowly building up networks of allies (for example, Kavar and the Onderonians, or Bastila and the TSF). Nihilus's Sith include Nihilus aswell as his Dark Jedi minons and his zombie dudes, plus corrupted leaders like Tobin and the remnants of Revan's Sith (what you see on Dxun). Sion also has some of Revan's old forces under his control, as well as the Sith Assasins. Then, of course, there's Jedi just wandering around like the Exile or Kriea. By the end of the game, Nihilus's Sith are gone, Sion's sith are gone, all of the former Jedi Order members except for Bastila and Revan are gone (except for Atris, but she has almost no power any more and is pretty much exiled), but an unknown number of Grey/Dark Jedi in hiding still probably exist (after all, where did all the Dark Jedi on board the Ravager come from?) This narrows the list of Jedi in KOTOR3 by a lot. Now that the only remaining Jedi are with the Republic (at least for the lightside ending), this means that other than the occaisional Dark Jedi, all of the Jedi are now on two sides, Either with the Republic or with the True Sith. Working with the lightside ending, that means that the new Jedi Order now only has a minimum of seven Jedi: Revan Bastila Exile Brianna/Mical Atton Mira Bao-Dur (but he could be dead) Visas Possible: Jolee Juhani Yuthura Mekel? I seriously doubt that the Jedi Order has much more than that, since though the Exile trained Atton (or someone else) in a few hours or something, he/she is the only one who can train people tht fast. For normal Jedi (like, say, Zhar) it takes years to train a Jedi. Therefore I doubt any new Jedi have been trained by, say, two years after KOTOR2. The Reformed Jedi Order has allies in the Republic forces and the Mandalorians too. We still know squat about the True Sith, but in order to be a threat they probably must at leats have enough Sith and normal troops/ships to be a threat to the Republic. I'd say that to bring the Jedi Order back up to pre-Mandalorian War levels would take several decades, if not more, and so I doubt we'll see a completely reformed Jedi Order in KOTOR3
  11. No, the Xbox 360 will not be the death of the PC. Neither will the Playstation 3 kill off PC gaming. Same with the Revolution. Why? Well, while consoles make large technology jumps, and for a short time may be better than PCs, the PC is a continually upgrading system, and the PC will always eventually overtake consoles. Then, companies like Microsoft or Sony make a better console, but eventually PCs will become better than them too. Basically, since consoles can't upgrade, companies have to keep making better and more expensive consoles, while PC owners can just keep upgrading their machines for less money and at their own convienience. Plus, some games in development for the PC are already looking better than games for the 360.
  12. My review of Civ 4: Gameplay: The map being 3D makes a big difference, and being able to zoom in all the way and see your buildings or zoom all the way out and see the entire planet is cool. It is still Civilization, and you still start with a settler and build cities, but there are a lot of interesting new features. To tell the truth I thought it was actually a lot slower than Civilization 3, as after four thousand years I still only had three or four cities. The new political options are neat, and you can change your government fairly easily to get new bonuses. You can also upgrade you units as they get XP from killing things, but it doesn't seem to affect gameplay much - my riflemen were still slaughtered by longbowmen even after three or four ugrades (you get upgrades after 2, 5, 10, 17 XP and so on) There are a ton of new units and technologies and wonders. There are also a hell of a lot of new terrain improvements (like windmills which give small amounts of food, gold and production, or cottages which provide a small amount of trade income) as well as a lot of resources. Also, barbarians can attack and capture cities, and even found new civilizations. So far I've seen Navajo, Mycenean and Bulgarian Civilizations spawned by barbarians. They can found cities and improve terrain, but you can't talk to them. Nifty. Problems: For starters, some of the problems that have existed throughout the Civilization series still exist. It is still possible for a spearman to take out a tank, and for knights to take out helicopter gunships. As well, the Civilopedia thingy is a jumbled mess, since somebody decided that words were too complex and used icons for everythings. Seriously, instead of writing the word happy, they put a smiley face in the middle of a sentence. However, the major problem for me at least is the bugs. Every five minutes the game crashes (and not crashes to desktop, but instead crashes that reboot my computer). Occaisionally the game freezes. I've had the game turn completely black, or turn into a rainbow of wierd colours. Without a fix, this game can't run on many ATI cards (I have an ATI card, by the way, but the games 'works'). When I try to play a scenario the game restarts but never loads up again. This game really needs another month of polish. Overall Score: Despite the technical problems, Civ 4 as a massive amount of new features and is very fun. I give it a seven.
  13. Almost all items in this game are randomly placed, so no one can tell you where the items are.
  14. I just hope spearmen won't be able to destroy my tank force anymore.
  15. Why would a pazaak deck be warm anyway?
  16. Well, for starters lets make a list of all trained force users at the beginning of the game: The Exile Revan Bastila Vrook Atris Zez-kai-El Kavar Vash Sion Kriea Nihilus Visas Several Dark Jedi Chodo Habat (somewhat) True Sith dudes By the end of the game, Mira, Handmaiden/Disciple, Atton and Bao-dur are also added to the list if you trained them to be Jedi. So really, no, you are not the last Jedi by a long shot.
  17. They simply do not understand the joy.
  18. The original KOTOR sold 270,000 copies in a few weeks and around 600,000 copies by four months. So yeah, K1 probably has more sales than K2.
